The contract stated that if we bid the agreed fee for TA it would be accepted, not that we would automatically sign him. The contract has ended. It's also key to remember we've heard a very small part of one side of the story.

How are AM not entitled to the money?? He's their player who they can sell for as much/little as they feel to. Nobody is also saying there is a legal gripe or issue with Spurs. It's quite clear who the parties are in this. I also fail to see how we will get shafted by taking a matter to court where we feel there is a breach of contract. We must be fairly confident of a win otherwise we wouldn't be considering it.
  3. Certainly is. Not 100% convinced by him though I don't feel anywhere near as confident as when Shaw was playing. Might be something to do with the fact he looks like a 13 year old adolescent.
  4. Unlucky, or lacking skill. Would a truly decent striker have scored some of those chances? Yes they would have. Luck can only go so far.
  5. This is SA to a tea. Trolls Twitter looking for an obscure link, races here to post it. Sometimes passing stuff off as his own e.g. This mornings tweet about the "North London Yobbos". Sad really. Anyway, don't really know much about the player. I've had the obligatory FM stalk and he looks ok. Can't imagine he's anything more than a squad player adding depth rather than a TA/NC replacement.
  6. 6'4 and he can't jump.
  7. What flick on's. GP is useless in the air
  8. yes to both. still not convinced by him. He's easily replaceable.
  9. Maximum contract for a player can only be 5 years.
  10. If he was then why is he going to Stoke?
  11. We've already told the player how much we value him at and that if a sufficient bid is made it'll be accepted.
  12. He's failed at pretty much everywhere he's gone. Bound to be on big wages. No thanks.
  13. You've hit the nail on the head. He isn't a journalist, he's a reporter. Too many people nowadays think that surfing the Internet/twitter trying to find a news story from a relatively unknown but decent source (ie some of the posters on here/foreign newspapers) and claiming to be journalists. Also, what self-respecting professional will: 1) produce an article and not have any control over the headline. Surely this is the most inportant part as this is what people will use to decide whether or not to read the article. 2) allow an article to be published in his name if he hasn't produced it? 3) allows themselves to effectively become the Daily Star's (or any other newspaper for that matter) ***** by writing an article for a fee and then having nothing to do with how it's published. Amateurish. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The standard of journalism in the country is declining rapidly.
  14. Turnbull, McCarthy, Debayo, Reed (I think), McQueen, Isgrove, Gallagher, Wood.
  15. The standard of our journalism in the UK is nothing short of embarrassing. The problem is half of Twitter thinks they are journalists and think they've made it after having a small paragraph printed in these comics.
  16. Clyne was unproven at PL level. 4 years was probably excessive. I've always been a fan of 3 years with the club having the right to extend that to 5 at anytime with the first 2 seasons. Would help a lot, especially with some of the aforementioned names
  17. As stated by View From The Top - his interviews have been about wanting to play CL football - he's been honest and loyal to the club. I'm sure if you asked most players at mid-table sides if they would leave for a CL club they'd say yes. Let's compare his actions to the other Saints player who'll be leaving this summer and then try and tell me he's been acting like Lallana
  18. One point blank refused to play for the club after lying to the fans. One has been open about a move, has got his head down and tried to get this club into the CL so he didn't have to move. He's even offered to start training tomorrow.
  19. The actions of the two are about as polar opposite as you can get.
  20. That midfield would get torn to shreds.
  21. Deals can be agreed at anytime. They just don't become official until 1st July
  22. United have already told Saints that if they miss out on Schweinsteiger then MS will be their number 1 target
  23. It was a sticking point last week - we only wanted a loan but Fulham wanted a permanent deal. unsure at the moment which side got what they wanted.
  24. Completely agree - done well everywhere else he's played.
  25. Should be a Saints player before the weekend
