I used to drink in there but now it's dropped standards to very low. Foreign satellite TV, expensive beer, penned in fans. I now drink in the Old Farmhouse, big beer garden and nicer bar staff

you get another one and then eventually sacked if it carry's on. Well, that's what happened to me

I also have it on good authority that Everton, Newcastle and Fulham approached Lallana in December/January just before he signed his new contract with the view of offering him a contract whn his old deal expired. He thought enough of them enquiries by signing his new Saints contract days later. He is a Bournemouth fan so most of this thread is probably ********

Why are there so many miserable, moaning people on here. If you're not going to be positive and support our new signings/team then why do you bother?

No. Happy to help

The ref last night was appalling, I remember in the first 10 minutes, Clarke got put through for the ref to blow up for offside, he then looked towards the linesman who has his flag down and then felt he had to put it up because the ref had made the decision. This along with the blatant removal of all authority with the Swindon player's sending off at half time was completely embarrassing. Otherwise we played well, Martin looked a bit shakey on the ball, but he played well defensively. We seemed to take out foot off the gas in the second half and Swindon grew in confidence. Guly looked uninterested and Harding didn't have his best game. But Cork, Schneiderlin and Lallana showed their class. Was pleasantly surprised with Forte. He held the ball up well and made a few good runs, he held the line well and, I know he got a bit of luck from the keeper, but scored

Ward-Prowse is injured, was supposed to be traelling but has picked up a knock and has stayed at home

Does anyone know for definite how many tickets we have available on the night?
-
Maybe they couldn't decide between Nathan or Daniel so merged the two together?
-
Millwall would accept that, they've been throwing punches into many deals for years

to reveal a deadline day transfer I wonder?

from @Fourth-Official I said last week Southampton will rock the boat for Leicester, I'll develop on it a little more #nickymaynard

I think the Maynard rumour could have some legs, Leicester are supposed to be signing Matt Derbyshire, Which would indicate they have changed their mind on Maynard. Would also fit in with the reports that we are rocking the boat on some potential deals by them.

@ArseWenger: I'm not signing Chamberlain, he is too old for my liking, failed medical as dad couldn't get head through door. #upthearse 2 minutes ago

Nigel Adkins on talkSPORT with Keys and Gray
supersonic replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Keys and Gray probably think Cortese is a girl so will moan to Adkins about females running football clubs -
And...(echos the big bid rumour) @Fourth_official Leicester City are also concerned Southampton may rock the boat on a few of the deals they are lining up as they look to spend big #Saints

@Fourth_official Southampton have enquired about the availability of Leicester City striker Martyn Waghorn #Saints #LCFC web • 05/08/2011 17:11 Also from the same guy... I was having a discussion with an interbred skate at work and neither of us know the true reason why Saints and poopey have such a fierce rivalry. Does anyone know the real reason? I have ready several contradicting stories about water ways (which I don't understand) and a strike in portsmouth dockyard in which dockers were taken from Southampton to help out. Also, any links or information would be very useful as I start my final year of university in september and my FYP is based on football hooliganism and rivalries. Thanks in advance

Just out of interest for anyone who went, how did Alberto Seidi play? Supposed to be a real gem of a player and very highly rated
