My mate Jerry lives in Perth, from Andover and emigrated there 10 years ago-big Saints fan.

Just be thankful that with the Northam, Kingsland and Itchen corners, we have 3 or 4 thousand who actually chant. The likes of charlton, fulham and palace can probably muster a few hundred "singers " between them.I'm sure they would love to debate the quality or otherwise of songs. If you like the play list, join in, if you don't ignore-its that simple.

Briliant attendance and 4,000 more than sheff wed-despite them playing high flying of bournemouth.

I'll be there Old Sarum-looking forward to it.(tho may be hung over from watching a band at my local in Barnet tonite)

I have a spare train seat with London Saints-leaving Kings X at 9.15am and arriving Hudders at 12.05pm £28. I also have spare match ticket-though this will need to be traded up to an adult on account of my 15year old injuring himself playing footie and can't make tomorrow. Any takers-text me-Simon 07738587924

Greetings Tim. I saw your thread on this on the fansonline-pompey MB- - Sure as hell got a rise out of those in-breds-Can you imagine them getting anything like 19k in the same circumstances? Also RFLive were going on yesterday about how huge a club and what a large fan base Sheff Wed have-2,000 less than SMS yesterday.

Very tempted to go-anyone driving from London area and want to share peterol costs? (2 of us)

Must give credit to their manager who has worked wonders, but as for some of their pathetc fans, they should stick to clubs of similar size for their rivalry like Weymouth and Dorchester. To hear some of their muppet fans singer "scummers" at the tops of their voices to us-pathetic.

It would only take 50 or so to get together at the back of the Chapel to start things off up there-i'm pretty sure more would join in so that when we were attacking that end, there would be a half decent atmos.

Compared to most grounds in this country, SMS remains 1 of the best for atmosphere (Well the Northam anyway)- i went to 8 away games last season, Brighton were ok and Millwall in small doses but other than that-i don't recall ANY singing from home fans. The likes of Spurs are good on big games but like most of the prem have a very poor atmosphere-SMS would be better if the club , police and stewards didnt impose various restrictions-not least closing the Itchen corner. So rather than worry about singing too slow or too fast, or the wrong kind of songs-i'm just pleased we've got a large singing mob at one end.

Fair point latter day.

Well said Noodles and Docker. Loads of inter net anger on here, but please chaps, if you feel that strongly about them, go and tell them to their faces. I have not met many of those blokes, other than to have recognized them from a lot of away games over the years. I for one don't just want a sanitised, party line view on issues which affect SFC and lets be honest, there hasn't been that much info forthcoming from the OS has there? These guys are asked for an opinion, it really isn't worth getting so worked up over.

I ws 16 at the time, it was like the England Scotland games from the 70s-huge untamed herds of Utd fans, long hair and flares absolutely everywhere-best day of my life! You can see on here how mental we went when Bobby hit that goal.

Ok quick question. All media outlets, Sky, BBC the Echo etc etc, will always seek to canvass the views of fans on a particular issue. On most occasions, not always, i have agreed with the points of views of those asked. I don't ever recall any members of SISA, Illingsworth or whoever, begin their interview by saying... "before i start, can i just say i speak on behalf of Saints fans" That's because they don't so chill out. So, who do the media ask when they want an opinion from fans -The media quite rightly, don't always want the party line. I don't recall similar organisations from other clubs getting such abuse when they are interviewed. Just a thought.
-
I atteneded a number of SISA meetings and they campaigned on a number of issues on behalf of fans, for example the Archers being given to Saints fans-remember how galling it was being outsung by away fans for the brief period away fans had it.I'm not saying only SISA were instrumental in the Archers being ior us but they campaigned for that among other issues. So yes, for me, SISA and other fans groups do a lot of good on behalf of many of us who don't stick our heads above the parapet and just snipe behind their keyboard. If some of you clearly feel so strongly, go up to some of these "spokesman" and tell them directly how you feel..

Some disgusting snide attacks on a fellow Saints fan here. If some of you think NI really is a c**T, then why not go and tell him to his face, you'll find him before home and many away games. Rather than just having ex players talk about our situation, surely we want to hear what some of our fans think too. -

How much **** will NC get from the fans?
simonsaints1 replied to Cestrian Saint's topic in The Saints
Much will depend over the coming weeks who we bring in to replace AP. -
I've been 3 times and love the place-although not cheap, i would strongly recommend The Phoenicia Hotel in the centre of Valetta

My partner is from Pakistan so i have a pretty good insight into their culture and belief systems. Quite frankly you would be appalled at what goes on behind closed doors in much of their communities and the way women are treated compared to men. I would say the problem is more cultural than religious and many from the indian sub continent exported their primitive ways when they came here and want the best of both worlds, jobs, eduacation, welfare, yet the second one of their daughters crosses the divide and dates a christian-all hell breaks loose. I could write much more about this.

Comfortable win in terms of defence and dominated possession but rarely opened them. Barnet fans i met with after rated us a lot better that watford and charlton who they beat recently. I would estimate out of a crowd of about 800-there were around 300 Saints fans, mostly behind the one end which was open and some in the main stand.
