Really enjoyed last nights game and beforehand I was concerned that without Pelle we would use Rodrigues as a replacement "target man". Instead we played to feet alnd the midfield had loads of options as the front movement was excellent. With Pelle our intentions tend to be telegraphed to the opposition. Last night we had ran at defenders through the middle and the wings.

This puts a very big question mark on Koemans managership

Some of us have actually played in goal at a high level.!!! Leicester Saint. I was at the game yesterday and Forster is flat footed and does not read the game well that is why he is slow off his line.In my view he was at fault for their goal and second half he should have dived on the ball when Fonte was trying to turn and clear. Notwithstanding those comments he did make some great saves second half. I feel that the defense has shielded Forster this season and his faults are very fundamental for a keeper. He is big but I get the impression he is somewhat timid. He is not a great communicator either. He is not talking to his defense and shouting for the ball when needed. Good keepers like Smeichal (father) Shilton are vocal but read the game well.They get in position early to AVOID making saves or make the saves look easy.The make the goal big and intimidate forwards. Will Forster reach those standards. I doubt it

As someone who has had 14 knee operations including knee replacements I can confirm that you don't suddenly need an "Op". In any event once you have had a knee replacement you will be advised NOT to run let alone kick a ball so Redcrapp's management days are over on that basis. If they are at least he has left the game knowing that his final gesture was a "con" a cop out. Perhaps when they replace his knee the surgeon will use teflon instead of superglue. He can then become wobble to add to his twitchy.

I think some interesting points have been raised. For a big guy it is understandable that getting down to low shots will be harder .However, Hart is equally tall but gets down well to shots on the ground. I think that Forster is slow off his line and this is symptomatic of his confidence in reading a game. When I was at the Dell I often played centre forward. Like all goalies I was really a frustrated goalscorer!! However, it got me to appreciate and anticipate the game much better. I think that Frazer is a good keeper that needs to command more and be more assertive. Most goalies of his size are going to intimidate any forward. In this respect coming for a cross will put off the forward even if no or minimal contact is made. I am sure the coaches are working on this. Well I hope they are !!!

Agreed If we keep on winning there is NO reason why we cannot overtake City. It is improbable but our expectations have shifted for some from relegation to top 8 to top six to Europa League to Champions League. The logical next step is believing that second or FIRST is not beyond us. Unlikely, but if you go for fourth you win nothing but if you go to win every game( which is what we are doing) why not ? I am sure that Koeman, inwardly is thinking totally different to most of on here. His focus is probably can we catch Chelsea and Man City with the way we are playing. So far they are the only two better sides than us in the Premier League. We demonstrated against Chelsea that we are a match for them. We demonstrated against Arsenal and Man U that we are BETTER than them. Our defence has been amazingly consistent but lets not forget that we are also the fourth highest scorers too with goals from all the team. 4th will be a disappointment. Actual Fosters kicking is good. On a bobbly pitch on Wednesday his kicking was excellent. Have you noticed he can kick with either foot by the way. If however, Foster were to get injured I am sure we would recall Boruc who I still rate. Davis is there for a game time injury not permanent cover.
