  1. Or in other words you don't have any evidence to back-up your prejudiced argument and instead will hide behind "Oh, I laughed!"......
  2. You're spouting absolute rubbish! There has not been any violence carried out by the EDL, so you're lying in that statement. They are protesting against Islamic extremists, they make that perfectly clear, if you do not consider yourself an Islamic extremist you have no reason to be offended by them! They do not mention skin colour, but for some reason you are obssessed with doing so, as well as talking about violence
  3. As the title says, anyone know how many tickets have been sold for tomorrow's game?
  4. The VAST majority of those communities aren't as intergrated as other immigrant groups, which is one of the reasons there is a problem and not with other immigrant groups. Have you ever wondered why there aren't the same problems with the vast numbers of Hindus/Sikhs/Poles etc? Can you honestly tell me that the communities in Manningham/Aston/East Ham are well intergrated? The majority of muslim communities in this country are from the indian sub-continent, if it helps you at all I can refer to them in that detail! Take this forum as an example. Saints fans are not exactly known as a bunch of racist, skin heads etc, but there is clearly a fairly widespread feeling that there is an issue here that needs addressing, but for some reason some on here (and in society in general) others feel that expressing any concern over these issues should automatically classiffy you as racist.
  5. Throwing unfounded accusations of rascism at posters on this forum/thread....
  6. I'm a bit confused by this, so please excuse my ignorance. What exactly is stopping muslims in Britain today from campaigning against and eradicating Islamic Extremism from within their own community? I can't see any attempts at this at all, have seen groups of young muslim men outside a mosque in Harrow with "soldier of Islam" t-shirts on telling white protesters to get out of "their area"!
  7. The problem that groups such as the EDL have is that their image and (lack of) PR skills helps to ensure that their valid message rarely gets across. They make it very easy for the media etc to dismiss them as rascist skin heads and until that changes they'll be banging their heads against a brick wall when trying to get any balanced coverage in the media.
  8. Please show me evidence in this thread of anyone doing that........
  9. "I have Radio Lancashire on my alarm, it goes off at 6:00 every morning; never heard the call to prayer though." Of course it doesn't. That's not my point and you know it. How well intergrated are the muslim community in Oldham? Bradford? Rochdale? "Why not complain about the 'Sikh-isation' of parts of So'ton or the west midlands, of the Hinduisation of Leicester, or the cultural isolationism of Chinatown in Manchester ? There are streets in Blackpool where the To Let signs are in Polish - they even have a special Polish foods section in TESCO." - Exactly! Have you ever wondered why there aren't any protests against these groups? Large groups of immigrants in urban areas? Has it crossed your mind that the muslims might be doing something that the Sikhs, Chinese and Poles aren't, hence why they come in for the criticism and the other "ethnic groups" don't.
  10. Spot on, the hypocrisy from some on here is unbelievable!
  11. There isn't any racism on this thread. HTH.
  12. Hear, hear, same with punch-ups etc, that if had happened in the stands would involve life-bans for the perpetrators.
  13. That message board currently makes great reading!
  14. Decent ideas, but for example, the queue for exact change only, how many people will be in that trying to persuade the kid behind the counter to make an exception, or getting their own maths wrong!
  15. I'm personally not too bothered about not having a beer at my seat, would get knocked over 9 times out of ten! With glass bottles, its the same as at cricket, gigs etc, just takes one idiot, or if someone was to accidently drop one downstairs in the Northam at half time it would be classed as "dangerours". Just think there must be someway to qucikly serve half decent beer, I know loads of people who just don't bother at half time, who would otherwise be happy spending their money in the ground.
  16. Only people I can think this MIGHT appeal to are those whose mates shoot off in different directions after the game, chance to have a quick pint before they go their seperate ways, or maybe anyone with kids who don't want to take them to the pub....both a bit unlikely I know, but I can't think who else this would really appeal to for all the reasosn mentioned above. At least the club are trying other things though. As stated already what is needed is decent/fast access to bottled beers at half time. I don't bother with a pint at half-time as the queues are far too long, just to rush down a quick pint. If I could get downstairs at the half-time whistle and get a bottle of beer, even if it was only something like Carlsberg, in a couple of minutes, the club would be getting money out of me it wouldn't otherwise.
  17. Other classics include: "ypou have a desperate manager.... whose is despearate ... as his reutation goes up in flames..... as he burns.... like a man on fire.... as he burns ...... we may well turn over the next team because of this unjust result..... A clear penalty ... 2 disallowed goals....." And "Also reckoned Southampton support was dismal, not a peep until their goal."
  18. They've got to be joking. Thought our support was very good and if anything was quieter after we'd scored. Hadn't relaised there was so much space in our end on the far side, but was still quality support. So much for Charlton fans creating the most intimidating atmosphere for Pardew:smt043:
  19. Of course a penalty should have been given for the 2nd one, the ref had a shoker all round to be honest. I'm just saying, by Mellis going down so easily for the first one it puts an element of doubt in the refs mind, which is a deciding factor in a lot of penalty decisions.
  20. Mellis's own fault for going down far too easily 5mins earlier.
  21. We still massively lack pace going forward, means opposition teams can push up and push men forward, knowing that we don't/can't really hit them on the break, struggle to get "behind" teams and cause them problems. Also thought we were beaten to the 2nd ball too often. Can see why Charlton look good for promotion, a good side, all over us in the first 20 mins of the 2nd half, have to be happy with a draw really. Our support was excellent and made a mockery of Charlton fans suggestion of them creating an intimidating atmosphere for Pardew etc, wish we could have support like that at every away game...
  22. No it wouldn't the ground would look much worse than it does at the moment if it was to have one whole end completely empty. Leave it how it is, the "spread" of support is going to be as good as it gets with our current crowds.
  23. Done 60ish out of the 92 and will be adding a few this season. To be honest I think it's near on impossible to do the 92 without doing some games as a neutral however long you try, especially with new grounds constantly being built.
