I'd suggest it's not the training kit as I've seen (what I believe is) the training kit and the shirts (how I remember it) are plain red with deeper red panels. I'll probably regret saying that

Our Future? Stadium Expansion Proposal on Season Ticket DVD

As far as I understood it, adding extra seating to the Kingsland, Northam and Chapel was fairly straightforward but the Itchen, while it was do-able, was more problematic and expensive, with issues with foundations and offices/suites. But (and I’m obviously no structural engineer!) I would have thought an entirely separate structure could be built off it’s own new footings behind the existing stand to provide a, in effect, ‘stand-alone’ top tier that would just be taking the weight of the upper bank of seating and roof. See, this building lark is easy! -
Hungarian equivalent of EasyJet/RyanAir I believe, used them before Luton-Bulgaria, cheap and no problems personally but I have heard of 'EasyJet' type problems. As the weekend gets nearer I can see more and more looking to get out there and prices going up. And up.

Staying with the local theme, I quite liked Slumdog Millionaire. Is that the only time portsea island has featured in a film?

I suspect any mention on here of "sell outs" at the skates is just tongue-in-cheek. A big gate down there this year will be anything over 10k. Giving them Bournemouth at home to start is just another example of the authorities bending over backwards to help "plucky little p*mpey".
-
So what's close to home, something he could chuck a few quid at? It couldn't be a third-coming on portsea island, his (one of many) spiritual home, could it?

Some good photos of the day and permission for free download from Cunard if any of the pics take yer fancy. http://www.cunard3queens.com/?ppwd=cunard&Action=_VC&id=95514602

It has been on the HCDAJFU thread since 5.30 this morning but probably warrants its own. Plays central or wide, is pace one of his attributes?

More than happy to see Rangers coming to the party but could be a few issues. With big visiting support expected from both them and the Gooners, are we going to see 2 separate away sections? They may have to give an entire split Northam over. Then as Saints v Arse is the last match on, the sweaties are going to bail out early and fill most of the boozers in the area. And there's always the possibility of a few skates thinking they could turn up in support of their new bestest-bankrupt-buddies from north of the border.

These are 2 excellent suggestions. Go MLG.

People moan about JCLs but the fact is every club will rediscover fans the higher up the leagues they go, at least we were capable of pulling in 30k+ in League One. And the probability that we could (if capacity allowed) add 8-10k to the attendances we'll now regularly get in the Premier League is the reason Liebherr/Cortese saw 'potential' in the first place. Any expansion will no doubt have to go hand-in-hand with improved infrastructure, continuing development of the Town Depot and Ocean Village areas may see a growing need and viable plan to reinstate the railway down to there incorporating a station of sorts to benefit the stadium. What they could do immediately is rebuild the bridge they knocked down over the track in front of Albion Towers which would considerably lessen crowds bunching up on the bridge taking everyone out on to Northam Road and causing issues with the busy traffic, especially with 32,000 most games next season.

You will but those shapely Eastern European birds (well most of em) do like a thong. It aint all bad.

I've been a couple of times, never stayed right in the middle of Sunny Beach but on the edge in (very nice) privately owned apartments between St Vlas (good bar on the beach near the marina - up the hill to the village centre) and Elinite. Last time was 3 years ago but was 'cheap-as-chips'. Paid an extortinate 70p for a pint of the decent local beer around the beach but go back a road or 2 (across the main drag through the centre - and still very touristy) and you could pay as little as 30p for the same pint! The Magaluf of the Black Sea but Brits more the minority - more Dutch, Germans, Eastern Europeans. If you're a bunch of lads you'll get the usual fare, just half the price of the Balearics (as long as things haven't changed too much in the 3 years). If you're a family it's good to get away from the middle at the end of the night. Buses were often crowded and very cheap but word of warning, they stopped running at 10pm and then the taxi rates went through the roof. The cabbies hang around the bus stops at 5-to-10 rubbing their hands! We were one end of the bay, the other side of Sunny Beach is the Old Town of Nessebar which is a quieter escape from the centre. He's right about the Russian mafia though.

Right, just got off the phone to corpy, he apologises for his recent absence but he's been a bit tied up putting a new extension on the family home He now needs a holiday, off cruising around Hilsea Creek but will inform us all of the exciting comings and goings down on fantasy island the moment he gets back

Your mate must have a posh seat, they could renew/buy Adult STs for £350 a few weeks back. I see Blackburn are selling adult tickets at £225 in 3 of their stands (cos I keep getting their ad showing on here) - so f*ck knows what Wigan must be selling them for!! With our new ticket system going live today I don't think we'll be waiting long like last year to part with our hard-earned. I think they may very well want to cash-in on the feelgood factor (promotion allowing) this season, particularly if hiked 'Premiership' prices are in waiting.
-
This just don't add up. We've had countless 'sell-outs' at St Mary's since it opened when no more tickets have been available. We've had the JPT semi-final where MK brought about 100 fans who were pushed up inot the corner and all remaining seats sold to Saints fans with minimal segregation. We've also had Matt Le Tiss' Testimonial when every available seat in the stadium was sold, 100% Saints fans and no segregation whatsoever. And how can they possibly predict the biggest ever SMS attendance when Cov haven't even nearly sold out their 1,800+ section yet (that can't be passed on to home supporters)? With segregation and all the empty seats in with the visitors section how could it possibly be the "biggest ever attendance"? Baffling.

This is what going to football is all about. In the same way I loved all those end-of-season relegation battles back in the Prem, nothing beats the mood for games like this. I guess it helps that, even if we did choke against Cov and then again in the play-offs, after the initial disappointment I could handle (a bit) more time in the Championship. The past 3 years have been as good as many I've been to in over 40 years, most in the top flight. And I do like winning most weeks. Saturday has the ingredients for a top day out at the football.

If any expansion is to take place I would imagine it would be done in stages starting with the Kingsland. It could probably add 7 or 8,000 but the clincher here would be that it would include another row of lucrative corporate boxes and suites, this is where the real money could be made to cover costs - should we stay in the Premiership and, as Cortese has said is the target, European football nights.
-
Whether we're taking 3 or 3,500 we'll probably have the full area of 4,000 seats so if you're stuck in the corner move across into the empty seats. You'll get an improved view and it'll look better on the tele!

Such an unfair world. When a man talks dirty to a woman its considered sexual harassment. When a woman talks dirty to a man it's £3.00/min (charges may vary). Got stopped in the street outside Boots today by a woman with a clipboard asking "What products do I use for grooming? "She was a bit taken aback when I replied, "Facebook". Just booked a table for Valentine’s Day for me and the wife. Bound to end in tears though - She's crap at snooker. Met a beautiful girl down at the park today. Sparks flew, she fell at my feet and we ended up having sex there and then. God, I love my new Taser! Got a new Jack Russell pup today, he's mainly black and brown with just a small white area so I've called him Bradford. If you get an E mail telling you that you can catch Swine Flu from tins of ham then delete it. It's Spam. They say that sex is the best form of exercise. Now correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think 2 minutes and 15 seconds every 3 months is going to shift this beer belly. I've just watched a documentary about children being beaten and abused in Indian sweatshops. Looking at the quality of stitching on my new trainers the little bastards deserved it! When I was a kid people used to cover me in chocolate and cream and put a cherry on my head. Yeah life was tough in the gateau. The local deli ran out of milk again due to the freezing weather, fortunately, my elderly neighbour Doreen has plenty stacked up on her doorstep.

If you're struggling with transport it's worth giving this guy a call, he runs 'Saints Away Travel'. He picks up on the Waterside, Totton, So'ton city centre, Eastleigh and Winchester. He's had luxury double-deckers for recent trips so if you're unfortunate enough to have to travel by coach this has got to be a lot better than the Bingo-Buses.
