  1. "half" guffaw, guffaw, guffaw................................
  2. No sh*t Sherlock. I would imagine most Saints fans would probably put that at nearer 2-3.
  3. If we install this "WOW" manager in the next couple of days it will be the same again. Probably not then.
  4. Will any of the press turn up or be allowed in with their brownies?
  5. Freudian Slip, who's he, whats odds they offering?
  6. If some of the stories beginning to emerge are correct there's going to be a lot of backtracking by quite a number of fans. It shouldn't take too long for the papers to get hold of some of this once players start telling mates, coaches tell brothers, I'm sure plenty will already know around the footballing world. Keep an open mind and dont go OTT with the accusations IMO.
  7. Of course we don't really know whether he has a replacement lined up or not. If he hasn't it probably does suggest AP was sacked on a spur-of-the-moment type incident. If it was planned everything should be in place and it's just a matter of timing the announcement. What doesn't really add up if it was 'spur-of-the-moment' is why the others were also instantly sacked because if they weren't exactly involved in any possible incident then they'll be in a great position at any tribunal.
  8. A Keegan appointment would get a lot of support from many supporters but wasn't he one of the ex-players Cortese had a pop at in the press - would NC swallow his pride and welcome KK? I'd enjoy a Keegan return - while it lasted!
  9. It would, no doubt, be the fans fault. And, of course, he'd never shut-up.
  10. C o c kneys think anyone from outside the M25 are "carrot-crunchers". Arrogant waaaaankahs!
  11. Or - conspiracy, conspiracy - "the League are working with the club on an on-going basis" trying to smooth the way to help them 'get away with it' once again.
  12. Wow, I couldn’t disagree more with that! The Southampton or any Hants 'townie' accent is different to the rural Hampshire one. I know (some of) the mockney blue few have taken it to an all new level in recent times, they’ve convinced themselves they can hear the ‘Bow Bells’ from portsea island, but in the areas around there it changes to the standard southern countryside accent - something you’ll also find in rural Sussex and even Kent. I'm from Southampton, generations of my family are too and I’ve got to say the ones I’ve known and friends in general sound more ‘London’ than ‘New Forest’. I’ll upset a few here but if you do talk with a New Forest type dialect I’d recommend you change the way you speak because (here goes) you sound thick-as-sh*t! And you’ll always hear some ‘iffy’ accents amongst Saints supporters as we attract so many from Wiltshire and Dorset anyway. When I speak to northerners they think I’m "from London", if I speak with Londoners you notice a difference. Anyway, Gawd bless ya.
  13. But to be fair to 'Saint Without a Halo' and a few others you never can really tell if someone's being serious or taking the p*ss on here these days. I'm all for a bit of humour in threads on the main board but sarcasm and endless wind-ups are probably best left for the 'Muppet Show' as intended.
  14. The stadium was closed for business yesterday, hopefully (if Pilchards info is correct) things will pick up dramatically now. OK it's "only" Orient but what an opportunity to show our thanks and respect the Liebherr family. Fingers crossed for an eventual 25k+.
  15. Just back from holiday, when this sad news broke we all felt so far from home, truly shocking. This gentleman deserves a permanent memorial at St Mary's to demonstrate our gratitude for what he's done for our club. Markus Liebherr RIP.
  16. Surprised no-one's mentioned the London, don't know why?
  17. Is this the guy DBP was claiming to be the "Saints fan" heading up the case for HMRC a few days ago? Whatever, COYHMRC.
  18. Can it be done with a vuvuzela? I'm with Pilchards on this one.
  19. Hopefully some left for the Orient home game (unless you're planning on shipping a few out to Turkey this weekend?). For me the Ugly Inside was your classic fanzine *****il it got a bit too political towards the end) and when word went round a new one was coming out it added a bit of anticipation to the weekend. Note to self, must go and dig out all those old copies from the loft.
  20. He's done well at this stage of his career to sign for a bigger club.
  21. Chuck the kids in. Bigger fish to fry this time.
  22. Well they're right about something, it's only fitting that a Southampton comic should be leading the laughs.
  23. ???!
  24. Illingsworthgate
  25. You can't beat an old fashioned 1970s man's goal celebration ala Malcolm MacDonald, Stuart Pearson and, of course, 'The Windmill'. Tut, the yoof of today.
