It appears that Nick Illingsworth has been refused a season ticket
Sour Mash replied to hypochondriac's topic in The Saints
Ha ha, was Silverspoons that bad?!!! I feel for any Saints fans who may have been ripped off in anyway, from what its heard it's always rubbish, hence my posts on here prior to the JPT final warning people off. If Illingsworth can be shown to have ripped off other Saints fans for his own profit, then he should be held accountable for that, but that is a seperate issue to all of this..... -

F**k me, this thread really does sum up the majority of people on this board. Short-sighted, with the "well I'm alright, so sod any other saints fans" attitude. I hope none of you have your enjoyment of following saints in anyway affected under Cortese's tenure, you better not complain if you do........... -
I can't speak for any others, but I don't want Cortese to leave and I believe he has done a lot of good for the club since being here. But that doesn't mean he is beyond criticism and certainly doesn't mean there aren't vast areas of improvements, mainly in dealing with supporters. I can see a trend and if this is the way fans are viewed when we're in League One, I can imagine how things would go if we continue to be successful. Also, if Cortese and/or Liebherr were to leave, the club would still survive and I believe prosper. Maybe not as quickly as under the current team, but we've got a relatively modern 30k+ ground, can average well over 20k week in, week out, I think we'd be fine long-term.

Just ammended it slightly for you.
-
You're trying far too hard for a reaction/some attention with that post.
-
So you think that it's the right and fair way to to treat fans? Yes or no? You sum up a lot of fans on this forum, the "I'm ok, sod everyone else" attitude.... "I really dont care if he (or anyone else) is banned from SMS," FFS.
-
Yes, as long as it's not threatening or personally abusive etc, then why not?
-
Surely that's not the point though? Whether you like the individual concerned or not, I would strongly disagree with any Saints fan being banned due to them publicly criticising the club, even all the idiots on here!
-
Surely this is very worrying and if true something that should concern all Saints fans? Whether you like Nick or not, having your season ticket money returned just for having a moan about the club is just another example of how the club is being closed to the fans. They want as much money as possible from us and nothing else.
-
If true, then that is an absolute disgrace. Can't believe it is true, as I'm sure much more of a fuss would have been made if so.
-
T20 = Cricket for people who don't actually like cricket.
-
The Red Lion in Fenny Stratford is probably your best bet, fair few other pubs around it as well if you want to do a bit of a "crawl".
-
It's another debate altogether, but there were loads of positives under Lowe, he gets far more stick than he deserves.
-
I hope he never plays for us again after reading that.
-
Barnard and Connolly must be chuffed to be part of that line up.
-
£23 is a bit steep for league one as well in my opinion, anything over£20 is. Guess the same at St Marys.
-
Guess it's gone straight to general sale as they know there'll be plenty more available after the initial 1.5k, so anyone who wants one shouldn't have a problem getting one. With regards to pubs, there are a fair few decent ones in Fenny Stratford, 20+ minutes walk from the ground, 5 mins drive (depending on traffic).
-
Would just be a pity if we do sell out games this season, that then have empty seats due to people taking up the free season ticket option, but only occassionally (or never) using it. Hopefully, that'll only apply to a real minority of cases.
-
I completely agree with encouraging "future generations" of Saints support. The free ticket thing doesn't matter too much either way now as we won't really be selling out at all, but if we do move up through the divisions there is no way they can continue unfortunately.
-
Yep, fine, so you can pay £50 (£2.50 a game) for the privillege?
-
Stupid policy of free under 8 tickets, should at least be something like £50 to stop this sort of thing.
-
Who are you speaking on behalf of?
-
A question to everyone on here. How many season tickets sold by the start of the season would you see as a success? Simply beating last year's figure?
-
Does anyone know how many free under 8s tickets are included in this?
-
Spot on post. Good to see we've sold a decent number of season tickets, but it could have been more. Strange bit of PR spin from the club re "significantly more" than last year, which I'm really not sure is the case. And how sad it is to see grown men wetting themselves through excitement at the possibility of proving Stu/Dave wrong.
