we just can play away from home on these pitches. We need to be more solid. I'd go for a 4-1-4-0 formation with 8 centre backs, making us harder to break down.

Has this website sold its soul for 30 pieces of silver?

In fairness I started out in the Saints Forever forum in about 2003 and must say that I found the website as a whole alot better than this. However, it's still a place where I can discuss SFC with other supporters and although it contains some absolute muppets everybody has an opinion -
I once saw Jim Magilton miss a penalty. Home to West Ham at the end of 96/97. We won 2-0, Slater and Mickey Evans who chested the ball in and headed the post. Dodd was sent off towards the end if i remember rightly

yep I'd agree with that

Just got back to halls. Battered. Look so much better after going to the diamond, got hold of midfield and bossed the game. **** game, **** pitch, super Rickie bags a brace to save us. Kelvin looked dodgy but kept us in it, Chaplow was absolutely superb and the super saints are going up!!! -

I would beg to differ but there you go. Point proven Font wasn't false, well done ITV, chin up Invicta
-
It is pronounced Fonte. A member met his Mrs once and said it grated on him how we call him Josay Fontay when it's actually Hosay Font if that makes sense

I always tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. However, Watford away that season he got into so many good postions and then just seemed to confuse himself and more often than not got tackled rather than just delivering the ball. I've never been so frustrated at one single player than i was that night. He is awful. End of

my mates a leicester fan. apparently he shows flashes of brilliance but is too incosistent atm for npc. Should be a cracking signing for us apparently

Ok, here is my opinion. I wouldn't overly disagree with anything that he has said. Something is going on behind the scenes with regards to club ownership. To me, it would seem that Cortese is trying to follow Marcus' dream and the family simply do not match that. I'm not saying they don't like Nicola or the club but would you really spend millions of pounds of your inheritance on something you weren't overly keen on. This was Marcus' vision, not his family's. Once the story was printed (the sun i believe) Nicola pulled a very smart move in doing the interview to reassure fans and get everybody behind the club again. I'm not saying that he is lying but you don't get to his position in life without being a good people person and being able to steady a rocking boat. He knows that some unrest from fans this season would seriously jepordise the promotion push. The bare facts are that there's a week left of the transfer window and we haven't been anywhere near as active as we need to be. Forget all this waiting until the end of the window, if we wanted players and had money we would be making things happen. Look at last January. I understand this will sound controversial and I'll be branded anti-Cortese. I'm really not, I couldn't be more behind this football club. I'm just saying that instead of being so quick to assume things are ok off the back of one interview Cortese did is slightly naive. It is my belief that the funds are not there and Cortese, to his credit, is doing a wonderful job at keeping the club together at a crucial time for us.

yeah that would be excellent. although as fate would have it I'm coming back for the 125yr celebration at the mayflower on the 13th so if I can shift plans I may just make it
