A new English national anthem... where do you stand?
Sour Mash replied to Crab Lungs's topic in The Lounge
Nah, keep it as it is, I like it! -
Yep, just goes to show how clueless so many on here really are.

But he's not very quick.

These three sites will give you all the train info you need, like I say will come out really pricey... http://www.sbb.ch/ http://www.eurostar.com/dynamic/_SvBoExpressBookingTerm?_TMS=1279014578105&_DLG=SvBoExpressBookingTerm&_LANG=UK&_AGENCY=ESTAR&country=UK&lang=UK&VT=EB http://www.bahn.de/i/view/GBR/en/index.shtml

You can get a train, trains in France and Switzerland are excellent, but fairly expensive, I looked at going over by train and think you're looking in the region of £120+ return. If you're not fussy about where you stay, try here http://www.hostelbookers.com/results/index.cfm?strSearchType=dropDown&intCountrySelect=48&intDestSelect=1722&intpeople=1&straccommodationtype=hostels&hasSearched=true&intCountryID=48&intdestinationid=1722&intpropertyid=-1&strkeywords=Fribourg%2C+Switzerland&fuseaction=accommodation.search&dtearrival=16%2F07%2F2010&intnights=2&languageid=1 ha ha, I'm sure you'll love it........

Not sure why so many are saying he's good going forward, he wasn't and his crosses were gash.
-
What the hell are you on? You got the right post or thread? As that really doesn't make sense at all.
-
Good for you. But it will cost plenty of other Saints fans £28 through no real choice of their own.
-
Why? I'd much rather have tickets as cheap as possible and the additional money being made up from programmes, beers, kits being sold. Doesn't mean you give tickets away, just have them at a reasonable level. Buying shirts, programmes, beers etc are all fairly optional to the individual, they're "nice to haves" for a lot of fans, as oppossed to what is "essential", being able to afford a match ticket.
-
What does programme prices have to do with anything?
-
Exactly. Think Stu has a point on this thread, as much as many don't like to admit it. Yes, our ground is a bit smarter than others and we should be winning more games than most, but we've also got a 32k ground that will have a lot of empty seats next season. I don't have a particular problem with our ticket prices, I think they're ok, fingers crossed they don't effect next season's crowds too much.

FA Cup 2nd round (I think).

Blatter's Sorry - Get Ready For Goal line Technology
Sour Mash replied to Gemmel's topic in General Sports
Well they shouldn't be allowed to, as that particular "change in technology" clearly hasn't worked. Probably not the best example to back up your argument. -
Thought the Mexican Salcido (sp?) looked good at left back, Landon Donovan was excellent for the US, plus Honda for Japan.

Gutted. RIP Malc. A true Saint.

Bournemouth League Cup **Ticket Details Announced**
Sour Mash replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
As I've asked on this thread and no-one has bothered to answer, what would you consider a fair/correct price for this game? We'd all always like cheaper tickets, but I wouldn't realistically expect less than £16 a ticket for a game like this. -
Blatter's Sorry - Get Ready For Goal line Technology
Sour Mash replied to Gemmel's topic in General Sports
Spot on. A microchip (or whatever they will use) and a sensor to confirm if the ball is over the line is the only is the only technology that could possibly work with football. However, even that has its faults. Read somewhere recently that these systems are quite expensive, so for which levels of the game would they be used for? Can't see a lot of League 1 teams being able to afford it. And how often does an "over the line" call actually happen? It's still avery rare occurance, a lot of time, money and effort put into covering the possibility of something that really doesn't happen very often. -

Is Cortese deliberately trying to annoy the fans.
Sour Mash replied to landford.saint's topic in The Saints
Communication between the fans and the club certainly hasn't been great over the last few months. It's stupid from Cortese, as with a bit of easy PR spin here and there, a lot of decisions would be accepted more easily and he'd be buying himself a lot more time from criticism. However, some fans are really over-reacting over all this, in the grand scheme of things, very few people I know really care that much about having their season ticket seat for one particular game, or if they are given a chance to vote on the new kit. You sound like a load of spoilt kids. -

Out of interest, what would you consider to be a "fair/correct" price for this game? -
Bournemouth League Cup **Ticket Details Announced**
Sour Mash replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
No, not really. To be honest, if I'd been in-charge of the ticket office, then I'd have probably offered fans the chance to claim their own seat, but for whatever reason the club hasn't, just don't see why its that much hassle to transfer a bit of money etc. They're actually sort of doing you a favour, "forcing" you to buy collectively, so less of you have to pay the £3 admin charge -

I'm fully aware its not the "only way". Every individual's circumstances are different. Just don't see how hard it is to buy a load of tickets together, its not going to happen every week, bit of a pain, but just a one-off, I honestly can't see how anyone's "match going experience" will be significantly worse becasue of this.
