So we have no fit strikers and no competent defenders. Another ****-poor transfer window by the club
-
The fact Ralph seems to think he's good enough to pick him every weeks is bemusing. Must look like Maldini in training...
-
1 clean sheet in 15 games. And to think we let two first-team defenders leave in Jan without replacing them as the board felt we were strong enough and already safe. It's so bad it's almost laughable.
-
They'll get enough points that GD won't matter...
-
Because he jumps around people think he's the next messiah. He's better than Hughes, but my god he makes some absymal decisions.
-
Shocking team selection and shocking defending again. Everytime we have a long break, we play abysmally. Just highlights what an absurd transfer window we just had and a monumental screw up by the board. Ralph ain't anywhere near as good as people make out he is. Yes, the squad is poor, but his decision making is questionable to say the least.
-
No strikers? It gets worse...
-
2-1 Palace. Looking like a two-team shoot out between us and Cardiff. It's still remarkable there are those at the club, and within the fan base, who only 2 weeks ago were already talking and acting like we were safe.
-
yep, Newcastle playing well. Don't worry though, we're going to be great next year and we aren't in a relegation battle...
-
you mean the same McCarthy who just stood there and made no effort when facing penalties against Brighton and Burnley?
-
Why this didn't happen in the summer I don't know. I appreciate for players like Davis the move made sense, he gets to go somewhere he wants and play and we no longer needed him. But for some of the players (Cedric/Gabbi etc) they could still do a job, just make them a promise that if they knuckle down until the end of the season we will actively look to sell them. Can't remember many other teams wanting to "cut down" mid-season. Could have been worse, we could have been left without Austin and McCarthy by all accounts.

We keep giving away points to our rivals, keep conceding goals and look devoid of any confidence. There's far more to football than stats, this isn't Moneyball...

We are only paying off one manager at present... -
are you actually suggesting these people need defending?

Another thing, I though the crowd were very, very poor again. No doubt someone will blame the position of the away fans for 95% of our fans sitting there in silence for 90 minutes. -
I'm more worried about our goalkeeper's inability to keep the ball out of the net...
-
I must say, it's this pompous arrogance that the club seem to have which is exactly why we are where we are. We keep gifting points to those around us, can't win for **** at home, Shane Long is our striker and we've kept one clean sheet in our last 15 games yet you're almost certain we're staying up. Deluded if you ask me.
-
I've got a tenner on us at 9/1. Will happily donate some of it to charity if we go down. There are 3 worse teams than us in the league, but there aren't 3 worse performing teams than ourselves and all the signs are there.
-
Che Adams scored a hattrick today. No biggie as we've got Shane Long though

100% this. -
If he never plays for us again it'll be too soon.
-
5 at the back with Long up front on his own at home to Cardiff. The fact he brings all 11 players back every time we concede a corner/free kick is bemusing to say the least...

Our home matches against teams in the bottom half this season: Burnley 0-0 Leicester 1-2 (after being 1-0 up) Brighton 2-2 (after being 2-0 up) Newcastle 0-0 West Ham 1-2 (after being 1-0 up) Palace 1-1 Cardiff 1-2 Bournemouth, Fulham and Huddersfield still left to play. Four points, no wins. To Compare against the same sides: Huddersfield - 5 points (1 win) Fulham - 13 points (4 wins) Cardiff - 14 points (4 wins) Burnley - 14 points (3 wins) Newcastle - 7 points (2 wins) Palace - 12 points (3 wins) Brighton - 8 points (2 wins) West Ham - 10 points (3 wins) Leicester - 5 points (1 win). We're going to have to do it all on the road. If you can't win your home matches, you don't deserve to stay up, which we won't.

most people on here think we'll be fine, talking as if we're already safe. Most people on here are utterly deluded.
-
Nowhere near as good as some people think he is. Poor first team selection (again) Poor subs (again) Poor game management (again) far too defensive (again)
