Nicola Cortese wants to return to English footie
100%Red&White replied to Delmary's topic in The Saints
It would be amusing if he did just to see Jim White go full circle from kissing our 'arris in Cortese's era, to *****ing all things SFC once he left, back to the kissing malarkey again whilst once more being VIP'd around Europe with the Don. -
They'll probably hold off for a bit yet before unveiling to try and shift some of the piles of current shirts at the knocked-down price. Will be interesting when they do though as, contrary to suggestion on here, I've heard the away isn't yellow. I'll be sacking my 'source' if it is.

It may well have been after kick-off, there were long queues outside, we didn't get in until 5-10 mins in and there were still loads behind us. Thought it was an 8pm kick-off for SKY games, guess a few others did too.

Well, he did say he wouldn't relocate them more than 15 miles, he's buying both of us aint he 'Southmouth FC' 'ere we come #itshappening

Or...in the Solent.

As the 'crow flies' 15 miles from the centre of portsea island puts it just about bang on the centre spot at St Mary's. No, **** off.

It would be rude not to

I can't see any of the other 'Big 6' team struggling to sell 3,000 tickets for an away game. It was the same last season with City, we got the extra block for home fans then too. TBF, it'll probably be a good, noisy 2,500.

If you want to sit but still get a bit of atmosphere around you then the Kingsland North is about your best bet. The only standing in Blocks 35-38 is at the very back but you still get a fair proportion getting involved in the vocal support. The slow, droney OWTS on constant repeat is becoming a bit of a Chinese torture these days though.

Pointless subsidising these tickets then, better away at Liverpool or Middlesbrough. We'd have sold 1,500 easy at £30 like we've done for the past few seasons at over £50 a ticket, live on TV or not. Do Chelsea make it financially attractive to the visiting club to take less tickets so they can then sell them for more to home fans? F*ck up by SFC.

I would have thought if we had the opportunity for the next allocation it would have been up on the OS yesterday, still saying sold out. Looks like that's it, crazy decision. First batch sold out quickly on restricted sale, after Bournemouth our nearest away game, we'd have shifted 3k at the subsidised twenty quid. Will look sh*t on TV. It could be that home tickets aren't selling so fast now (some empty seats at the weekend, plenty tomorrow night) with not a lot to play for and the club may be rather hoping fans spend their hard-earned at St Mary's?

The coverage is improving, now popping up on billboards all over the country. This one, looking good, just down the road from fr*tton park. (is that Claude Puel on the one next to it?)

All they need to do to get the pulses racing is just keep Shane Long's goal at Anfield on repeat, works for me. Heard a little rumour Saints have got the decorators in, making our Wembley dressing room look a bit more like home.

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

Why were they interviewing Jurgen Klopp? -
And that's just the Russian OB.

Heard on radio this morning that Mourinho is planning on resting some players from tonight's match (possibly mind games), ideally St Etienne get a scoring draw or narrow defeat (away goal/s would be nice) tonight to keep the second leg on a knife edge and force them to send out a strong side to France. Sunday they play Blackburn in the cup so a weekend off for the big boys. Other than the possibility of them picking up injuries, can't see much advantage to us and when they're performing like they are right now they'll all want to just keep playing.
-
The original allocation was 31,461 so with these additional tickets that will now be 32,124 Saints fans (+ Club Wembley etc.), hopefully most regular home fans (and loyal aways), ST holders and members, will now be catered for.
-
It would be interesting to know where those newly released tickets were on the lower tier and if all in the same block, did anyone see and take notice? It could give a hint as to whether the FA or Saints put them up. Noone could really complain if United were given that many extra tickets considering the demand their end but 5,000 extra seems a little hard to believe. Where have the FA suddenly found all these seats from, just can't see where, other than corporate, they could be situated?

Who here wouldn't go to a match because it's Valentine's Day
100%Red&White replied to The Cat's topic in The Saints
She'd understand. Wasn't it Valentine's Day when we stuck 4 past Liverpool at the Dell on a snowy evening back in the Bally/Le Tiss days? -
These have been done a hundred times before but it does sum up the situation quite well https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=m9rNlLrFNGw&app=desktop

This group of fans would benefit greatly if English football clubs were allowed to install safe standing. If they were to throw their collective weight behind the campaign it might just open the eyes of the stubborn authorities and the ridiculous reasons why they keep their fingers in their ears to the obvious and very safe option to the present 'unsafe' standing inside stadiums.
