Gobern is 18 and yeah I agree he looks a really decent prospect. If Holmes can just stay fit we look solid on the left hand side what with Holmes, Mills, Gobern, Harding etc.

Can't argue with that. I think people quickly forget that Saints could be dead. Personally I'd rather AP took a bit more time to make sure he got the right players in. Some people on here would rather see the headline 'Saints spend £5million on total flop' just so that they can say oh yes that's proof we have lots of money! If there are decent frees out there, which there are, then they will take priority. Once all the decent freebies are gone then the next stage is to look at contracted players. There's no point in spending lots of cash when there are dozens of freebies up for grabs.

Only been on my own once when I started uni and didn't really know anyone to invite. Since then I've managed to convert a few mates to Saints fans and SMS regulars and sometimes have 10 or so mates who want to come to games! Makes getting seats together in the Northam a bit harder though!

I don't understand people like you who never fail to see or point out any sort of negative aspect with anything! A month ago there were threads on here with people debating what team they would support if Saints folded, which looked very possible. We now have a very bright future and a terrific proven English manager who has told us all he is working on getting people in and to expect new faces in the coming weeks. Yet you still feel the need for a sarcastic comment about the lack of new players coming in! Cmon 'Thedelldays' you seriously need to put things into perspective and cheer up a bit! The players will come! Pardew knows what he's doing and finding and recruiting the right people clearly takes time

Ha ha this just gets better! With the sort of players they are being linked with/signing they are relegation material for sure this season! Pompey and Hull to go down with either Wolves, Burnley or Wigan joining them

Hopefully will be at least one signing tomorrow. Murty seems the most logical but Harding's transfer came out of nowhere so fingers crossed Pardew will have another couple of decent freebies lined up ready to sign before this time next week!

Excellent news to see Adam commit - looked very lively and hungry against Hearts and has the potential to be a class or two above most in this league

Does that mean that getting a few tickets on general sale in the Northam is going to be difficult this season? May have to get a ST after all even though I will only be in England whilst at uni which isn't ideal!
