  1. Living in the Fareham area, my Mrs regularly buys the "News" (she likes the crossword *sigh*). One thing I will say is that the News is always very supportive of their club. On the rare occations I buy the Echo, it does seem to snipe and whinge about Saints. Shame really.
  2. Prsonally, I don't care where the away fans are - I like to concentrate of the football. For me, the biggest improvement to St. Mary's would be transforming the concources from cattle pens into something more like a pub. I'm sure this would pay for it's self as people would spend more time at the ground before the game. Either that or expending the "Dell Cafe" to something along the lines of the old social club.
  3. Agreed - if Stockport didn't take the measures we did in playing the youth team for a season, then they effectively avoided relegation by carrying on spending, and took the administration knowing that they would probably be in the same league if the worst did happen. By doing our best to avoid administration by playing the youth team, we took a double whammy of administration and relegation. Any points deduction should be applied at the point the club went into administration. I agreed with a wage cap as well, but I’m sure some clubs would find a way around it – by paying a salary and “gifting” money or assets (such as cars, houses etc) to players. I think it would be difficult to police this.
