We knew about Wanyama and Pelle anyway. Both are good players on their day but can easily be upgraded for the money we'd get for them.

I doubt it, Stam is due for an interview over the Reading job tomorrow

Marian Pahars?

Wigan got relegated and he nearly relegated Everton. Good cup manager but there are a lot better available than him.
-
Not Howe, didn't do much at Burnley. I think he's suited to AFCB and would struggle at a club our size. Emery or FDB please.
-
Thankfully VVD and FF signed new long-term deals recently. I can see him coming in for Shane Long which will be a real shame.

off to Reading

Radio reporting we've offered £2.5m a year and Everton have offered £6m!

Is a DoF likely to say anything other than what he did? -
I think the dwindling number of supporters has a lot to do with the f-ing ridiculous kick off times we now have. I remember going to a few games at 3pm on a Saturday which also gave people outside London the chance to go up and make a day of it. Now it's all mid-week or in the evening meaning you have to book time off work and/or a hotel.

They won't win if he's in the team.
-
Questions then: 1) Who else would you take? Shelvey? Noble? A.N. Other? - No thanks! 2) If Bale had been injured most of the season but then was fit for the Euro's, do you think he'd go? you take your best players to a tournament.
-
Lambert, Rodriguez, Clyne, Lallana, Bertrand would never have got a call up under SGE. Fact. Wilshere is, when fit, one of the most talented players we have.

The attitude of some of the Saints fans on here is embarrassing. Getting all *****y because RH hasn't picked a Saints player. all this BS of "I hope we lose because I don't like RH or he's not picking Saints players" - have a f*cking word with yourself. Your country, like your club, is for life. You support them through thick and thin. I don't recall anyone turning up at St. Mary's going "I hope we lose today because the manager hasn't picked X" so why do it for the national team? A few have very short memories, under SGE or McLaren, a Saints player would have got nowhere near the England team, regardless of how well they played that season. Give RH his due, he's picked players on form rather than reputation. At the end of the day, RH has to pick a team from a squad of 23. We have 3 friendly matches and all players will get their chance, I wouldn't be surprised to see FF and RB play on Friday. I'd also be willing to bet that those of the "**** England I hope we lose" brigade will be the first to celebrate if we win.

Not a surprise at all. I think he's being found out as not all what people make him out to be. He lost the support of the fanbase at Sheff Utd long time ago due to his tactics and substitutions. Regardless of how good their squad is, they've spent big money and should have at least made the play-offs. Lets be realistic about him. - Did well at Scunny - Inherited the best side ever assembled in the history of the 3rd tier when he came to Saints and achieved the bare minimum needed - Did well to get us out of the Championship. Yes we had a good side but we still needed to do the job. - Shakey start to PL life, started to pick up when (righly) replaced my MP (right decision, wrong way to do it) - Went to Reading almost took them down 2 leagues, talking to RFC fans, they're still struggling to make up for his management. - Took Sheff Utd job, and failed. Nice guy, good man manager. Tactically inept and transfers are bemusing. He'll get another job in L1 (seen he's been linked to Northampton) his next move is crucial for his career.

Who cares?

I think it was, the young lad that scored it looked pretty tidy, decent finish. Not convinced SM has enough to do it at PL level but would love to be proven wrong.
-
getting sacked in the morning..... pleased for Sam McQueen and Southend, better team won on the night.
-
This is my point, if they did it en masse, it would massively improve the atmosphere.
-
I'd also argue that had we stuck with Pardew the whole season we would have also won the league
-
I still can't work out why the "hardcore" in the Northam don't go and create a "kop" in the Chapel, would massively benefit the team in the second half of games and would stop all the winging when a relatively big away support comes for the FA Cup. I guess most of them are more interested in giving it large to the away fans than supporting the team.

it's more 8/10 for accuracy. He inherited the best squad the third division has ever seen and still failed to win the league. He just isn't as good as people make out, as is being made obvious now.
