I cringed when the "Liebherr" songs started up, just shows how fickle football fans are, you won't hear those songs if we lose our next couple of games. I am very grateful that he came in and invested and they've done an excellent job so far, but its all purely a business investment by him, nothing more, nothing less and the idea of hero worshiping anyone for that is a bit stupid in my humble opinion.

Don't bother mate, you'll look a complete and utter fool. HTH.

Should Pardew rest players in JPT game ahead of Leeds?
Sour Mash replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
I don't suppose anyone has any inside knowledge on whether Norwich are planning on resting players? Or if Leeds are planning on resting anyone for their game at Carlisle? -
LOL, exactly, was a half decent rendition and that's about it, wasn't anywhere near the whole ground joining in either. As stated before on here, have a look at Youtube for Spurs or Stoke doing it a lot better. Still at least it was the slower version, which is a start I guess.

As stated above, never came close to filling it when in the prem, plus rip-off prices and near xmas, anything over 1.5k would be good. Stupid prices from them not making an effort to fill their ground, but that's Leeds for you!

It will be to see Saints get another three points and to have a decent booze.....

Nothing is "wrong" with it, I'm glad you're going, just don't see what difference last night's result makes to whether it is worth going to Walsall or not. :smt040
-
No that's not how it works. You do realise the other teams will also be playing/winning games at the same time
-
You decided to go to Walsall because we managed to beat Wycombe at home 1-0?
-
Surely the time and vast amounts of money could be better spent elsewhere?
-
Great advice, I'm sure you've checked this.

By train, no, you'd probably miss the first 10 or so minutes from what I can see. In a car, depends where you're leaving from, would be fine without rush hour traffic, think you'd just about be ok on a tuesday evening, definitely worth giving it a go I'd say.

Had a pub crawl around Northampton before and after the game and it was full of what I would call "proper pubs", good little town for a day on the beer.
-
Think it'll be Bournemouth next year I'm afraid!

Cheers.

Are tickets definitely available on the day?

I think the lad is absolute class, as others have stated above, fingers crossed he stays.

There were a fair few spare seats dotted around, but excellent support, Hartlepool's crowd looked completely disinterested.
-
Very good, but its probably just the trainspotter in me that noticed the author worked his way up the Great North Eastern Railway as locations for the people he made up his "quotes" from, Stevenage, Peterborough, Doncaster, York, Newcastle, Edinburgh. Simple minds and all that, I'll get my coat........

Why did they leave it so late to book their travel?? Can't believe there is no space on the buses, but they do fill up with a day or so to go. Can't help myself, but hopefully there'll be someone on here who can.

Rubbish "trolling". Must try hader, far too obvious.

Going off subject slightly, but it is now certainly a myth that English supporters are the loudest/most passionate in the world, especially when compared to those from places like Germany/Austria/Croatia/Greece/most of the former eastern bloc countries.

I thought Holmes looked class first couple of months of last season. Injuries have taken their toll since then, but he can beat a man, get to the by-line and cross well and generally pull opposing defences around a bit, he may not be a complete world beater, but I find it hard to believe he's not even worth a run out. Mills is more versatile and a better defender, but I don't think he's a better left-winger.

The Official "I'm going to Hartlepool on a Tuesday" thread
Sour Mash replied to bungle's topic in The Saints
Any pubs recommended for Hartlepool? -
While our support is better than a lot of teams, there is still massive room for improvement. Anyone who remembers blocks 3, 4 and 5 in the Archers Road before we moved or the Northam for the first few seasons at SMS will know that the Northam is currently a pale imitation of the atmosphere, noise and wit previously enjoyed. The rest of the ground is dead, completely lifeless. Combine that with the fact that a fair few other teams sing "our" song a lot better than us.
