  1. Absolutely spot on. Anyone who names these Saints fans is a grass.
  2. Yeah, good point, I hadn't thought of that, as most of the abuse given out by the Northam is usually original and bang up to date isn't it......
  3. What utter rubbish. "Wimbledon had a pitiful fanbase" - can you let us know how much a team's average home attendance needs to be before it would be an issue for you? The original Wimbledon did brilliantly coming up through the leagues to give the glamour teams a run for their money, they were f*****d over by their local council and then succesive owners. "I like MK Dons because they **** off the When Saturday Comes po-faced Chorley-ites of this world." You "like" them because they annoy people who think that football is more than two random teams running around kicking a ball and the money they can or cannot generate?
  4. 1) The song sounds rubbish, everyone I know cringes when its sung. 2) I personally much prefer these "s***holes" we're going to this year over the Reebok Stadium, Pride Park etc etc. 3) If we can't think of anything better to sing, we should give up now really. FWIW can't wait for Orient, all day on the beer and 3000 Saints stood up roaring the team onto another win
  5. One of the worst football songs of all time.
  6. Am I the only one that thinks Franchise FC should get a fair bit of stick for how their "club" came into being? Few choice songs from the Northam perhaps?
  7. Ha! Good answer! I'd probably agree with that list to be honest.
  8. Like who though? Can't think of too many apart from the really obvious.....
  9. The point still flies right over your head doesn't it? It shouldn't matter why they choose to sit in the Itchen North. The point is that is where they want to sit, this is the area of the ground that they enjoy being in, it doesn't matter if it doesn't appeal to you, they paid out their hard earned cash on the basis that mates would be able to come and sit near them on a game by game basis. This has been takem away by the club with no real reason or logic and we're just being bulls***ted by the club, but you don't seem to mind. If the club want to "encourage" people to go in the Northam, then that's fine, but don't treat loyal, passionate fans like s**t in the meantime.
  10. Now I definitely think you're just on a wind-up. The whole point is that the Northam and the Itchen North aren't the same, that's why for the last 7 years many saints fans have chosen to sit in the Itchen and not the Northam.
  11. Do you not bothering reading anything before you post? Away fans aren't getting moved to the Itchen/Northam corner and there is clearly nothing to suggest that this will happen any time in the near future. This is just a clamp down on those who go in the Itchen North, nothing more, nothing less or are you just on here as a wind up
  12. What are you on about? It shouldn't matter why he wants to stay there or why any of the long-standing loyal fans that have been shoved around by the club want to stay there. The point is they do. Fans who have been coughing up their hard earned cash year in, year out, putting up with rubbish for years, while many other "fans" have jumped ship. For the vast majority of people I know "football" is far more than a 90 minute game played by 22 men etc, its about socialising with your mates, atmospehere, banter with those around you or the opposing fans, having "your part of the ground" and seeing all the familar faces every other Saturday. The Itchen North was obviouly a part of the ground enjoyed by a significant section of Saints support. That developed over years, not months. You might not get why many enjoyed being there, but the fact is they did. The facts are that first of all blocks 1-3 were closed - then the back rows of the other blocks - now season ticket holders only. Its just marginalising and persecuting those that helped contribute to the best atmospheres at St Mary's. There hasn't been any major trouble there. For some reason you're buying into this "wall of noise" nonsense. If people want to move to the Kingsland/Northam corner, then all well and good, but they could move there anyway. The majority of away fans that will come to St Marys will look directly across the ground and see masses of empty seats, they'll look to their left and see empty blocks of seats and a handful of fans left trying their best to keep an atmosphere going.
  13. Make sure you don't show your face if we make it to Wembley then. :smt064
  14. On loan to MK Dons currently.
  15. The Northam is just as bad - the terrible and tedious chant of "Mario" at yesterday's game, classic sung to Brentford of "you're **** and your fans are ****" and we struggle to sing "Oh when the Saints" properly.
  16. Hear, hear mate, spot on! Can't figure out why anyone is "delighted" by this, the club have just rebranded the Kingsland Northam corner as part of the Northam. Who does that benefit? There has always been space in the Northam or towards the Northam end of the Kingsland for anyone who wanted to sit/stand there. All this is doing is further persecuting a large section of loyal, passionate fans, who have really contributed to the atomosphere at St Mary's over the last few years and have gradually been f****d around by the club they support. P.S. - I can't see the club moving away fans to the Itchen North, so god knows why anyone is getting excited by that!
  17. Can't ever see the Northam being persuaded to move to the Chapel. What always annoys me is the amount of people in the Northam who don't sing, never understoof why they come into block 42 and just stand there gormlessly, maybe they enjoy being part of the atmosphere without actually contributing to it.
  18. The club love to tell us to "Get behind the team", but have made every effort to kill off one of the most popular and atmospheric parts of the ground, p******g off long standing and loyal fans.
  19. Don't think anyone can really argue too much with what he's said, fairly sensible and honest I think.
  20. Agree that it was an excellent game (well for the neutral), which on another day we could have won, but a few points: 1) We looked knackered in the last 20 minutes, they didn't. The reason Schneirderlin was taken off for Wotton, is he was absolutely shattered. 2) Still nowhere near enough pace or cutting edge going forward, not enough balls across the box from the by-line. 3) Our back 5 that have been excellent in recent weeks really struggled. 4) Fair play to Rovers, they've put together a good team on limited resources. As frustrated as we all are, how much has Pardew actually got wrong? How can he legislate for a Kelvin Davis **** up? Or Lalanna missing a sitter? Another point is why does the Northam always go quiet in the 2nd half after being loud in the first half?
  21. Anyone know how many tickets have been sold for tomorrow? Have Rovers sold out?
  22. Definitely quicker going to central, but if your meeting doesn't finish until 6, you'll probably miss the start of the match, think last train from London to make kick off is the 6.05.
  23. Still go the problem of lack of pace going forward and a general cutting edge in the last third, we're struggled to create decent chances against two fairly poor sides in the last two weeks. Still another game unbeaten and another point picked up on our travels. Decent support and a good day out, thank **** I didn't leave early!
  24. You could really do with getting out a bit more mate
  25. Absolute rubbish! You have a strange fascination with violence towards the Asian community, it appears all you want to post about. What has been happening at the EDL demos is; Group of relatively small EDL turn up with placards etc, some probably act a bit aggressively and chant etc (which is wrong/stupid and can appear intimidating), this then gives the local Asian youths the excuse to run riot attacking those in the protest, as well as innocent white passers by. The pictures shown above are just the tip of the iceberg, with comments like "they can't come into OUR area". There is usually a disproportionately large police presence at these events with cameras focused onto the EDL presenters any threat or even perceived threat to the local Muslim or Asian community is minimal to say the least!
