Quick, tell me, what is it I've missed?
-
But did you have the same seat for every single one of those games? Can't have been much fun otherwise.
-
Well you assume wrong then, he's been going regularly home and away for 20+years, but unlike some weirdos on here enjoys watching Saints play whether he is sits in the same seat as usual or not.
-
Come on, it's only £15, give it a try, you might even enjoy the game, even if it isn't in your usal seat!
-
Why do you disagree with it?
-
More games you bother going to, the better fan you are, as a general rule, what is wrong with that? I think those who can be "bothered" to go tomorrow are better fans than those that can't be "bothered".
-
Deciding not to go to a particular game becuase you can't sit in your usual seat is sad.
-
My thoughts exactly. Shrewsbury are a decent enough side and will definitely give us a game, reckon they'll bring a few downa nd make a bit of noise as well. Anyone else see the stupidity of saints fans saying their not going to the game because the ground will be half-empty, it wouldn't be half-empty if you bothered to go!

There were cheap deals available for the 18th, just think they've all been snapped up now. Cheap ways of going from London to Brum are the line out of Marylebone to either Snow Hill or Moor Street (always cheap, even if you pay on the day and although slow, I'd take that over a coach) or the London Midland Service from Euston - again it is slow, but if you have Network South East Cards, buy returns to Northampton (or wherever the last station is within the "south east", I can't remember) and then another return from there to Brum. Also worth buying your tickets through to the Bescot/Walsall, as its minimal extra cost on the ticket and saves hassle on the day.
-
Probably because he comes across as an arrogant, attention-seeking weirdo?
-
How miserable are you? If you didn't enjoy the game on Tuesday night you may as well knock going to football on the head, as you aren't going to have much fun.
-
£15 is fine for what should be a good game between two decent sides. Even most non-league football is around the £10 mark, so I'm not such what people expect. You can find much cheaper parking all over the place. You don't need to buy a programme and as far as I understand it (please correct if I'm wrong), its the same price paying on the day, so don't need to pay Cortese's tax for any reason.
-
He needs games? How many games exactly does he need? Few goals from open play would certainly help him, but he's played plenty of football now this season, can't see how it could be a match-fitness issue.

Got home at 2.15am. To say I was unhappy at South West Trains customer service back at Waterloo would be a bit of an understatement. F**k knows what sort of mood I'd have been in if we'd lost! Only a few D&R on board, but were a sound little lot to be fair.

Just a suggestion, but if you take Lambert's career as a whole, could it be that the last couple of seasons he was at his absolut peak and this is the more "normal" Lambert? He didn't exactly set the lower leagues on fire in his early 20s. For what its worth, I still think he's an excellent player and is lacking confidence and a bit of motivation. I wouldn't be surprised if we knocked back a few approaches for him in the summer to play at a higher level and he feels a bit like he's missed his chance now, who knows.
-
Agreed. Probably not the hardest game ever to referee, but I thought he was excellent, let the game flow, balanced for both sides, very few bookings.
-
Good luck to all those up today/this week. Taking the p**s publishing their names and addresses in a skate paper.
-
Exactly, you can see where they're coming from. Also, I guess the split in income is just reserved to gate receipts, therefore Saints will still be making plenty of money by getting more bodies in, through selling drinks, food, programmes etc and Shrewsbury won't be seeing any of that money. So they want to make as much as possible out of ticket sales, whereas its not so much of a priority for Saints?
-
We'd all love to have the cheapest tickets possible, but £15 is ok really, if you look at the cost of going to even some of the lower non-league games, its not too far off a tenner.
-
Quite funny article that, having a nice pop at Shrewsbury to get a bit of rivalry and interest going before the game! If Shrewsbury really wanted to charge full price, that is moronic, £15-£5 a pop should still get a good crowd in and earn them a few quid.
-
Quality trip last year and making a longer trip of it this year as lack of decent trains going back made a day trip less appealing. Depends a bit on upcoming results, but I can't see much more than 600 or so travelling, it is a f****g trek to be fair!

Cheers for posting that up. I think anything between £10-15 for adults would be decent. -

Ha, no worries. bit of a bugger with away games on 3rd and 4th round cup days etc, not too much one can do about it. Good idea re. the "super deals" thread, however, being the selfish c**t that I am, I shan't be posting on there until my pals and I are fully booked up first for any trip ;-)
