Unfortunately it does not demonstrate that those initiating the chants are blessed with high IQ's
-
Yes if it gives the opposition the impression they have a large vocal support!!!

The official site have announced we have ALREADY sold our full allocation for the Plymouth game. I assume most were sold before it was rearranged. I believe our allocation was 2100 (corrected after Le God Legend). Now given the fact that Plymouth are in administration and need every penny and that there is a VERY good chance that we could clinch promotion at Plymouth I am amazed that we have not demanded more seats. All I can see is 8000 Saints fans wanting to go and overwhelming the Home ends if tickets are availaible at the gate. Can anything be done?

Both Le God Third Coming and I did laugh when the Northam burst into a refrain of "Come on you Reds" last night. Fortunately there were so few Charlton fans to applaud our "defection" Why have they not adpoted "Come on you Stripe" or are those congregated just unable to change chants irrespective of our kit. That said our support was great again last night all around the ground.

All three goals on Saturday were from open play and all were left footed strikes. Cannot remember the last time that happened. Anybody know?

We were 2-o against Fulham in the Prem and won 4-2. On TV too. Beattie got a hatrick I think

In order: Saints 3-3 against Nott Forest after being three nil down with fifteen minutes to go. 1963 Saints 5-0 in replay against Forest at WHL 1963. Incredible night Saints 9-3 against Wolves Sept 1965 after being 2-1 down Pompey 2- Saints 5 Feb 1966 Dean scored hatrick Clelsea 2- Saints 6 August 1967. Davies at his supreme but Osgood scored wonder goal for Chelsea too and more recently...last years's 5-0 against Huddersfield was a good game for Leahue 3

Rumour has it Saints are in big trouble!

This post has been released two days too soon, surely!!! -
Chaplow was all at sea again last night. He was neither winning the ball, initiating moves or running into spaces. He was so poor that we effectively played with ten men. I hope Sneiderlin is fit because I believe Chaplow is ONE of the reasons we are playing poorly and never getting out of second gear.

No Ifs, No Buts, We Have To Win Tomorrow To Go 2nd!!!
Goalie66 replied to dannysfc's topic in The Saints
Well I have been to see Saints at Charlton twice before.. Back in 1964 and we won 5-2 and 1977 when won 3-1. I am going tomorrow so fear not. We will win -
I having serious doubts about Chaplow. He gets lost in too many games and his passing yesterday was very poor. His strength is running into spaces created by others. His weakness is lack of vision and the inability to get the ball accurately out wide. Hammond is having to perform both creator and holding midfielder. Do you agree?

I wonder what odds we will get on a 3-1 victory at Rochdale. So far we have beaten ALL of the promoted sides away 3-1. Notts County 3-1 Dagenham and Redbridge 3-1 Bompey 3-1

No you probably don't do you. Does it matter in what profession you are in unless you happen to be a professional sportsmen whose career could end as a result as such an injury !!!

I must admit that I am getting tired of the same old cliches "All about winning a game of football" "smiles on their faces" "lot of positives" that gets regurgitated like some reflex action to a microphone under his nose. I feel he is becoming totally predictable with substitutions and the fear of failure is wafting more than the confidence of success. Still he will be judged on whether we get promoted. If yes he will stay . If no he will go.

Are you sure that you are not in two minds about those statistics?

I live in Woking and Le God Third Coming and I often go to games together as he lives up the road in Walton

I have two very simple rules that should be applied to any religious extremism. If you do not accept that the State has the right to govern by elected representatives, then live somewhere else. If you do not tolerate someone elses believes in this country , live somewhere else.

The Cortese Tax - OFT probe into firms 'profiting from plastic'

I made my protest at the beginning of the season by REFUSINg to buy a programme as this too costs £3 -
So there we have it KD should now be nicknamed "Dracula"

Ah remember that game well. Davies 4 and Chivers 2 but the best goal was scored by Osgood for them!!
-
Spot on post but I still think Davies should have gone for the second but we all know that he does not go for crosses which is the major weakness of his game
-
At the last home game someone commented on my Old Scarf. Just plain red and white stripes in nice warm wool. When I was a kid supporting Saints I took pleasure in painting my saints Rattle (wooden one) and taking it to every game. Will anyone else admit to owning and using a rattle at games and does anyone still wear an old shirt or other item treasured from the past?

I just looked at the highlights again and it was floated from the touchline ten yards in from our penalty area. I timed it at about 3.5 seconds. Enough time to come if a you are positioned correctly and are looking to intercept crosses. The ball landed just to the right of the centre of the goal about six yards out. Davies was routed to his line. It does not take 3 seconds to move six yards even allowing for judgement and decision making time.No I did no see the Chelsea game. In any event I am not judging Davies on one error but a constant inability to come for crosses that was highlighted yesterday "ol bean" !!
