  1. Am I right in thinking this is a "mustn't lose" game? because then we stay above Reading (presuming they don't beat Brighton by 11 goals) As has been previously stated: WIN = We're as good as up DRAW = Depending on Brighton v Reading result, we're in a great position LOSE = Depends if WH can win but it's squeeky bum time (again)
  2. haha maybe not
  3. ffs WH will win this now
  4. Am I right in saying that if west ham drop points, we then only need 2 wins to go up?
  5. and breathe....
  6. See my last post...
  7. We're playing poor again, can't see us winning (or scoring)
  8. Davis. Butterfield, Fonte, Hooiveld, Fox. Chaplow, Cork, Hammond©, Lallana. Sharp, Lambert
  9. Why is everyone getting so worked up about heavy rain on the pitch? All we seem to do recently is hoof the ball long so it won't make a difference
  10. We won't get promoted
  11. e would be a great signing. Proven at Prem, Champ & International level. Especially good at Championship level. Better than most of what we've got already
  12. It' ll be tough today, although they have nothing to play for, they will still put up a fight. I'd go with: ---------------KD--------------- FR----JF------------JH-------DF SDR------DH--------JC-------AL ---------BS--------RL---------- Palace play wide football, with attacking fullbacks and wingers, the Diamond just wouldn't work today, it would leave our fullbacks too exposed. Butterfield could play instead of Richardson and De Ridder was awful v Palace earlier this season. My prediction: 1-1
  13. Exactly, Poor defending (again) cost us
  14. I saw it, but nothing will be done about it
  15. Having just seen the highlights, I'm even more ****ed off at the shambolic defending for the 2 goals.
  16. I was sat in the Chappel and I totally agree. We were brilliant UNTIL Pompey equalised (1st time) then it was silent until half time. I could hear the Pompey fans more than I could the Saints fans. Is it a coincidence that up until Pompey scored and the crowd was loud, we were the better team, but in the 2nd half and the crowd was mostly silent, we didn't play to well?
  17. Well, what did we learn? 1) We can't defend. Take nothing away from the 2 shots that Pompey scored from, they were decent strikes, but BOTH were poorly defended. Richardson/Guly were at fault for not marking and tracking opponents for the first. And whoever didn't mark Norris. That's 5 poor goals we've conceded in a week. 2) We can't have 2 luxury players. Either Lallana, or Guly, not both. I'm not getting into the Guly argument 3) For those of us that talk about West Ham hoofing the ball all the time, it's all we seem to do. What happened to our slick passing football of the early season. Only saw it in glimpses over past few weeks. Most of the time it's just hoofing. 4) Our fans went deadly silent after their first equaliser, and stayed quite until HT. 5) I think we will struggle to hold onto the automatic promotion places. With Morgan's nasty looking injury, and the psychological blow of not holding on to a win after the Blackpool result. Also, I'd like to say, fair play to Portsmouth and Appleton, they defended well, and played well. I've certainly seen a lot worse teams this season. Appleton clearly is a good coach, but isn't helped by their embarrassing off-field situation. And...why did we not bring on Martin instead of Harding? Surely NA knew they'd be pumping balls into our box, Martin would have been a better choice to deal with them than Harding, who didn't really have a position
  18. It was a dive, an no need for it. As much as I like Lallana, that was embarrassing
  19. For those blaming us not winning on them is pathetic. The 4th Official had already put "4" into his board BEFORE we scored, so 4 minutes would have been added on whatever happened. I'm not saying it was right for them to go on the pitch, because it wasn't, but the reason we didn't win was because we couldn't defend, simple as. Also, to the older, grey-haired "man" who was sat in Block 17, row B, right on the end nearest to Block 18, who decided to grab a 13 year old (who had nothing to do with anyone running on the pitch) around the throat and call him a "F*cking C*nt" and who threw coffee over me when I tried to remove his hand from around the child's throat - you are a disgrace, I hope you're proud of yourself
  20. not that I know of
  21. That's stepped up the pressure massively on tomorrow's game, although it's probably a good thing after last week us knowing that WH had slipped up
  22. If you get there early you will get a space in pub car park. If that's full, there is a very wide pavement area the other side of the railway crossing where everyone else parks. Depending on which way you are going after the match, you may be stuck with waiting for the trains to pass through
  23. I normally go in the Old Farmhouse pre-match and walk along Radcliffe Road, over Northam Road then down Britannia Road. Will I have to change my route tomorrow?
  24. I've noticed that when he takes free kicks around the half way line that get delivered into, or around, the opposing penalty area, he seems to float the crosses, rather that put his foot through it. I know taking a corner and a free kick on the halfway line are different, but NA could see this as the reason why he's not taking them. Perhaps we'd be better having Fox take corners from both sides? and maybe it's because Richardson is quite fast and NA prefers him to stay back when we have a corner, in case the opposition break?
