  1. I guess if everyone piles on at Tottenham Hale anyone waiting at Seven Sisters may struggle to board when it pulls in as further down the Victoria Line?
  2. Yeah, thanks for the replies, realised you had to be subscribed to see the 'Add Files' bit. Will take Steve's advice for future needs!
  3. Looks like you can't just copy and paste an image, if you've got an image on a device or a memory stick how do you add that?
  4. I won't knock Gao, he had little impact on the playing side and general investment but he could have done a lot of damage if he wanted to claw his £millions back. He's taken a massive hit financially and walked away when he could have asset-stripped. Glad he's gone but we're still well placed to push on.
  5. This is all getting a bit childish - serious business on Saturday, got to keep everyone fit and out of trouble. First sign of a hard tackle in the box and we're fucked...
  6. Someone mentioned on the UI this morning around 500 tickets left so should be close to a sell-out by tomorrow night Smith this weekend, Farke next?
  7. Biggest shock here, Pilchards employed a skate to do some work for him! My money's on Pilchards when it comes to the fight over the shoddy workmanship.
  8. You do know that (well, according to the national media) it was only Chelsea that made changes, right? Big disadvantage once we lost the toss for the end to take penalties, gave their support a chance to finally wake up and put the pressure on. If it had been the other end in front of nearly 3,000 Saints fans it may have panned out differently and the skate would have been the scared little rabbit in the headlights. At least he still fooked it up anyway. Excellent performance, something to build on, interesting to see who makes the first 11 on Saturday…………..
  9. Watford away and Villa home before Norwich but certainly points available in next few matches. *And nice memory, we were strolling around Bologna about now five years back before jumping on the high-speed train to Milan.
  10. Looks like Burnley only have the 2 smallest blocks (47 and 48) in the far corner on sale to their fans, so probably 3 empty blocks in the Northam. Likely be one of the lowest attendances but, oddly, as they've released one of the away blocks to home fans (and selling well), most Saints fans inside St Mary's this season too.
  11. I've found this is a good place to look now and again to see what's happening - looks like a builder shortage has held this back Southampton Developments | Skyscraper City Forum There's potential to improve the city centre with what's planned with the 'Mayflower Quarter'. Southampton's worse problem for decades in the centre has been that it's too fragmented, maybe current plans may join it up more. And developing around the stadium and the wharfs along the riverside are also in the future plans.
  12. You seem to be arguing with yourself. I can't see anyone saying Southampton is particularly better than other cities, just not as bad as some are making out.
  13. I can't take credit, just saw it and passed it on! But "0-4 to Saints" ...Jesus, Mary and Joseph and the wee donkey, I'll take that!
  14. Just seen that Chelsea have only conceded 3 goals in all competitions so far this season. Time for some Divine Intervention. The three opposition scorers have been Jesus, Mohamed and Chiesa (church in Italian) so if the Gods are looking down on the Saints then we may have a chance tomorrow….
  15. My mate just told me that Draper Tools are the new sponsors of Havant & Waterlooville. Ewwwwww.
  16. It might be if there was any real indication of how this pandemic might progress, if it goes on too much longer even PL clubs are going to run into deeper financial problems. TV companies and sponsors might get cold feet as not the product they signed up to and it could lose its appeal. And then it will only be a lower price if the owner wants to sell it cheap. Maybe that's the "complications", it's been suggested Gao has dropped his asking price from £200m to £150m, maybe potential buyers are looking to pay far less in the current climate. I guess we'll find out how much Gao (and probably Kat) wants out.
  17. You're right and some will want to go whatever and a season ticket will guarantee a number of games once restrictions are lifted to allow some fans back but I think there's plenty who will happy to give the season a swerve unless things return to a more normal day out at the football. Some will renew but just turn down the offer of seats if they come out in the ballot if it feels more like attending a pre-season friendly in terms of crowd and atmosphere. Let's hope not too many get out of the habit, hopefully we'll all be itching to get back.
  18. Someone trustworthy (think it may have been Shroppie?) previously mentioned that 15-16,000 was around the figure of last year’s ST sales so highly unlikely to get near that this season (unless there's a significant relaxing of restrictions by December and half-ST tickets go on sale). Even when they start allowing fans to return, for many there’ll be little desire to go if it's still heavily restricted with sparsely filled stands and no atmosphere (OK, only marginally worse than it has been!). Other than retaining your seat the only benefit I can see for renewing for most this season is the guarantee of a cup final ticket if fans are back/still going by then………and we got that far!
  19. You could be right. This is certainly not a criticism of Romeu, but I'm amazed he's never been sent off before. I love his tenacity, expected for a player in his position but in today's game when it's so easy to see red for challenges that were perfectly acceptable a few years back, it's fairly remarkable. And I admire his ability to remain on the pitch for 90 minutes after being booked so early in a game. Probably should have won that last night for the chances created second half but as we had a half-apiece I'll accept a draw. Let's hope the officials aren't still gunning for Romeu at the weekend.
  20. Doesn't look like you're going to get a qualified answer but I think you're probably correct from the looks of it.
  21. The way we're playing right now has all the hallmarks of a Pochettino side at its best for us. His first away fixture was at OT and we were superb that night. They've certainly got a bit more to play for than us, if we retain the zip of recent matches we'll give them a game - but I'm hopeful more than expectant.
  22. It was like a day out with the Clampett cousins
  23. OK, ta - thought it was probably down to user error!
  24. I'm probably just being a thicko but...how do you insert an image into a post? Looks like you can't upload directly so tried putting it on imgur and the like, copied the URL but once pasted never seems to like it. Can't seem to find any instruction anywhere.
  25. This. No plucky giant-killing last night. They tried their best. PUP* *Pikeys Upon Pallets
