  1. Pick for me from the previous thread: Allez, Allez, Allez, oh, SouthamptonFC, Koeman's red army! Like this...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbzS87U3bsc or/and Ei-Ei-Ei-O Up the Premier League we go, And when we get to Europe This is what we'll sing, We're Southampton, we're Southampton Koeman is our king.
  2. Could be a bit messy in North London over the next couple of nights, Arsenal have got Galatasaray at the Emirates tomorrow before Spurs take on Besiktas on Thursday. That'll keep everyone on their toes! Fingers crossed for an uncomfortable night at WHL and keep a bit of pressure on Poch. Guess the fans haven't totally warmed to him there yet as they're struggling to sell tickets - appently loads of north London's Turks have bought tickets all over the place. That'll keep it interesting.
  3. I think I've been misunderstood. Translation: No credit due - far too easy for them to get out of paying their debts. Cheating the taxpayers/ripping off charities/etc. dirty work by the 4th division smallfry. Again.
  4. Good work Bearsy hissing always goes down well at the lane.
  5. Credit where credit's due - it couldn't have been easy repaying everyone and clearing that £150m debt. Taxpayers/charities/local business community rejoice, great work for such a small club.
  6. Fook, didn't we? How did we get on, did we win? Don't know how I missed that?
  7. Look, I despise the saggy-faced **** as much as the next man but (and the same with Poch) I'd rather just blank him and up the decibels in Koeman support, not enough inside St Mary's really do the intimidating thing too well. Oh, hang on, I've just changed my mind, give him dogs. And Hoddle, and the ex-skate player, and their gobby fans, and Kid Jensen, and Fern Cotton, and Bill Bailey, and Shane Richie, and Martin Clunes, and Pete Doherty...............................................
  8. Is there room there? I think that's Siemans Railworks and why sometimes there's train stopped right outside the stadium. A station halt has been suggested a few times but it's hard to justify the expense of something that would only be used every other week for 9 months of the year. Possibly the best bet is further down the line towards the old Terminus once the proposed riverside/Ocean Village developments take place, depending what finally goes there - the 'Snow Dome' bit the dust some time ago.
  9. Until they find a way to stop fans watching for free at home or in the pub, drop prices and get them back into the habit of going again, then it's probably a long way off.
  10. It's got to be the Main Stand if any. Personally, I feel renaming Staplewood to the 'Markus Liebherr Academy' will be a lasting tribute.
  11. I want a 'Yes' vote if only so we don't have to put up with all the sucking up/apologising to the Jocks if they vote to remain. But I fear a resounding 'No' and Westminster forever bending over backwards for them, they're going to get their cake and eat it too.
  12. I don't know where you've seen complaints, there's certainly not been any on here as far as I can see, just a few suggesting that it may have been up to 9,000 as this is what other clubs have received for cup games there. I think over 5k will be a great turnout and by this time next week they'll be Saints fans trying to blag tickets as they've missed out.
  13. Couldn't help thinking the same when I saw that on the news this morning. This man is running nearly TWO marathons a day, day-after-day, for Cancer Research. TV should be falling over themselves to try and get Franny's donations over that £1m.
  14. Looks like around half of the allocation already sold, not bad as today is the first time they go on sale unrestricted to season ticket holders and still don't go on General Sale until sometime next week. If you can buy tickets at the stadium tomorrow that could well eat up a big chunk before it gets to GS.
  15. http://tickets.saintsfc.co.uk/PagesPublic/ProductBrowse/VisualSeatSelection.aspx?stadium=SM&product=H14NEW&campaign=&type=H&productsubtype=&productIsHomeAsAway=N Could well be a near sell-out by Saturday only really Itchen corners remaining - Blocks 1 and 3 are certainly not popular this season, sparsely populated against WBA.
  16. Hopefully it'll be a full stadium to show our appreciation when comes out of the tunnel - hopefully the stewards will turn a blind eye to all the beer carrying throngs from the concourses.
  17. Good point. Intersting to see Boro have a 'sash' with Adidas this season (but will be 'oh so last year' come May), would be happy to see a Keegan/Reverse Ajax shirt next it is Adidas.
  18. So when does the 2014/15 Kit thread start? As it's no secret we're back with Adidas next season when does the speculation begin? [tongue-in-cheek-thingymajig]
  19. If he's yer typical Millwall fan, I can't see him being too bothered by the 'sorts' on here It is amusing to see some of the more 'hysterical tart' types from earlier this summer now trying to justify their rantings and claiming victory with regards MS. It would be nice to think that some may have learnt a lesson to not go so overboard too soon leaving themselves nowhere to go, like now. Unfortunately, if we have a decent season we may have to get used to this scenario being played out again next year - I wont hold my breath.
  20. I'm sure we can all sacrifice a few beers this weekend to nudge the donations up. Maybe we should pepper Sky Sports suggesting they back this fantastic effort - I'm sure if Honest 'Arry was putting himself out like this we'd never hear the end of it!
  21. You can travel Southampton Central to Highbury & Islington (via Clapham) for £25.90 each on a Groupsave of 4 but needs 2 changes, Clapham Junction & Vauxhall (2hrs). Alternatively, Southampton Central to Clapham Junction with a Groupsave of 4 and a travelcard for the Tube for £27.90 each. At least you can buzz around the capital this way for a drink.
  22. Return to Waterloo for 1 £36.70 Groupsave for 4 £24 each Groupsave with Travelcard (for Tube) £33.60 each
  23. This could be sold out before or soon after it gets to 'Season Ticket Holders', can't see it making General Sale if no further allocation. Thurs 4th Sept – Season Ticket Holders with at least 3 away games from this/last season Monday 8th Sept – Season Ticket Holders with at least 2 away games from this/last season Wednesday 10th Sept – Season Ticket Holders with at least 1 away game from this/last season Friday 12th Sept – Season Ticket Holders Monday 15th September – General sale
  24. Best to drink in London and get the Tube nearer kick-off but there's a few pubs down the Barking Road (the right side of Upton Park for away fans about a 10 min(ish) walk to ground) that will have Saints fans in. Plenty of places around to grab some nosh too.
  25. You're right, it would have. Far from amateurish/costcutting, they did it last week to save sitting on the coach for hours trudging through M3/M25 traffic on a Bank Holiday Monday, the coach set off empty earlier in the day to meet them when they arrived at the station. If it ensures the same awayday result as Tuesday then who could complain? Ah, stupid question.
