We're clear favourites with the bookies, most managers and fans in this league - so they'll all be out and trying a little bit harder to p*ss on our party. Respect everyone, fear no-one.

Isn't there a UEFA ruling that if it's not a plain shirt then the number has to be set on a plain panel? It would have been a right mess with a stripe and big red block - will look better as a T-shirt plain aswell particularly as most wouldn't have a number added. Or, a 80s (1880s) Saints Kit? So can anyone tell where those shots were taken, is that the dressing rooms at St Marys or Staplewood as 'Pamplemousse' was pretty sure they were coming from the training ground.

They'd probably phone IKEA if the Paulsgrove 'pediatricians' incident is anything to go by* *I realise it was later said to be in Swansea but hey.
-
Could be. It would also be interesting to see what third-level clubs charge to get in there and in other European countries.

You wont have an opportunity to buy one at Christmas this year. I don't think many are contesting the price rise - although SRS's list of CCC clubs STs look better value for a better standard of football - it would just have been nice for the club to explain why they: 1: Waited so late to announce ST details and why they were withdrawing the instalment plan. 2: In light of that decision only given us a month to find the money before the price goes up significantly. 3: Why you can't buy a ST at all after a date in August (can't remember) and no Half-Year STs - many people like to buy them as Christmas presents and we sold another 2000 last season this way. ? Things could have been handled differently.
-
First they wait to the last moment to tell me there's no instalment plan, now a few days after I lay my new lawn..................... Cuds.
-
They're citing inflation and VAT increase as reasons, I'd have thought Saints could have kept the same prices, increased ST sales and keep the relatively new 'feelgood factor' and if/when promotion occurs raised prices next year in line with the top CCC clubs. No one could have complained about that.

A cynic might suggest they weren't particularly bothered if many took up Season Tickets as they'll expect people to go anyway in (what promises to be) a successful season. It does seem strange to wait so late to announce details and then give just a month to find the full amount of cash - how many will get wrapped up in the World Cup and forget? 25k+ gates with 20k ST holders don't bring in the revenue that 25k+ gates do with 10k ST holders. If they had 20k+ STs at the start of this season, they could have sold another 5k half-STs at Christmas and, should promotion happen, had 1000s more clamouring for them for the following season. On a different note, it would be interesting to see what this years promoted clubs charged for STs to give us some idea for us if all goes well.

 Apparantly there was a "young child sat nearby"!!! (probably on the next coach but heyho). They forgot to also mention the disabled person, the blind kid, the deaf mute (oh, probably not), etc. all severly traumatised by these events. He was lucky to get off so lightly.
-
More reason the club should get on and announce prices asap, as this rumour is growing and probably becoming "fact" in some circles, so when it's announced they're only the same or going up on last year's then some are likely to start throwing toys.

Interesting to read the comments below that from Rangers fans, 'Godders', who also says he's looking forward to Southampton's new one!

Is that mess on the inside of the windows?

Which Skate Owes Me £10 For Help For Heroes?
100%Red&White replied to View From The Top's topic in The Lounge
Failing that maybe he could make a financial contribution to King Edwards School on behalf of his odious, cheating football club who owe them tens of thousands. Then again maybe the skates could call off their lavish pre-season tour of the states and use the money to do the same? Just a thought. -
About half way through the second half the atmosphere suddenly dipped to be replaced by the sound of ratchets as sockets and spanners were being passed around for the dismantling of seats. - being 'tooled-up' in the Archers that day meant something entirely different!
-
I'd predict Charlton will fall away next season, they've got financial issues and will probably lose 1 or 2 decent players and their crowds are going to drop significantly - they'll struggle for 10k for some matches. Only 21,000 for their play-off game the other night - shocking! We can only get stronger.
-
But for us it's not reciprocated - we probably are one of their nearer games but for us it's about the same distance and relevance as any team from the West Midlands. We have countless 'rivals' in less than half the distance, some we'll be playing next season, namely B'muff, Brighton and Brentford, plenty more with far less miles to travel.
-
Too late anyways.

Gold's nice - have you ever seen the colour of Southampton Water?
-
Looks nice, I'd just suggest a little too busy. I'd ditch the tree and the other two roses - keep the sea at the top and just the white rose and halo more central. In reality can't see the club changing it now, they've already unveiled it as the new crest and I'm sure shirts, merchandise, etc. are already in production. Good effort though.
-
But to be fair what they meant was (what with p*mpey being such a tiny club) if some bankrupt minnows like them beat a big club like Chelski then that surley would have been a shock. Fortunately the big boys did beat the cheating small fry so it was never really an issue.

Police wary of trouble for Bournemouth game

We'll almost certainly get them Boxing Day or New Years Day, so the other fixture will be early or late season. Home Boxing/NYD please, a warm trip to the beach this summer/next spring. Thank you. -
I enjoyed reading the OS statement, settled a few nerves. I'd now like to renew my ST and look forward to a nice summer, enjoyable World Cup and the new season. Carry on.
