  1. Vincent Pericard once played for Juventus...
  2. Andy Robinson, currently on loan at Tranmere from Leeds, a goal-scoring midfielder, what we need imo
  3. Hayden Mullins to Saints in todays Sun. Would be a very good signing IMO
  4. Here. I'm going for 3-0.

  6. Unless I'm very much mistaken, our first season in the championship (when Harry Kidnapp and Theo were with us) we played Wolves at home on the opening day and drew 0-0. This was an early kick-off (about 12noon-ish, the other fixtures started at 3pm) then we were top of the league for about 2 hours or so. Happy to Help.
  7. if we beat rovers on tuesday then we're 5 points off the play-offs with 5 to play, and a game in hand, win that and we could be only 2 points away from the play offs with 3/4 games to play. theoretically we could enter the play offs against oldham, but i'd take us making it against southend.
  8. lol yeah forgot about them!

Ben Reeves Ryan Dickson ----------------------------------------------- After reading an article on the echo website a few days ago about Pardew looking to build a squad in the summer which would be able to get promoted out of the Championship, it got me wondering who everyone realistically thinks we should aim to sign. At the moment my brain has gone for a walk but one which springs to mind is Gylfi Sigurdsson, a young Icelandic central-midfielder currently playing for Reading. Box-to-box and can take a decent set-piece. Has also chipped in with 11 goals so far this season.
  10. I really don't understand why people are asking for AP to be axed, these people know nothing about football he's just lead us to our first piece of silverware in many years and we're still in with a shout of making the playoffs despite starting the season on -10points. plus we're currently unbeated in 4 games, which includes 3 wins and have a home game which we should win and carry on the momentum
  11. I swear I read somewhere that Wembley has been built and designed so that wherever you sit you are under a roof. but then again if there's a swirling wind...
  12. yeah same. I ordered 2 tickets from ST on the first day - not arrived. then a few days later ordered a separate ticket and that arrived on monday
  13. They got beat 4-0 at home by Bristol Rovers last week
  14. This is one of our games in hand is it not? As this is the re-arranged fixture from January
  15. Brian Howard
  16. Lee Barnard, Barnard He's blonde and he's f**king hard He's better than Pericard Lee Barnard, Barnard
  17. That's the team I'd go with. Personally, I think Papa looks like our most exciting forward player, he looked it against MKDons and when he came on against Wycombe he looked alot better than Barnard did in that game.
  18. also, can we make this thread a Sticky please Mods?
  19. Haven't seen one of these yet so here we go... Hopefully back to winning ways against the Poles, anyone know if there's any news on Morgan? We should be able to beat them, but we need to improve on our abismal performance on tuesday night. I haven't seen much of them this season, but know they have a pretty decent striker in Troy Deeney but have a clown in goal, who we should bombard with crosses and shots
  20. Although Hammond completely fooked it up and ended up being a pass back to their keeper. Complete waste of time in my opinion. If you're going to hoof it long, at least pass it back to one of the full backs, thus allowing our attackers to get up to the end of the pitch.
  21. That was ****ing abismal. I paid all that money, took the afternoon off work nad got home at 01.30 this morning to go and watch that ****e! really not happy. We had 1 half-chance in the whole game, all we seemed to do was punt the ball aimlessly long, in the hope someone might get on to it. Harding looks very very suspicious at left back. Got done everytime by their winger (who looked tidy, but nothing special) and seems to be more interested in moaning at officials than concentrating on the game. A liability IMO.
  22. Grrr been trying to phone the ticket office now for an hour and 15 mins constant, I have 2 phones and a laptop trying to book tickets, no luck so far
  23. I know we had our first choice defenders out but that doesn't change the fact that he was 5 yards away from Quincy-Awusu when he got the ball, and just backed-off instead of puttign a challenge in. if you challenge and 1) win the ball, then we've got the ball inside the final 3rd and have a chance of scoring. 2) commit a foul, it gives our players time to get back and re-group whilst they take the free-kick. Backing-off and lettign their bloke run 70yards unchallenged puts us under pressure, which showed.
  24. I'm sorry people but Wayne Thomas lost us the game today. For their second goal when Owusu-Abeyie picked up the ball 30 yards from there goal, he allowed him to run all the way to the edge of our box without challenging him. He just kept backing-off and backing-off. How many times last year did we get punished for that? once it became 2-1 we were always going to be left open for the break whilst we were pushing for the equaliser.
