He's got a point though. It doesn't exactly encourage people to attend, particularly at short-notice.

Slightly understandable with the amount of football we've got on at the moment, but with this being a massive game in our promotion push I'd have hoped for a few more than that. Thought the crowd really played its part on Saturday and showed what a good turn-out and good, positive, vocal support can do at times.

Felt like a lot more to be honest, never too sure how reliable some of these figures are when a lot of people pay on the gate. Would be great to take LOADS to Rochdale, can't wait for this one - new ground; northern, midweek away trip to an old, rund-down Lancashire Mill town; massive game in our push for promotion; overnighter on the beer in Manc. As the youth of today would say - "buzzing"!

Cheers chaps, might give a go for the last pre-match/first post-match pint, probably going to be packed now its been mentioned on here.

Can anyone remember how busy the Birbeck Tavern got close to kick off, 2pm-ish last season?

How about the fact that white, anglo-saxons are under-represented in those playing for Premier League teams, surely, like society, there is an inherent and latent racist undercurrent?

Yep, absolutely cracking series, although his constant insane grin does start to grate a bit after a while!

And Stoke at Spurs I think, just in case no-one else has mentioned it.

Think I'm going to have to dig out my 'Goals of the Season' videos from the late 80s/early-mid 90s, relive some classic memories. Great stuff.

London bridge is probably the top spot for a beer in London, bit too much of a trek over to Leyton for my liking for it to work for a pre-match drink for this one. Liverpool Street, Bethnal Green and even Stratford have a fair few options dotted around.

When it looked like they really were going to go to the wall, we sung "Tell us what it's like when your team won't exist anymore" as the last line.

I can think of £6 million reasons why Capello should get stick. What value does he add for earning that huge amount of money? What difference does he really make? I can't see any. What does he do that Stuart Pearce on his own, on a fraction of the money wouldn't do? Yes, there are plenty of other reasons England don't achieve as much as some of us hope/expect, (the FA officials who sanctioned Cappelo's new contract before the world cup should be shot), but that doesn't mean Capello can't take any blame. Furthermore, it should be a rule that all nations can only employ managers of their own nationality, the whole point of national teams are that they represent that country and not benefit based on how wealthy their FA are and therefore if they are able to uy the best coaches money can buy.

Leyton Orient away sold out...Extra tickets allocated

So if someone was to buy these tickets and their child is sick on the day, they wouldn't be allowed in? Child ticket is only a fiver on top? Stupid system anyway, causes more problems then not. -

Why not just buy a ticket in "family" section? -
Could anyone help me to get Brighton and Brentford ticket?

Worth trying to buy in the Brentford end now if you can, taht's your best option. Also, I think Plymouth tickets are still on general sale. -

Where on earth do you get that from? I assume you have some well balanced evidence and substantiation for that statement and it isn't simply wild and pointless speculation? -

That's hardly a surprise is it! And why "rightly in your opinion"? -
Football Supporters Federation - Safe standing petition

Oh and do you think that a decision to allow safe-standing would lose any party or politician one single vote? Do you seriously think anyone would change your vote on that basis? Anyone not involved in football wouldn't give a flying f**k! -

I don't think that is the public's perception of what football fans are like these days at all. Look at how many ads, media bits and pieces attach themselves to the game. It's popular and mainstream (unforunately). I work in as "normal" an office as possible and I've never heard or seen anyone refer to football fans in that way, most people with a bit of a brain and a basic grip on reality realise it is a very out-dated image. Guess when it comes to discussing "perception" it will always just be a matter of opinion, so we may as well leave it there. -

Yes, I fully understood your point, but maybe I didn't address it directly in my reply. The majority of members of the general public couldn't care either way, as long as there aren't major riots etc, it would pass under the radar. I think most politicians are savvy enough to know that major disorder in and around football grounds is pretty much a thing of the past. They are also aware how big a part of this country's social fabric football can and does play. A sustained and well organised campaign does have a chance of succeeding. Of course there are plenty of barriers and the old "fear of hooliganism" will be one of those, but that is not enough in my eyes to just say "it looks unlikely, so don't bother", it may be unlikely, but its certainly not impossible. -

Really? There would be as much chance of trouble as there is now. Have you seen what safe standing actually looks like? They would still be in modern, well managed stadiums, covered in CCTV etc, the same things that stop trouble in seating. Not to forget there is still terracing in use all over the country. Haven't seen too many problems at Peterborough this year. I haven't sat down at a game for years, same goes for a lot of the lads I go to games with, why not ensure it's done in a properly managed way? -

Has anyone confirmed where/how these family tickets are being allocated for? Will it just be a seperate block within our regular section? -
Along with last night's support, shows what a MASSIVE club we are. Makes youwonder how many tickets we could have sold for this one. Assume Brentford and Brighton will also sell out straight away, can't imagine there are too many left for Plymouth either.
