You are not allowed to throw the ball straight to the net. If you do it results in a free kick for the opponent.

Two amazing goals..!!! -
A terrible result for us swedes, but i guess this time it was our time to be unlucky. However, ifnot former saint Mikael Nilsson done this terrrible piece of **** in our previous meeting with Denmark we still would have things in our own hands...

I can understand how you are thinking. It is always stressful to se our opponents strengthen their rosters(I have to take your word for it that they are though aside from Holt I am not familiar at all with any of those players). But we have to remember that AP has only been with the club for a week, and as new in the club he has to acknowledge what positions we must strengthen and which players on the market that might suit us. I am quite sure there will be some action(or even a lot of, hopefully) done the coming week. If not, THEN it is time to get worried...

It is too bad that my Hurricanes couldn´t score on Brodeur last night. He put up a fanstatic effort and showed why he is reckoned by many as the best goalie in the world. Now we have to win 2 in a row and that seem unlikely... :-(

I highly doubt that the founder of IKEA (a swedish man named Ingvar Kamprad) is interested. Even though he is one of the richest men in the world, he is known as to be very careful with his money. He has never ever (as I can remember) sponsored a sports event or shown the least interest in sports at all.

It is obvious that Anil Amdani don´t have any interest in buying our club. Just by looking at his tie I would guess todays opponent seems as a much better fit...

Maybe the funds is required to buy new calculators to the office. Until then we can´t figure out our financial situation...

Swedish football update
icehagman replied to david in sweden's topic in Overseas Saints / Supporters Groups
I think Elfsborg will be champions this year. No significant players have moved and as Kalmar is getting weaker Elfsborg should be favourites this year. Göteborg and perhaps Helsingborg might challenge. And do not count out my hometown team Örebro SK. We had a great run last autumn and the squad has been intact. A top five position should not be out of the question... -

McG would have hit the goalpost and on the counter attack Cardiff would have equalised. So all in all, we were lucky there... :-)

Two comebacks in the last two games. Seems like there is some fighting spirit in the squad at last. And thank god we got Saganowski back...

As I see it, we got one unexpected point this evening. It was a great comeback from behind, and it should boost the morale in the squad. Hopefully our coach draw some conclusions of why the team performed so much better in the second half than in the first. (Playing 2 forwards, playing experienced players and quite simply playing better players).

That is ecactly what I thought to. I can not remember reading that anywhere.

Today there is an interview in the biggest swedish newspaper Aftonbladet with "Killer" Svensson regarding his new appointment as assistant coach with the Saints. http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/fotboll/england/article4261853.ab A brief summary would be like: Michael Svensson has been trying to come back to football for 4 years. After being a regular member of the swedish national team in 2003, he injured his knee severely in spring 2004 and have never fully recovered. Some weeks ago he also tore his achilles tendon and it is doubtful he will ever be able to play football again. The passed weekend he received a proposal reagrding if he wanted to help out as an assistant coach, following manager Jan Poortvliet´s sudden resignment. "There weren´t much time to think about it really, but it was flattering. My contract here is due to expire this summer and with the situation we are in in the CCC there isn´t uch to hesitate about" Svensson says. Last autumn Svensson took a coach/trainer´s course, and he will now be in charge of the team´s defensive play, starting last weekend. "It felt strange, and it was damn cold - usually you run around to keep warm. But I think it went very well. We got a match coming tuesday so it is straight into action and we´ll try to build a good defense". Svensson finishes the article with saying that he hasn´t totally given up his comeback ambitions on the field. "I´ll try, but we´ll see what happens, and how it feels when I start going again"

Wish JP all the best in the future. A nice bloke with the right philosophy of how football should be played. It is too bad, however, that SFC of this season wasn´t the right place for that philosophy...

With the players we have at the moment, I don´t even think Jose Mourinho would get any results...

COYS!!! Let this be the turning point of the season... ;-)
