FC Midtjylland 1 Saints 0 - Post Match reaction
supersonic replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Nothing short of ****ing embarrassing. RK, the board and several of the players have some serious questions to answer. Over £110m generated from player sales in past 2 seasons and we can't score a goal in open play against a Danish side over 2 games (4 straight games). Koeman is being found out, the board are being found out as are some of our players. Targett is embarrassingly ****, Long too. Jrod is a shadow of the player he is. Pelle, 6 foot ****ing 4 and built like a **** house and £40k a week, can't head a ****ing football! If one of Wanyama/mane get sold we are ****ed. -
did think it reminds us of 2003.

well unless we're not signing him until January then of course we can! -
waited an extra hour for that. Oh well, shouldn't be too hard getting a ticket

Perhaps Victor wants to leave after hearing the Northam's embarrassing attempt to sing his new song on Thursday?

lol can you get a minus rating on FIFA?

Draw a fair result. We offered pretty much nothing going forward, they should have scored twice. How their player headed it over from 2 yards is beyond me. I notice both Wanyama and Targett forgot to mark their players on that corner. The sooner Wanayama gets his head straight and Bertrand is back the better.

I've said on more than one occasion he is our weak point. He sticks out like a sore thumb. -

If you think getting nowhere near their winger and getting beat by him every time is no being given the run around then I'm glad you aren't the manager. -

really isn't. Layun/Diamanti will have a field day tomorrow too. -

He really isn't. Bottled challenges, given the ****ing run around all night, positional sense is that of an 11 year old and offers nothing going forward - his first thought is always backwards. There was a point in the first half where Sisto went past Targett with so much ease he may as well have not been there, reminded me of a certain Gregory Vignal. -

Thought I'd wait until the morning to gather a bit more rational thoughts before posting. Looked a lot worse first half than second. Their keeper made a few blinding saves, the one from Caulker's header was world class. Couple of thoughts, the shape just didn't work, midfield looked fairly solid: Wanyama and Romeu look like they could form a decent partnership and JWP played ok. Didn't give Targett enough help for my liking. Talking of Targett, it's now very apparent why Luke Shaw was picked above him, he isn't good enough for this level at the moment. Could do with a loan move. Never got anywhere near Sisto (who was brilliant and would certainly help us!) for the whole game. He seems to have developed Danny Fox and Gregory Vignal's fear of going within 10 yards of the winger. The way Sisto went past him a few times was embarrassing. Jrod looks a tad over-weight to me. Certainly disagree with his comments pre-season about being quicker, he's lost a lot of speed. Appreciate he's still on the comeback. I'd have only given him a one-year extension rather than a 5 year deal personally. Pelle looked ok, still poor in the air for someone his size, he just doesn't have the mentality to win 15-20 headers a game, unlike Lambert. I'd like to see more of Juanmi, he's looked decent in the games I've seen him. Caulker looked solid defensively, think if we get VVD on board and Bertrand back we'll keep a fair number of clean sheets. Still fancy us to do it in Denmark. Hopefully we can smuggle Sisto back with us. -
Joinin Derby on loan. Good move for both sides

Utterly Sh1te. We have not looked that vulnerable at the back since the days of Jermaine Wright, Lloyd James, Darren Powell, Joseph Mills and Olly Lancashire! Full backs simply aren't good enough. As many have already said, the two in midfield just doesn't work. Needed to play Romeu or JWP from the start and drop Tadic/Long. Many trying to be optimistic by saying we were in the same position last year, which we were, but on today's showing we could be in for a long year if Wanyama get's injured.

16 conceded in last 8 league games.
-
Seems as if we've paid £5m for the Portugese Jermaine Wright.
-
Too many passengers. Both full backs, Davis and Long.
-
Targett making a case for worst Saints performance in past 10 years. Liability.

His goals/games ratio is almost twice as good as Juanmi's. Therefore it's complete fair to say that Joselu is more prolific than Juanmi. That's fair enough that it's your opinion, although it does give off the impression that Saints have done it better because, well it's Saints. It's the same opinion which seems to be shared amongst our fan base when it comes to the England team. Player X should be starting because he plays for Saints. Not everything the club does makes them better than anyone else. My opinion is that we'll do well in Europe, but it'll have an effect on our league form. We pretty much matched Spurs and Liverpool last season, but this year I think we'll be in a mini league with Swansea, Stoke, Everton, Palace and Newcastle. I also think it's unfair to knock Palace for their transfer dealings, they've done well in recent years, most of their key players were picked up for less than what they are worth now (Puncheon, Speroni, Bolasie, Gayle etc). The latter they have received a bid of £8m for. Then you look at Zaha, they sold him to United for £10m and bough him back for £6m two years later. Effectively United paid £4m to have him on loan for 2 years. That's pretty good transfer dealings in my yes. You seem pretty rattled by Stoke signing XS and was made clear on twitter beforehand. Was your MO to promoted Saints' transfer dealings? Or simply have a rant about other clubs signing players? Perhaps, as you've said, you should sleep on the idea and then write in the morning. However I am aware of time restraints for articles. It may also be worth double-checking stats before making remarks, it reflects badly on the journalist. Overall, interesting article and there are areas of agreement and I do appreciate your comments.
