  1. Oops. http://fansonline.net/portsmouth/mb/view.php?id=400311
  2. There is one other local club that offers ALL visiting teams 15%, they don't need to as the end can be segregated but unfortunately there's not enough home fans to fill their little ground. Welcome to farrton park.
  3. We're a bit unfortunate that some of the nearer games are against clubs with small away sections. We could have sold 2 or 3 times the amount of tickets we got for Brighton and Bristol City. And we could also have sold many more than the 4,200 we got for Reading. Leeds had over 4k at Palace on Saturday so hopefully they'll give us the same and Watford appear to have relaxed their restriction of 2k for aways as West Ham were given 3,700 when they went there.
  4. Reading had 900 at Watford at the weekend - to give an idea how bad, less than the distance for us travelling to Bournemouth.
  5. Yeah, was kidding, a good weeks training with the first team and 20 minutes off the bench against Leicester.
  6. Just seen house-hunting in Sho-ling ¦) In for Saturday - how quick can he get back from Japan?
  7. For me, it’ll be a nice stadium when it’s finished. They only need to extend the steelwork forwards for a top tier on the side stand that was on our right but it looks like they’ll always be stuck with low ‘ends’. But the location lets it down, middle of nowhere, surrounded by farmers fields, one country pub nearby but off-limits to away fans and a farm shop! Falmer? They should have named it Farmer. Nice main stand, the roof design provides great acoustics with an impressive resonance all round, it was certainly that stand that got the other 2 going. Their ‘end’ was mainly quiet and mostly all sat other than the top half of the block behind the goal. End of the day St Mary’s is a flat pack stadium but there’s not a bad view in the place, it’s ideally situated and it can be improved. It also only cost £32m, the Amex has cost £90m so far for 22k seats and will cost another £14m or so to get it up to 2k less seats than SMS currently has. It will also be a nightmare to get away from. The Amex? Nice little stadium imo
  8. They may pull a fast one and turn left by Tescos and bring the 15 or so minibuses in through Woolston and over the Itchen Bridge. Hope they bring the right money for the toll.
  9. See, we're all beginning to get along fine now. In a show of solidarity (as we've adopted and adapted your 'Sha, la, la' thingy) you should embrace the wave and join in. Forget the fact your crowds are less than half the size of ours, with all those extra fingers it will look like there's loads of you doing it! You can still sing "does your boyfriend know you're here" and we can still sing "does your sister know you're here". Everybody's happy. And when all's said and done, you've always got your hero, the 40-something-year-old-bell-ringing-bumpkin-still-living-with-his-mum to cling on to.
  10. For once, and only once, you can't argue with Ho-Ho-Ho. It's a fookin cringeworthy thing and we'd have slaughtered them if they'd done anything similar. But. For a football club that boasts that bell-ringing-bumpkin as it's figurehead, well................
  11. I think the skates have got themselves a new title now as well "Quietest fans in the world after we'd scored™". Also hate to admit it, but the ‘bubble’ was very successful for the OB. No beer and a very sterile experience but did everything they wanted it to. Derbies will never be the same again. Have to make up for it at Brighton.
  12. It certainly lacked the edge of previous encounters, a fairly tame experience from start to finish. We were at the right side and having a bit with their “der-der, der-der, f’kin inbreds” but when I think what it was like in that corner in ’84, how times have changed. It at least banished bad memories of 2005 when ‘Redknapp’s bottlers’ failed to turn up, our players yesterday weren’t in the least bit intimidated, it just wasn’t that kind of atmosphere. More like an ordinary away game, our fans didn’t seem to be particularly fired up most of the time but no less than the skates when they come to SMS. If you like your crowds a bit racous you do look around at some of our fans and despair. To think the skates like to think of themselves as “the bestest fans in the world™” it shows how deluded they really are, I look with envy at some of the crowds around Europe bouncing around making a real racket. All in all, a bit underwhelming, should have had 3 points (why didn’t Harding stick it out for a throw-in and Guly!) but an opportunity to conclude unfinished business next spring. Sha, la, la.
  13. Can't believe no one's done a.....:cough:......'Bubble Rap'
  14. Just mentioned this on the 'Ticket Update' thread, if you're looking to park or get dropped off at the stadium then you're probably best coming from Itchen Bridge end as Britannia Road is likely to be closed with many of the buses parked there. If so they'll be no entry from Northam Road. If you're coming from the east of the city you can of course use Prince's Street/Belvidere Road.
  15. Maybe not, after all the calamity of the past few weeks over these tickets who knows what it's going to be like Sunday morning? Hopefully most will go down today and tomorrow but if everyone leaves it to Sunday it could get messy. They're saying you need to pick up between 9-10am but if big queues were to build up they'd have to keep going (as it's due to their cock-ups) to make sure the buses leave on time. I spoke to someone this morning who made a good point, if you're looking to park or get dropped off at the stadium then you're probably best coming from Itchen Bridge end as Britannia Road is likely to be closed with many of the buses parked there. If so they'll be no entry from Northam Road.
  16. I think you're right. That will be 2,800, also ties in with the 400 unsold tickets mentioned on here from the 3,200 stated on the skate OS. If there really have been "hundreds" of applications discarded then you can see why people are p*ssed off. If you're one of those that put in an application but didn't hear anything, and so accepted you were just unsuccessful, it may be worth contacting the ticket office as they've now owned up to making mistakes. We put in for the first ballot as ST holders with plenty of aways but never got the email. After being continually knocked back when enquiring they finally looked into it and they had made a mistake with payment details and rejected our application. If we hadn't persisted we'd have just ended up on the discarded pile.
  17. Whoever's in goal is going to take a lot of sh*t from their end but we've got 3,000 behind the other so just make sure we give it to him. For the first time ever we've got a roof above us down the sh*thole (if the Thurs/Fri gales haven't peeled it off) so we can give it back a bit this time. No let up.
  18. So that's 41 double-deckers (usually around 70 capacity) plus 2 coaches, so if these are all full it should be around 3,000.
  19. As crap as the 'bubble' is, it's too late to change anything for us before Sunday so I'm happy to put my protestations on hold until after April. You just know all this complaining is going to work in the skates favour with the OB backing down and giving them a walk in the park to SMS.
  20. Have they sold out to home fans yet? I know they were still struggling to sell their 17k or so last week after over 5 weeks on General Sale. If there's empty seats "Your ground's too big for you" or the old "Sh*t ground, no fans" to their "play up" sh*te would be appropriate.
  21. A skate bint went down to Social Services to get yet more benefits. The office worker asked her, "How many children do you have?" "Ten," she replied. "What are their names?" he asked. "Kyle, Kyle, Kyle, Kyle, Kyle, Kyle, Kyle, Kyle, Kyle and Kyle” she answered. "They're all named Kyle?" he asked "What if you want them to come in from playing outside?" "Oh, that's easy," she said. "I just call 'Kyle,' and they all come running in." "And, if you want them to come to the table for dinner?" "I just say, 'Kyle, come eat your dinner'," she answered. "But what if you just want ONE of them to do something?" he asked. "Oh, that's easy," she said. "I just use their last name!"
  22. Even more of a shambles if true as the OS headlined 'all tickets allocated' a week ago! Can only be if, as stated on here, some have been allocated more tickets than asked for and so some have gone back for resale.
  23. Going by the OP's list, it looks like the buses are numbered from 1 from each departure point - God help those collecting bus tickets on the day that aren't leaving from the stadium, recent history says we'll see bus tickets for Winchester coach 1, etc. turning up at Bursledon and vice-versa - why didn't they just number them 1-50/whatever?
  24. Another horror story. Mate tried again this morning (after 3 previous attempts) to find out why we still hadn't had the email, despite being in the first ballot and showing as a successful application on order history (and a +1 in second ballot having got his before us!), and we finally got some joy. Luckily the queues were minimal earlier so he managed to persuade them to look into rather than (for the third time) fobbing him off with the standard "the email's going out tonight". Turns out the payment never went through, they wrongly input the card details. Unfortunately no one had thought to contact the lead purchaser to inform him so had this gone to Sunday it may have been a right balls-ache. We're finally "on the bus". Shambles.
  25. Well, if they'd put the simple information that people keep phoning up about on the OS then I'd suggest they wouldn't have had such a high level of enquiries.
