  1. Hearing Celtic fans singing our old 'Mickey Evans' song last night would work for Pochettino. Nice'n'simple, suit our fans.
  2. Can't be true, I'm sure I heard 'arry say he loves it up the R's. But if the position of chief alter boy becomes available then he's their man.
  3. Was a good read, Nicolas will be pleased.
  4. Hence the (see above) I don't expect my renewal in the Kingsland/Northam corner to be any more than £650, will be a bit ****ed if it is.
  5. Oh, good spot. Will have to take another look because the prices advertised recently I remember being very good. Ahem. http://www.stokecityfc.com/news/article/stadium-plan-640488.aspx Did saw the weekend, and I do understand the circumstances, adult STs at Wigan this season equated to (cheapest) £13 per game, (dearest) £15 per game, deserve bigger support.
  6. Stoke were advertising next season's ST prices on the electronic boards during a recent cup game on TV, cheap as chips. Just had a look and they start at £275 for adults and don't really get that much dearer. http://www.stokecityfc.com/tickets/seasontickets/
  7. "Rosie, Rosie what's the score?" Admittedly a bit tame tbh
  8. Quality over quantity. 70 skates make far more noise than 4000 Saints, anyone on portsea isle will tell ya that.
  9. He obviously must have been there and seen everything and will no doubt callobrate her accusations. Why else would he go to that much trouble for, what could be, some crazed-attention-seeking-woman?
  10. Ha. Ha. Ha.
  11. From what allocation? I know the end holds around 5,500 but I wouldn't think Wigan would supply that many tickets as few clubs would sell half that. I'd imagine we may have taken around 3k as you can also pay-on-the-day. Would be very good to see getting on for 4,000 up there Saturday and if last night's second half is anything to go by we're in for some entertaining away fixtures in coming months.
  12. 'Saint' Valentine's Day Massacre?
  13. Wasn't Steve Grant a regular on that?
  14. Tello, Tello, We are Southampton Boys....... I reckon we've got a corker up our sleeves to cushion the blow of the likely scoreline at OT tonight
  15. It's a great idea but I can't see us regulalry filling a side from the youth set-up, it will still need quality bought in at the prices and wages demanded by the type of top player at that level. Can any club, other than the big 4 or 5, generate enough revenue. Hope you're right.
  16. Bung enough money at it and it's a possibility. But is it sustainable? Probably not.
  17. In breaking news, the p*mpey Trust have finally concluded they're flogging a dead horse down there with the take-over and so have decided to chuck all their converted pledges into Southampton FC. Nic Cortese has insisted their £327.46p will come in handy.
  18. Love Majorca, under 2 hours away (far enough with youngsters), even more so when you used to be able to fly out from Southampton with Thompsons. Sa Coma's great for young families (good safe beach) with nearby Cala Millor and Cala Bona. The only thing we found when we stayed there 10 or 11 years ago was most things, like waterparks, were the other side of the island. As others say, Alcudia is also great for families and Pollensa is next door and worth a visit. Santa Ponsa is another good shout with the buzz of Magaluf and the waterpark/Pirates 10 mins away in a taxi. Another great beach in a bay, one end you’ll find the ‘Irish Strip’ if you want the typical Brit-type holiday and the nearby ‘Square’ has a lot going on, the other end seems a little more sedate (and upmarket!). And you can fly from Bournemouth which saves the drag round the M25.
  19. I fear you may be right and if it escalates and we drive out Cortese, the Liebherrs will probably follow. I'm gutted we've just lost a top up-and-coming young manager who will have learnt a lot from this experience and go on to become even better. Could come back to bite us in the arse. Cheers Nigel, some great days, all the best. But don't be a bunch of drama queens, get behind the new man or at least use this anger to get behind the team. Would be the first time for some of our fans this season.
  20. I believe undersoil heating also destroys the root system of the grass which would just cause other problems for our luverly billiard table pitch.
  21. We need all the chants we can get, there's not that many and should adapt probably our noisiest chant of the past couple of seasons too. "EI, EI, EI, O, Up the Premier League we go, When we get to Europe, etc., etc." As long as we continue in the right direction, of course!
  22. Derby and Forest are a bit border midlands/north but we've taken 5k to Derby a couple of times in recent memory and 10k to the City ground in the 70s. We had around 4k at Old Trafford when it was being rebuilt for a night cup game (on Sky) a few years back - good goal by Shipperly ruled out btw - 5k at Liverpool and 3k at City in their first season at the Etihad. I can remember big turnouts at Blackburn and Bolton in the past but not sure over 3k. There's probably more.
  23. Spending money they didn't have. Trading whilst insolvent. Again.
  24. .... One more game at FatPipe Park And they'll be gone tomorrow!"
  25. Is it still only "250,000", it seems so long ago since the original "around 100,000 turned out for the triumphant homecoming", surely it's now up to "300,000" down on Fantasy Island?
