Are people still waiting for Pompey ticket email?
100%Red&White replied to 1976_Child's topic in The Saints
We're still waiting for the email. Successful in the first ballot and showing on the lead applicant's history - so there's no priority to sending out these emails. As you're from Bedford, and if you still haven't got the email by Saturday, I'd print of your sales history and try it on with that. Sounds like some have been successful like that, guess luck of the draw who serves you. If they refused, considering the distance you'd need to travel back again, I would kick up. -

I'm beginning to feel sorry for the poor overworked soles. I'm going to help them out. Ticket Office please feel free to cut-and-paste and put this simple message (that will cut down on enquiries and allay a lot of angst among a number of supporters) on the OS: Dear Fans, We have received an allocation of (please fill in the detail) tickets, everyone that applied in the first ballot has been successful but due to application numbers exceeding the remaining tickets please bear with us as these are presently being allocated and all successful will be notified in (please fill in the detail) days and please ignore the bullsh*te being spouted by the News/Echo/Thick Skates (who haven't sold out yet)/etc. It would save them a lot of earache. -
This may all be a crock of sh*t but it wouldn't surprise me if the OB have instructed the club to halt ticket sales on the grounds of needing to know how many buses will be travelling and fine tuning their military operation into the portsea island warzone. One other thing on capacity of that stand, if it is unreserved seating as some have suggested, then so many seats are always left empty (like at the back at Brizzol) and the full capacity wouldn't be reached anyway. And then there's the inevitable segregation.
-
Now I'm the first one to take a pop at the melts but tbh I can't believe we couldn't have shifted the last few tickets if it wasn't so restrictive and opebned up to the database - where's any risk in that? And there's still 2 weeks to the game, these tickets could have been sold if they really wanted - this all suits the OB no doubt.

Well, as we've all heard so many different conflicting stories about the 'bubble' so far, I'll reserve judgement. One thing is for sure, they've certainly not encouraged fans to travel down. But should we get a repeat of 2005 the only people who should feel entitled to moan should be the ones that were actually there - if some of the fans "can't be bothered" you'll be no better that the players if they bottle it. Silver lining, if the skates have to follow the same criteria for the match at SMS and only sell to ST holders who've done X-amount of aways, they'll only need 500 tickets!

Same as but we're on Bus 'lucky for some' 13 - this is the one that will be collecting all the bricks! First ballot, handed in at the Ticket Office. -

And most of the attention is going to be on the away fans and how they dealt with the situation so expect most of those cameras to be pointing in our direction. More porridge for Saints fans then if you raise your arms above your waist. -

It'll certainly have a hollow ring to it the next time it booms out "we're coming for you.......well, if me mum would let me". Why do we get so much bullsh*t from people? -
'Tis funny that. So when we encounter the inevitable incoming artillery down there on the 18th we can no doubt expect mass arrests of Saints fans for 'headbutting bricks in a menacing manner, m'lud'.

And this statement by the same Hampshire Constabulary in that report just highlights the double-standards a little more. Football intelligence officer PC Paul Foley said he was satisfied with the outcome. "The sentences reflect the seriousness of the incident," he said. "Hampshire police will continue to treat such matters seriously and will always investigate them to the fullest extent possible. This should be a reminder to those who would involve themselves in football-related violence."

Maybe we know the same mush! Didn't mention 8,000 but he was told oversubscribed. I'm convinced the skates were waiting to see if they sold out before saying how many we could sell. If they hadn't I reckon they would have taken segregation out of theirs to save face but as they've finally sold out last week after over 3 weeks on general sale it's now come out of our allocation. ****s

Now we all know the ticket office have been known to come up with some monumentally incorrect information in the past but my mate has just been down there getting tickets and asked about the skates. He was told (and I wont take it as gospel just yet) that we've only got 2,200 tickets for sale and all these have gone to lucky ballot applications. The rest of the seats are being used for segregation. Guess we're just have to wait and see.

Just 'hundreds' probably single tickets remaining as of yesterday afternoon, last few should go this morning http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2520307,00.html Got to go for the tried-and-tested 3-1.

Someone on NSC suggested Saints fans should go to today's game dressed as the old Black & White Minstrels Of course I think that would be just childish - and probably an arrestable offence these days.
-
This is not the case, all our transactions have been done at the ticket office, none online - it should register and show on (one of your group’s) history once you’ve logged in on the OS. An update on this. I phoned the ticket office and questioned it and was told that they randomly record purchases against one of the groups names (even though I’d paid with my credit card it wasn’t logged to my name) and although it only shows up to us on that person’s history, their system shows more information to them and they can see what each individual has done. We’ve now checked mate’s history and fortunately all aways done are recorded between us and it does show each ST number. Sh*te system but at least now in with a shout for skates and Brighton trips.
-
Yeah, they're going to check before I get onto the club. When I've got the tickets I make a point of getting them to register them to the individual STs - I've got to say I've seen them open each ST in front of me and type in (some kind of) details so am suprised it's not showing up. When a mate has got the tickets I know he's done the same thing and made sure we get them on our history. If it is another f*ck up it's probably blown it for Brighton away too.
-
Having got a bit nervy after reading several posts like this thought I'd go to the OS log in and check my sales history. Despite having done a number of aways this season and asking each time at the ticket office to ensure they were booked against our names on the STs it's showing just one away for me! I'm now hoping that page regarding history is as sh*te as the rest of the OS and when they check my ballot paper for the skates it will show I've done more than enough aways needed for this game. I'm going to be pretty p*ssed off if they f*ck this up.
-
If he's as old as he sounds he'll get in on a consession, depending on what level bjk's ticket is for.
-
Maybe it was but I felt more inclined to point out the worse case scenario to a lippy skate.
-
I've had a 'discussion' with a skate who insisted appointing this bloke was no different to us appointing Adkins. I did point out that Adkins already had managerial experince before coming to SMS and had won 2 promotions and that taking Appleton on was more like us appointing Gray and Wigley. Both had "fantastic reputations in the game" unfortunately it only applied to them at coaching level and who both failed disastrously as managers. Fingers croseed then.
-
I think our biggest problem is that we haven't encouraged fans to buy season tickets. It's too easy to just pick and choose your games without that commitment, it was different when fans could just roll up on the day and pay at the turnstile but the "hassle" of buying tickets in advance leaves some that "can't be bothered" for lesser games that quickly becomes a habit. So I've got no problem with most fans this applies to, I enjoy my days at SMS far more with packed stands. There's one thing I'd like to see though, the club should paint the block and seat numbers with arrows pointing in the appropriate direction in large on the backboards at the top of each aisle - the West Ham match was a classic case (in the Kingsland North where my ST is) where fans were still piling in 15 minutes after kick-off going up and down aisles looking for their seats. If they could have easily seen what way the numbers run that would have helped.

Skates struggling to sell tickets for the game
100%Red&White replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
Let’s be honest, that must be pretty embarrassing for them that they’ve gone to general sale and are slow selling – they had little over 17,000 to shift to their home fans. This could be why we haven’t heard how many we’re getting yet, their OS says we’ve been given 3,200, the entire end, but how many we’ll be allowed to sell from that may depend on if the skates sell-out or not. If they don’t maybe they’ll take the segregation out of their seats between the 2 sets of fans to save a bit of humiliation or if they do eventually (realistically I think they will – it’s only 17k FFS!) then the segregation will come out of our of our allocation. When we played them at SMS in the cup I’m sure they were given the maximum area of 4,200 but were only allowed to sell 3,800 for the same reason.
