To the song by Vera Lyn of we'll meet again We'll never meet again Dont no how Dont no when.....

Sadly I do not think it will be empty seats that will be their answer on the best form of protest as they are ALREADY insolvent and will be wound up before the game. Bye bye Pompey and a Bye for us, will be their FA Cup epitaph

Just a thought to Fitzhugh. Given all the material on here in this absolute farce that is the demise of the once proud Poopey, would he consider turning it into a book?. It would have a market in both cities. In the red half a comedy that beggars credibilty. In the Blue half the LAST book ever written about the Club. Mind you you might need to change the name of your publising company from Hagiology to Poopery. What do you think?

Re Henry V at Agincourt ... "England, Harry and St George"

Back from the game. First half we looked threatening every time we broke and two nil up would have been a fair reflection. They only had one shot on target first half. Second half totally different story as they realised that they could play in our half and ignore our non-existing midfield and they hastled our defenders to hoof.In short they stopped us playing and pushed both full backs further up in support. Tactically we did not adapt to this. LLalana should have been substituted as he was outmusled and Barnard was playing well. Woooton was awful and Davies was brilliant. Not for thye first time have we been outmuscled and outrun. They were not a bad side so a draw was a fair result. No disgrace but disappointing as we had the chances to have won.

Wow Poopey at home. They will not like that at all.however we have gor to beat MK Dons first so that we already have trip to Wembley and psychologically we want to play them full of confidence. Despite Premier v League 1 I think we will be favourites as we we will be their faces and I predict a two -one victory ... as last time in the FA Cup.Incidentally have we ever lost to them in the CUP?

Surely the situation on their hardcore support is far worse. How many of that 10,000 gate were Sunderland fans ? 2000?

HMRC take businesses to court. However emotional it may be supporting a football club they (PFC) will be treated no differently. The directors of PFC are scared they will be barred from holding future office but clearly all of them are incompetent and should resign. They will not and unfortunately Pompey will be liquidated as entering Administartion with no assets and massive debts is still unattractive to any sane business person. I too know decent people who support other teams including PFC and also staff who worked for Woolworths who still cannot find work. For PFC will rise again in some shape or form but when we have a massive culture of greed the chasm of disconnect between the fan and those that "run" clubs will grow wilder

My ticket for the Brentford game did not arrive and was told by the Ticket Office that Brentford did not issue duplicates or copies. Anyhow phoned Brentford and they said that provided the Saints ticket office requested officially then they WOULD issue a duplicate. Phoned Saints ticket office again and relaid this information. They very promptly phoned Brentford and confirmed that a duplicate could be issued. So if any one else has fell victim to our postal service, phone the Saints ticket office and let them know .

He also made both goals for them against us at Colchester with intelligent inside the defender passes.

Also because at the end of this month he will probably not get paid at all!!

When Antonio came on looked threatening but why oh why didnt Connelly come on and Waigo with 30 seconds left. Tactically we got that all wrong. Went out not to loose rather than to win

With JPT on Wednesday and most new players cup tied except Fonte I think as all three new signings will start as Pardew will have to play either Thomas or Perry. We know he prefers Perry but will not play him two games in a week

Go to the Riiks museum and see Rembrandt's Night Watch. Van Gogh museum if you love that artist. Please bear in mind he painted only for ten years 5 of which were in Flanders and his colours earthen. The bright colurs were from his time in France. Of the 850 paintings he did in his lifetime only sold 1 !! The Red Light district you have probably discovered. Vondel Park (aptly named) allows public lovemaking !! Bit cold this time of year. Flower market at Aalkmar and Diamond cutting is worth a visit. Amstel brewey good fun too Hope that helps

Unquestionably December 38th as they will argue they can use an Arab calendar to HMRC

The London Gazette has an online section and I searched and could not find the winding up order. Surely if there is on it could be found? If not Pompey could be right. Anyone else done a search and found proof positive : http://www.gazettes-online.co.uk

Just back from the game too. Tempo much better 2nd half because we started to move the ball to feet rather than air. Sides in this division ,like Colchester are organised and strong and intimadating but looked vulnerable when we ran at them and gained space off their markers. Connelly gave himself that extra yard by turning defenders and coming for the ball. He is an experienced pro and the likes of Sneiderlin, Llanna and Antonio are still learning and guile is need against such sides as we wont compete for brawn in midfield. Still it was not a bad performance and a draw would have been a fair result. We have room for improvement as the youngsters gain experience and we bring in another winger, a holding midfielder, right back and sweeper type defender. Colchester will probably not improve while we have far more scope for getting considerable better. At the end of the day this was a bad result not a totally bad performance.

I think it was Leicester away and Saints were winning 1-0 due to totally waterlogged pitch

QUOTE=Goalie66;504046]No we won 3-2. I was there too. Davies 2 Channon I think.

My first away game was at Swindon in October 1963.Swindon were undeafted at home and took an early lead. Chivers equalised and Paine got the winner. I remember running around the ground with my rattle frantically rotating in joyous celebration. The home fans just smiled at us!!

Some years ago played golf with Duncan Mckensie of Everton, Leeds and car leaping fame. Now makes his money as an after dinner speaker.Told me that John Mcgrath was truly feared by fellow pros.Apparently against Man U Best was running rings around John ands John took him out in no uncertain fashion.Next time Mcgrath got near Best. Best waited jinked past him and then picked the ball up and gave it to him. The whole crowd were in hysterics. Wouldn't happen now.
