  1. Like our two away games at Huddersfield over the last two seasons? I think both teams would do well in the Championship, look stronger than a lot of the teams in the bottom third of that league.
  2. Even that was s**t as well. Just another meaningless copy from another club/country, that said nothing about Stevenage as a club, their history, their players etc. The reason so many songs are copied from Man Utd and Liverpool are they're two of the only clubs that come up with decent, original songs, still makes me cringe though that we now seem to carbon copy every single United song.
  3. How often is that ever sung these days?
  4. Agreed. Utterly s**t.
  5. Agreed. In a weird way we're now a "bigger" club than when we were in the Prem.
  6. Well obviously the fact that we are not as closely surrounded by other comparable sized clubs is a bonus for the likelihood of us having bigger support. We already pull lots of support from across the south of England. My point is that it is not comparable to other parts of the country as it is less of a footballing area, us having a large bit of southern England to pull support from wouldn't be the same as say Newcastle ahving the whole of teh North-East.
  7. This is another mistake that many seem to make when talking about "potenital" support. Yes, there is more geographical space around us than clubs in other parts of the country, but rural Hampshire, Wiltshire, Berkshire aren't footballing areas in the same way that Lancashire, the North-East or even London is. Its why people rattling on about Plymouth's potential is pointless - yes they have a big "catchment area", but that's not much good if most of them don't give a f**k about Plymouth or football.
  8. No, I still honestly don't have a clue what you're on about. Sorry.
  9. Please don't take this the wrong way, but what the f**k are you on about?
  10. ^
  11. Spurs could easily get 50k most weeks, they've got massive support, and when they finally sort themelves out and get their ground development out of the way (which I know is stilla fair way off), they will be getting much bigger crowds than us. The whole point of this thread is about potential. Spurs are potentially a massive club, we are not.
  12. How on earth have you got us as having the same potential as Villa, Spurs etc? They are much bigger, better supported clubs, with much more "pull" throughout the footballing world. Unless the Liebherr's want to spend very large amounts of money, we will do very well to regularly be a mid-table Prem team with the occasional cup run.
  13. But if City don't come close to selling out their ground now, even though they're having one of their most successful season's for 35 years, then how can they be seen as a tier 1 club? There are loads of clubs that if they had had the season City have would be getting better crowds. And my point re Luton was in relation to you saying we took X to Wembley, therefore have potentioal to be bigger. Loads of clubs take stupid numbers to Wembley, its a day out for the whole family/town/city, not really a proper way of judging the size of a club's long-term support and potential.
  14. Can't think of anything worse. As soon as we scored a "big" goal, beer would go flying all over the place.
  15. Man City haven't even come close to selling out loads of home games this season, one of their most successful in many, many years. Luton took something like 40k+ to Wembley, doesn't mean they should be a "Tier 4" club does it?
  16. Chelsea and Spurs should be above Manc City and Newcastle. Swansea and QPR should be higher.
  17. You've obviously got a load of stick for all that, but nothing posted there is wrong. I like Adkins, I'm pleased he's with us and I'm looking forward to next season, but the hard work really starts now, finishing 2nd given the resources available to us isn't a massive achievement. Lets look forward to see what he can do with decent resources in the Championship....
  18. Good shout. You reckon 100,000 would be big enough by then though? Think you're being pessimistic again mate, stop bringing this thread down.
  19. F**ks sake, just checked and they haven't announced where the 2014 Champions League Final is yet, damn UEFA, was looking forward to gettting my plans sorted for that soon.
  20. Exactly. I can see us being a settled Premiership side, maybe a shout of a bit of Europa league action or a cup win if we're lucky, but anyone hoping for more than that will be sorely disappointed, unless the Liebherr's decide to blow a very large chunk of the family fortune.
  21. Deppo and Alpine Saint?
  22. Exactly, plus different prices etc. Chelsea are a bigger club and a more recognised "brand" (hate to use that word in anyway connected to footbalL), then Saints. Wouldn't ever want Saints to be a Chelsea or Man City anyway.
  23. It was Matthew Harding.
