As an "outsider" I was surprised at the decision as I thought he'd been doing well on a limited budget, but the Charlton fans I know didn't seem to rate him at all.
-
Think you'll find it's Parkway and NOT Eastleigh as I stated above
-
Same coming down from London/Basingstoke etc, can only get as far as Parkway, then replacement bus. Will be the case for the next few home games as well I think.
-
No it doesn't.
-
But lateish kick off, on sky, s**t loads of other away games over the next few months...........
-
Exactly. Glad to hear the team taking a bit of time out to mix with supporters, currently some of the best times following Saints in many years.

Earliest age to take a child to a football match?

No point taking kids before they're 5 years old and even after that I'd stick to pre-season games, reserves etc, early rounds of league cup matches. -
Exeter reject Brighton bid for playmaker Ryan Harley

What the f**k, you think MS is better defensively than Chaplow? -
No, but if we're talking about yesterday's game there were far more police there than was needed. Completely unthreatening atmosphere, no chance of trouble, no hostility between the fans, yet plenty of police out for the day.
-
No not really, they were there for an easy bit of over-time on a bank holiday, nice work if you can get it.
-
So what, it's still a s**t song!
-
Great, just what this board needs, another crackpot. I did not see one Saints fan "after trouble" yesterday, let alone "a majority". Truly bizarre.
-
I thought our support was decent yesterday and fairly loud by our usual standard, plenty of good songs got a airing, so no need for the dire rubbish like "I've got a shed/Fire Drill/Strawberry/Wotsit" I honestly do not know of anyone that finds them funny.
-
What a miserable git you are. The lad got chucked out for nothing more than enthusiastically celebrating our first goal, a typical example of the police trying to justify their massively excessive presence and costs. I bet you're one of those sad cases that sits there in silence the whole game, with a miserable/confused look on your face for the duration.
-
Yeah, embarrassing, along with the now regular droning of "Is there a fire drill?" even when hardly any of the opposing fans are actually leaving. That "strawberry on his head" song made me f*****g cringe as well.
-
They weren't able to get a pitch passed fit to play football on despite a lack of any severe weather at the time. Combination of them and D'Urso = a complete f**k up! Only with something like football that fans can get treated like that and be told just to lump it.

Walsall Weather Watch / Build-up Thread - Game called off!
Sour Mash replied to Master Bates's topic in The Saints
Very annoyed with this. How can they call it off this early? At least see early tomorrow morning? What annoys me is yes this weather is a bit bad, but its nothing that extreme, we could quite easily have several more weekends of this and therefore a whole load of games called off. Plus it’s the impression I get that not that much real effort is made to get the game on, bet Blues’ game goes ahead! Another train fare potentially wasted, and a good day out on the beer with pals cancelled. Rubbish! -
Agree. Going to have at least 300 to chase in a 4th innings of a test match against a bowling attack that has found a bit of form, can only see one result in this now. Will keep the series interesting at least!

Yes. Comfortably one of the better posters on this site. -
That's not right at all. I'd kick up a fuss and get the £3 back just for the principle of it, but maybe that's just me being tight!

Don't know why anyone is writing this games off already, it might be called off, but there is still a fairly good chance it'll be played, the forecast isn't THAT bad and there hasn't been a sustained period of severely bad weather like we had before the Hartlepool game.
