  1. so let me get this right, your definition of a Local Derby isn't about geographical distance, more size of the teams? So in Glasgow, Celtic v Queen's Park/Partick Thistle aren't local derbies?
  2. Bad omen me. Only seen Saints win once since Peterborough (doncaster). Since Peterborough game, I've been to 7 game: 1 Win, 3 defeats and 3 draws. However, at the start of the season, I went to 6 games: 5 wins and 1 draw
  3. I know that feeling. I went to school in Reading and my last year at school was the year that they walked the Championship. After we returned from xmas break, everyone had ditched Chelsea/Spurs/Man U/Liverpool and was suddenly a Reading fan. They soon went crawling back into the woodwork. A couple of Reading fans I know told me that they are going to sign Lallana in the summer for £4m. I just patted them on the shoulder and asked what time their carer was coming to help look after them.
  4. They really aren't in the same region. Different County, Area Code, Post Code and 50 miles away. It's pathetic anyone who thinks this is any sort of local derby. Next you'll be telling us that the Peterborough and Coventry games are Local derbies as we are all south of Manchester
  5. Peterborough are a better team than Forest
  6. Reading seem confident, they are on a good run of form and most of their fans remember "dicking" us at their place, which they did until Hammond got sent off. They also seem to think that if they stop Lambert from scoring, they've won, but they are forgetting Lallana who didn't play at Mad Stad
  7. He's perfectly entitled to his opinion, and he gave it. Liverpool fans need to wake up and realise that not everyone will have the same opinion as them so they need to get on with it
  8. Peterborough/Leicester/Coventry are similar sized clubs to Forest and are all within a short travelling distance
  9. well said that man!
  10. This year, the came v Derby County, but using your logic, the game v Notts County wouldn't be classed as a Local Derby, but one against Leicetser/Coventry/Peterborough would be?
  11. you said local derby and within an hours drive. so you're now saying that even if you have another club on your doorstep that aren't as big as you, it's not a local derby?
  12. Would you class Reading v AFC Wimbledon a local derby?
  13. It's not a local derby for the two clubs, I can think of at least 5 clubs which are closer to Reading than we are
  14. It really isn't a local derby. It's a rivalry game because we are both top of the league, it's not local at all. I live close by to Reading, and went to school there, I can assure you that it isn't a local derby at all
  15. Put it this way, if someone openly criticised you and/or your business in public and then turned up at your house, you wouldn't let them in would you
  16. Tbh, I think Reading beating Brighton on Tuesday (no matte how unconvincing) has actually done us a favour. hear me out on this one... If Reading had dropped points (drawn or lost) then they would have been at least 2 points behind us, which would have removed some of the stress and pressure on us (both fans and players). however, as they won, we now know that this game is massive, and we shouldn't get complacent (ie Blackpool) and should perform better. I do think, however, that even if we win, the title race isn't over, as I can easily see them winning their remaining 3 games
  17. According to Google maps, it takes 1 hour and 4 minutes to drive between the 2 stadiums. Case closed, not a local derby at all
  18. It's a rivalry game, NOT a derby. There is a MASSIVE difference.
  19. No, it really ISN'T a local derby. There are just short of 50 miles between the 2 stadiums, no way is it a local derby
  20. only odd seats available in blocks 11,13+14 left.
  21. This is the biggest game we've played since Sheff Utd a few years ago. Can we win, if we play like we can, yes. Anything below par and we'll get beat. They are on a right roll. However, I think if we win, the league title may not be over, but if they win, it will be.
  22. However, I do still expect Reading to win. Anything less than is a massive bonus for us.
  23. Karacan is deffo out, broken ankle - out for season If Tabb is still not fit, that leaves them with Legiertwood (sp) and Robson-Kanu (who ISN'T a kid as someone has previously said) They are both very good central midfielders, would be like us having to play Cork and Chaplow in midfield
