Glad to see you all know I'm right
-
Just highlighted a bit for you.

Yep, fair play to him. MASSIVE wealth and job creator for this country, self made, hard working, forward thinking, exactly the kind of person we should be encouraging in this country.
-
To be fair that offer was pretty s**t!

They don't necessarily lie, but they use a certain amount of creativity and choice in what they publish to paint a certain picture. The reason many don't sue is that they know there is enough truth mixed in there, that the last thing they want to do is bring it all up again by dragging it through the courts by suing. I don't trust what any journalists say, not just those of The Sun and will always try to read between the lines of anything they publish.

He's always f****g joking, yet it still flies miles over some people's heads.
-
Just a yes or no is all it would have taken. From your answers its clearly a "no".
-
Glad to see you were able to answer my question without any problems.
-
Rather than trying to be clever, do you think £21 to watch Bolton (possibly their reserve side) play Saints in the Carling Cup 2nd round is the right price?
-
Yes, because despite the majority of us saying we don't care about Bournemouth, the fact that it was a local side coming with big support made it a bit more interesting, hence a fair few made the effort to go when they might not have bothered for a lot of potential opponents. Birmingham, like Bolton, just won't get people interested I'm afraid. Hope it is a good crowd, but just can't see it with these prices.
-
Fair enough, but you're going to be in the minority I think. We will see.
-
Think you pay the £3 booking fee doing it over the net as well, so doesn't make much difference (Inconvenient I know).
-
But a lot of others won't go unfortunately, whether we like it or not. Do you think £18-20 for Round 2 of the Carling Cup against Bolton is a good price? Can't see Bolton bringing down too many at all either.
-
Far too steep prices in my opinion. Looking at potentially a very low crowd for this one. Should have tried to cash in on it still being the school holidays etc.
-
Spot on. Articulated much better than I could manage.
-
What exactly is wrong with my post? Care to explain how discussing what will happen to Saints now is going to hurt anyone in anyway? Its the obvious thing that every Saints fan I know started to ask within an hour of finding out the news. Or can you give us all a shout and let us know when it will be ok to ask the question? Thanks.

Ah that old classic!
-
Well if you have no opinion on it, then don't post on it. IF people want to say they think its over the top, let them. They've got every right. We all know its not going to effect their decision in anyway, so whats wrong in people using this forum to say "fair play that's their decision, but personally I'd have done it a bit differently"? Or "I'd have done XYZ instead". Thats what these forums should be all about one way or another. If they were to call off the Orient game as well, would people be allowed to object/disagree with that?
-
If the Prime Minister was to die tomorrow, the first thing everyone would be asking is "what will happen now?". Don't see how its so much different here (yes a bit more personal, but the same principle). There is a fair bit of hypocrisy on here, the only reason the majority care is that ML put in a load of money to your football club (yes he seemed like a sound chap with it), but you wouldn't give a t**s otherwise. Stop having a pop at other posters, its not like they're calling up ML's nearest and dearest shouting down the phone "what the f**ks going to happen?" is it?
-
No, don't think I posted anything about the Ted bates Trophy on here, but for what its worth I think it was wrong getting rid of it. No-one is really moaning about the game being called off, no-one is disrespecting ML and that is the main jist of my posts, the huge over-reaction from so many on here to anyone who might speak out of turn and dare suggest the decision is a bit over the top. I think its a valid point of view and a pity we can't give ML a proper good send off at the game this Saturday.
-
Bizare, why would I want to PM you or start a thread about you? Strange in the least. Don't take it to heart if people challenge your posts such as "only the club can decide" - has anyone said anything different? Why can't people say that they don't see how cancelling a game is particularly a mark of respect without being accused of being disrespectful? I don't get it really, same as I don't get playing Paul Wotton in the first team - neither are my choice though obviously......
-
Exactly. Why does the MK Dons game get called off and the Orient game fine to go ahead?
-
Can't get refunds on those advanced train tickets.
-
Thanks for yet another pearl of wisdom, and I thought they were going to put it to a vote on this message board.....
-
How many posts on this forum have been disrespectful? Had the opposite effect on people I know and made loads who weren't planning on going on saturday want to go, loads had started making plans to do the game and give ML a proper send off. Think you just need to calm down a bit and keep a sense of perspective.
