  1. But if Hughes is determined to paly that way and we do persist I'd still says that was our best shout at a 3, it aint worked with the others.
  2. Welcome home Danny. Can't see the club gambling another £20m so am hopeful they're fully confidant his injuries aren't an issue, if he gets back to the player he was before moving to Merseyside then it's £20m well spent. With bells on.
  3. If we do persevere with a 3 hope it includes Yoshida, Vestergard and Bertrand with Cedric and Targett wingbacks. His best spell for us was while playing there a couple of years ago with Bertrand behind him left side of the 3.
  4. Can't see it myself, just not a good fit either way. Reckon he'd last about as long as Eddie Howe did before wanting to get back home. Can't even see this, at a stretch, as mind-games as we match up on Sunday, they certainly wouldn't be that concerned with us!
  5. Ceased being rumours weeks ago https://southamptonfc.com/news/2018-06-16/gallery-new-southampton-under-armour-kit-launch-1819
  6. When you consider he was probably one of Pablo Escobar's best customers you can see why the coke-head loon was getting so upset (he was actually known for visiting Escobar when he was banged up) Some are suggesting the game should be replayed, this may not be such a bad idea, could we get the 'Hand of God' game replayed?
  7. I know the bloke, probably a few more on here do to, (nice fella/not a virgin/married contrary to a few recent suggestions on twitter! ) who put that up as a light-hearted piece but he's now got 300k followers from all corners of the earth because of it, most taking it in the right spirit, a few a bit more abusive Still, if you want to get yourself a free World Cup pizza..........................................
  8. Realistically, the only reason we wouldn't be bottom of that list is if he really wanted to be reunited with Mark Hughes.
  9. It seems pretty common knowledge now it's a variation of red and white stripes for the home, yellow and blue away but this rumoured 2-tone red stripe 3rd kit is a bit baffling. Is there actually any need for a third kit, the home and away won't really clash with any other PL side. Maybe it's a 'red' herring to keep fans guessing or a special one-off for our Chinese tour as they do like a red shirt out that way?
  10. Memorable night - loads of footage to bring back the memories https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ROLLING+STONES+SOUTHAMPTON
  11. Yeah Hounslow West is somewhere we used a lot a decade ago, fairly straightforward to get to and large patrolled NCP car park alongside Tube station (used to be free at weekends). Checked and you’re correct, £5.50 all day (24 Hour parking), think I’ll probably use this again. Ta for all advice.
  12. OK, cheers all - had a look at Kings Mall Hammersmith but would cost £50, but will take a look at other suggestions. Ta - 3 posts and out!
  13. Cheers Gemmel - should have added it will be a Friday so does that get rammed with commuters/shoppers by mid-morning?
  14. Any recommendations for all day parking near a Tube station outskirts of London, either street parking or car park? Driving up from Southampton arriving mid/late morning, back to car late but before midnight. Haven’t done it for a few years, used to drive to Richmond/Wimbledon/Hounslow and jump on the Train/Tube but things may have changed since then. Ta.
  15. But does he fit Reed's profile of a 'Head Coach' for the long term? Hughes could be a bit too 'Koeman-type' for his 'vision'. I'd give it to Hughes today.
  16. A few of us will remember this last day capitulation
  17. 'SO' comes before 'SW' in the alphabet so they go down. My rules.
  18. They did, not that it helped in hindsight! I believe they keep the coach oop north most of the time, easier to collect the team from various airports for away games, they don't do a lot of travelling on coaches. Think it's garaged somewhere around the Preston area, that'll be handy for when we play them next season.
  19. Just in case anyone missed out when it 'sold out' a few weeks back, I went on the axs site earlier and there's now a few more tickets available (£79 and above). I was able to buy tickets this morning.
  20. Understandably, some are giving us as much chance as they did at Anfield last year. It's tough right now but maybe this will restore a bit of faith and belief for some to get up to Wembley. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVb3NfTf7P8
  21. But unfortunately, one's more match fit than the other. Austin will be on the bench at best, but hopefully well up for it if he gets on. And hopefully, Hughesy made his effect count for the second half at Wigan, the first 45mins was shaking the Pellegrino dust off. I'd imagine both sides will be terrified of losing Saturday so I'm not expecting cavalier football, how the home crowd react to their present situation will have a big impact. Under Pellegrino if we went an early goal up I'd expect us to shut shop and eventually concede but an early goal on this weekend will probably be crucial to either side and will set the mood of the crowd.
  22. "If both Southampton and United are successful it will mean that every Premier League club has an affiliated women's side next season." Relax everybody, we stayed up!
  23. So, is this confirmed that we originally took the full allocation for the Monday night but once it was changed to the Sunday (more accessible for most fans) the club decided to send some back? I really can't get my head around this one, we don't usually have a problem selling-out this fixture and why was this decision taken weeks before the game when there was still plenty of time to sell them? I'd have thought we'd have sold them with Pellegrino in charge, even more likely now we've had a lift with the new manager. We're now battling to stay up, we need everyone possible behind us, why are they quibbling over a (relatively) small cost of any (unlikely) unsold seats, particularly when they've just announced record profits again. FFS they forked out thousands to take 60-odd staff/players away for a Spanish jolly a few ago as a reward for playing sh*te!
  24. It is but you'll get bored very quickly just looking at what's on offer.
  25. There's a big mountain named after him in Palermo.
