  1. That's beautiful PES, pure passion, just what we'd expect from the island (permission for bottom lip to quiver). At least you've still got a trip to Wembley in the JPT to look forward to. Oh.
  2. Then it's found a good resting place in the Crap Joke Suppository. There's more..... A man is seeking to join the Metropolitan Police. The Sergeant doing the interview says: "Your qualifications all look good, but there is an attitude suitability test that you must take before you can be accepted." Then, sliding a pistol and a box of ammo across the desk, he says: "Take this pistol and go out and shoot six illegal immigrants, six drug dealers, six Muslim extremists, and a rabbit" The man being interviewed asks, "Why the rabbit?" "Great attitude," says the Sergeant. "When can you start?"
  3. The Echo certainly missed a trick after the Villa game - headline should have been 'GASTON THRILLER'. They're welcome to use it in January if all goes to plan.
  4. :facepalm:An Englishman, a Scotsman, an Irishman, a Welshman, a Latvian, a Turk, a German, an Indian, several Americans (including a Hawaiian and an Alaskan), an Argentinean, a Dane, an Australian, a Slovak, an Egyptian, a Japanese, a Moroccan, a Frenchman, a New Zealander, a Spaniard, a Russian, a Guatemalan, a Colombian, a Pakistani, a Malaysian, a Croatian, a Uzbek, a Cypriot, a Pole, a Lithuanian, a Chinese, a Sri Lankan, a Lebanese, a Cayman Islander, a Ugandan, a Vietnamese, a Korean, a Uruguayan, a Czech, an Icelander, a Mexican, a Finn, a Honduran, a Panamanian, an Andorran, an Israeli, a Venezuelan, an Iranian, a Fijian, a Peruvian, an Estonian, a Syrian, a Brazilian, a Portuguese, a Liechtensteiner, a Mongolian, a Hungarian, a Canadian, a Moldovan, a Haitian, a Norfolk Islander, a Macedonian, a Bolivian, a Cook Islander, a Tajikistani, a Samoan, an Armenian, an Aruban, an Albanian, a Greenlander, a Micronesian, a Virgin Islander, a Georgian, a Bahaman, a Belarusian, a Cuban, a Tongan, a Cambodian, a Canadian, a Qatari, an Azerbaijani, a Romanian, a Chilean, a Jamaican, a Filipino, a Ukrainian, a Dutchman, a Ecuadorian, a Costa Rican, a Swede, a Bulgarian, a Serb, a Swiss, a Greek, a Belgian, a Singaporean, an Italian, a Norwegian and 2 Africans, ...all of them walk into a very fine restaurant. "I'm sorry," says the maître d', after scrutinizing the group.......... "But, you can't come in here without a Thai. "
  5. I've accidentally swallowed some Scrabble tiles. My next s**t could spell disaster. I spent a couple of hours defrosting the fridge last night. Or "foreplay" as she likes to call it. After both suffering from depression for a while, me and the wife were going to commit suicide yesterday. But strangely enough….once she killed herself I started to feel a lot better. So I thought…Sod it….soldier on.
  6. The memory's a little bit iffy these days but I've an 'orrible recollection that it was actually £3m + Le Tiss. Weirdest thing I think I've ever witnessed was this dodgy geezer leaving portsea island to come and manage Southampton - and then, unbelievably, leaving Southampton to go back to portsea island!! Nothing ever surprises me in football any more.
  7. But it was still 'officially sold out'. I'm not sure exactly what point you're making but the one I'm making is despite all seats being 'officially sold out' there were still these empty blocks. Something has gone wrong somewhere. The point it only sold out a few days before the game probably shows that if (like the Man City match) games are on live TV then some people are going to give it a swerve and save their hard-earned for another day.
  8. Well it is only 2 matches in and the Manc game was officially 'sold out' well before the day (and there were actually more Saints fans inside SMS for the Wigan game). But those empty blocks top and bottom of Block 5 were ridiculous, if they're unused 'staff' seats then if you can't get them filled against the Mancs then there's going to be a lot of games falling short of a full stadium. If it keeps happening it's going to nark a lot of fans who can't get tickets.
  9. You'd have to feel a little gutted for 'em if they got gazumped now. http://sfcu.com.au/smf111/index.php?topic=19579.1025 But I'd get over it.
  10. I'm neither for or against the idea of any possible expansion, clearly the need right now is not there for some games but who knows in the not too distant future. The year we were relegated I remember most games were 'sell-outs' to home fans and I believe all were over 30k. The truth is thanks to the small away following they'll be more Saints fans inside St Mary's tomorrow than for just about any other home league fixture this season.
  11. .....and a couple of thousand available for a walk-up tomorrow. Empty seats in the away section and corporate would see it fall short of a 'sell-out' anyway.
  12. Sha-la-la, la-la, la-la-la, Sha-la-la, la-la, la-la-la, Sha-la-la, la-la, la-la-la, WTFILN?
  13. Well, if we're taking bets on this, you said 12k last week for Ajax, I said 5K. You say 2k tomorrow so I'll take a pop at 4K. They should just open the gates tomorrow (and just about every other friendly aka training exercise) and let everyone in for free. To be honest, I still wouldn't bother.
  14. They know they can put whatever they like as BH is not likely to refute it and instantly become public-scaaammer-enemy-no.1. Afterall, they're only carrying on the 'history writing' for plucky-little-portsMYTH in the same way Dinenage has been doing for the past 30 or 40 years!
  15. Decent total if correct and I doubt they'd make many more available to sell anyway as they will not want to put potential future ST holders off if they have little chance of getting match day tickets now. They didn't exactly rule out the possibility of 'half-season tickets' either in a article on the OS a few weeks back. If we stay up and they reintroduce the 'Early Bird' next season then we could possibly start to see a 'waiting list'.

  17. You say that but the Beach Volleyball starts at the Olympics tomorrow!
  18. Got to say they're pretty reasonable for Premier League - extortinate compared to most of Europe - was expecting higher. Was equally content with my ST renewal. I can't see them struggling to sell any tickets this season, if all that's left for some games are £48 seats then if you're not going week-in, week-out, it's not going to kill ya, there wont be a shortage of takers. Now, £25 for a pre-season friendly that's live on the box is pushing it a bit far. Lucky to get 5k tomorrow.
  19. I think they'll probably disagree with you tbf, it is us Saints fans that are contributing to a new thread about them. I doubt there's much difference between the two sets of fans to be honest.
  20. Not a great example tbf, we're closer to Coventry and Birmingham (as you should know ) than we are to Torquay and Plymouth! Neighbouring county, 60ish miles along the coast suggests there's a justifiable 'regional' rivalry but tbh I really don't feel any particular dislike for them, no more than most other clubs when we we're up against them. Bit of an edge the past couple of years through circumstance and enjoyed our trips down there in the 70s/80s but generally happy to have a close away day.
  21. I should think you would be. What was it again? "17th"
  22. Sha-la-la. WTFILN?
  23. Our average of '2,390' would have been a bit higher too if it included the 3,000 at the skates. Saints support on the road has never been any different in the 40+ years I've been going, it could be surprisingly massive (we took 10,000 away a number of times in the league and cup in the 70/80s - including north of the midlands Sheff Wed, Forest and West Brom) but another week poor. Due to our location I don't think it will ever be much different.
  24. He's becoming worthy of a statue down there.
  25. Yeah, I'd say that's about it.
