  1. For those of us in the Kingsland/Northam corner it's hardly a problem as the PA is so bad there you can barely make him out. And anyway, as the seats only fill up 5 mins before kick-off how many are actually being 'entertained'?
  2. I can, particularly if the next 3 games go well. We went Southampton > A34 > Oxford > A43/A421 Bicester/Buckingham > MK - absolute doddle. 2 hour drive, other than a couple of minute queue at a roundabout going round Buckingham, barely saw another car! A number of pubs along the route. Parked for free in Asda next to the ground, grabbed some scram/tinnies for trip home. Good result, very acceptable away trip, will do it again.
  3. Born in p**pey? Surely not! A double-barrelled surname suggests two separate families were involved in the conception - now we all know that's never the case down there. Must be from off the island
  4. It was 30,000 yesterday evening, should imagine another 5k or so on top now.
  5. As a season ticket holder I bought a MK home and away ticket plus one extra for the home final. I then bought another 4 for mates against my customer number thinking I'd then be able to purchase their Wembley tickets. I first bought 2 for Wembley in the first period as a ST holder, then Monday tried to buy 4 more for the other home final attendees. They wouldn't let me have them as I'd already bought 2 as a ST holder - my fault should have used their customer numbers for MK Dons (home), now they've got to wait for the next period.
  6. Not exactly a final but we played Liverpool in (the all new) Red & White stripes for the Charity Shield, Wembley '76.

I blame the pitch. And another display like Saturday tomorrow night and I'm tearing up my season ticket. 6 against Huddersfield might help sway me though.
  8. Most don't. Only the wannabe hooligans. Having said that most people I know in Southampton have a 'London-ish' accent, when meeting Northeners on holiday they usually say "thought you were ****neys" when they find out where we're from - think it's more a 'townie' thing.
  9. Corp Ho-Ho-Ho-Ha-Ha-Ha :smt036
  10. A blue-fewer just speaking on Radio One "hopefully someone will come in, buy the club and take us back to where we belong". That's where you're going anyway you thick skate ****! "Is this the way to Zamaretto"
  11. I'm guessing those two ***king big arches would take a lot of the load, which may help any extension of the Itchen. Still Kingsland first, we don't want to be greedy. No harm in making Mr Cortese aware of the very nice design though. :smt023
  12. And now more posts than they get 'home' fans at nottarf krap. Continue.
  13. But think of the positives, you didn't want a "flat-pack" stadium anyway according to Corpy Ho-Ho-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha. And you'll be spoilt for choice shortly, groundshare with Havant, move to Tipnor Greyhound stadium or Southsea Common.
  14. I read somewhere they're selling from behind the goal outwards which would make extra tickets possible. Millwall had 44,159 fans at last season's Play-Off Final out of a crowd of 59.661 including (approx) 9,300 S****horpe and 6,200 neutrals. Looks like 44k is a possible max allocation.
  15. They made? You give them too much credit, just rehash of old Leeds jokes - poopey and sense of humour just don't go together. Still, we'll happily rehash them when the times right!
  16. Cheers. Was hoping you could at least choose 'upper' or 'lower' block as with SMS, don't want to get stuck to low down. Fingers crossed it is then.
  17. Just about to book tickets online, can you choose block and seats or is it just what they give you?
  18. At least they'd start the season top of the league. How about Portsea Island FC (Freak Community). For the sake of history they could play in their traditional Salmon Pink and revert back to their original nickname 'The Shrimps'. All so very appropriate.

  20. At which point did you introduce knee to groin?
  21. Or even corp ho amazingly
  22. I would have thought any significant increase in capacity would only be possible if accompanied with an improvement with access. The expensive opening of a train halt may be a requirement, however if the area along the riverside is to be developed as mooted over the coming years, that train line may once again become viable. Should only be considered if the Premiership ever beckons - still nice to talk about, unthinkable 9 months ago.
  23. Been discussed a lot on other threads, general consensus appears Brum should get a bye but we should chase compensation from FA for potential loss of earnings for being put out by a club (possibly trading whilst insolvent) fielding players who should never have been on the pitch. We'd probably have beaten a slightly weaker skates. Alternatively, put Saints, Sunderland and Cov (who would also have reason for complaint) in a hat and draw one out to play Brum. The other two could then try for compensation. Wont happen but if the blue few have been trading insolvently for some time there's going to be a lot of people demanding serious answers from the authorites.
  24. Fast forward 7 years, the "sleeping giant" was back in the big time at last, they were going to show the world how "massive" they were as thousands were finally, excitedly, realising the dream. Nothing to stop them now. 1987 average crowd for this monumentous season - 17k - a barely half-full ground. How disappointing.
  25. Surley you'll be playing in front of the 250,000 fans Avram said you had? No excuse about not fitting them in when you're playing your games on Southsea Common. You'll probably get good crowds for the Blue Square at the offset when Dinenage is their with the TV cameras telling the world how "great" you all are but they'll soon disappear. If you do well a lot more will suddenly jump out of the woodwork at the end of the season for the 'big' games and at that point you'll no doubt tell the world once again how "massive" the blue few are. :smt023
