  1. If that's the case I'd say wait and have a midweek January fixture against some decent European side on a mid-winter break. Let all ST holders in for free as a thanks for committing to the club and as an apology for the monumental f**k-up this summer over renewals and also a chance to unveil all those new transfer-window big signings!
  2. Careful what you wish for Gooner, don't the Scallies kick off against Arsenal?
  3. I see the new Justice Secretary, Ken Clark, is today promising a shake-up for our overcrowded prisons blaming people being locked up with inappropriate sentenances for crimes when community service would be better served. Wonder what his views are on fence rattling.
  4. He certainly did refer to us as Chelsea-by-the-Sea, there were rumours around just before Lowe came in that he was possibly thinking of pulling out from Stamford Bridge, I think his relation with Bates was strained. However, we'll never now as he perished in the helicoptor crash soon after. He also tried to prise Le Tiss away from us, I think McMenemy told him he'd never get him but if he bought the club - maybe that's where it came from. Wouldn't think he left us any money.
  5. If that's how it works the blue-few should have been paying a-couple-of-hundred-quid-or-more to get into 'Nottarf Krap' each home game (maybe they could have paid for their tickets with money they didn't have!)
  6. There's a flaw in your plan.
  7. And if Sky could just stretch themselves for the away game at MK Dons too I wouldn't have missed a match before getting back for Orient home. Wahey.
  8. To be fair, she was probably heavily tied up with Riquelme/Maradonna/next mega-rich owner/new stadium construction/etc./etc. to be bringing us such trivial information.
  9. From a selfish point of view, fandabadosi, as I'll be sat in some Turkish bar drinking cheap Turkish lager now watching events unfold at home. Last year they came to the rescue in Bulgaria for the Millwall game. Good on Sky. I would however have a completely different opinion if I was back in Southampton. F***ing Sky wan..................
  10. True.
  11. You should have studied grammar a little more closely tbf And how many Saints fans will find themselves banged-up by the end of next season if "When I was just a little boy.........." continues inside SMS.
  12. You have to laugh, what a statement from one of the (and I quote the deluded blue-few) "best fans in the world", as for "twisted with hate" you've just proven you're a classic JLC, go ask your new buddies what it was like before your recent glory years, exactly how they felt about the "scummers". Dopey skate c**t.
  13. As if. It's just that all the "big breaking news" you bought us has kind of dried up lately, don't know why and you were always 100% correct. Ok not exactly 100% but it's only a matter of weeks before Maradona walks out on the Argies for the delights of Frogmore Road - let us know when his jet lands. Cheats.
  14. There were plenty of vids on the web just after the derby showing both sets of fans acting in a 'threatening' manner, the one that appears most is probably as the skates came out of Southampton Central. They were constantly trying to break out of the police cordon and, I think I remember correctly, at least one was arrested for throwing a firework at a Police horse. Yet all the Police cameras appear to have been solely pointed at Saints fans. For what these Saints fans have gone down for surely a number of skates should have faced similar justice?
  15. If that IS the reason they let everyone out the same time then the Police took a mighty gamble as it could have resulted in innocent people getting caught up in serious violence. They got lucky both sets of fans couldn't break through a wire fence and a dozen Saints fans were snapped throwing stones/rattling fences. I guess they got lucky.
  16. The Police went to a lot of trouble putting up a big metal barrier to keep rival fans apart coming out of the Northam. They then went and let rival fans out at the same time on the other side knowing a particular 'element' would be exiting from the Itchen North right into the path of the blue-few's 'element'. Looks a strange and silly decision that would surely lead to trouble. Oh................
  17. Exactly the same Police force that feels it's right to not only keep Saints fans inside the ground for an hour when we go down there but also hold back our trains so many of us don't even get into their sh*thole until half way through the first half. Ridiculous decisions by the authorities but I don't think they see it that way.
  18. Not as lucky as if he'd gone bald. Jimmy Steele was a good ginge for Saints.
  19. Agree good start for those reasons, despite their relegation I'd still expect 3,000 of theirs to come to SMS (they see it as a big fixture for some reason) so will guarantee a good attendance for the off. Yep, that will be our last chance to take a decent following away, officially 3,500, then what ever we can get in the home areas. Could be worth getting on Orient’s database as soon as. They’ll be no promotion parties ala 1978 when over 10,000 were travelling to each of the last few games. Brighton we’ll only get 800 (can they get a shift on with that new stadium and move in early, ta) - Brentford, last away, just 1,200. I’ll predict they’ll be thousands more outside those grounds than inside.
  20. David Luker has been happy before to come on here and clear up a few misunderstandings. Could the mods encourage him to do so again? It would be nice if he could give the reasons for: 1: Why it was left so late to announce the details and then not send out renewal forms 2: Why no instalment plan 3: Why no half-year STs and no more at all after August 4: Why the charge for online bookings Wouldn't take long to answer and would finally put an end to all the bickering. Alternatively, just do it on the OS. Thanks (in anticipation)
  21. Apparantly spelling 'Dinenage' wrong drives him mad. So Fred Dinage/Dineage/Drainage it is then. Fred Drainage MBE (Mr Banjo 'Ead*) *The Ugly Inside Fanzine c: 1990 - duly named for the four strands of hair across his head!
  22. So did you pay the renewal price or the price they've been quoting for newbies in July?
  23. They're just making space for our big new signing, it's..................................................................................................
  24. Yeah but they said "The Best Fans In the WorldTM" wouldn't fill their 21,000 seater ground but they did, eventually, once or twice. When their first billionaire Mandick took them over they were getting 5 or 6,000, slowly, very slowly, their gates went up and by the time they reached the Premiership they were getting a mighty (by their standards) 16-17,000 home fans on an almost regular basis. 40k will do us for the Prem though
  25. They're all moaning (with some justification) round that way with the problems created by the Rose Bowl, traffic, parking, etc., can't see them accepting a 55,000 football stadium too readily some how. Too far out of Southampton - not that I could ever see such proposals getting that far anyway.
