I would really like it if the crowd shouted the surname of the goalscorer after the pitch announcer has said the first name. I know they do it at Barca, PSG and Arsenal plus loads more I expect. I think it sounds really effective. PSG do it for Cavani in this video.

The epitome of a first world problem.

It won't make them go away, because there will always be someone to bite. Especially when a lot of the people on here aren't that internet savvy. It's purely for personal well being and peace of mind. Don't get wound up and don't bite.

I think Richard Bacon recently did a documentary about internet 'trolls' as he was abused on Twitter. Annoyingly, the term 'troll' has now been skewed by the BBC and the Daily Mail (and other papers) to mean 'internet bully' which is different. Those people who told Richard Bacon that they were going to kill his family and the scum on ask.fm who drove that girl to suicide aren't trolls, they're bullies and cowards. A troll is a more lighthearted approach without the malice. GS is a true troll and is a true artist when it comes to forum trolling. He appears to be ignorant and makes ill informed comments that appear to be knee jerk reactions in order to elicit a response, when in truth I doubt he feels this way (at least not as strongly as it seems) and knows exactly what he is doing. The follow up response to that naive poster above shows this. He's going in for the kill.

He is clearly saying that to get someone to bite and you've just done exactly that. Is that not completely, blindingly obvious? How have you not learned that by now? You writing this response is why he does it. I have been on so many forums and I've never known any other forum where people just can't seem to grasp this concept. Forums have trolls and people who get kicks from making inflammatory comments. On 99 out of 100 forums, these people get either blocked, banned or people just plain ignore them, a strategy most people learn as children. But not here. It's crazy. Wise up!
