Good point, it's easy to ridicule Trump from afar, without having experienced his America, but I can confirm that most of the comments on this thread are indeed correct.

USA - Championship TV coverage 2023/24
LVSaint replied to Rut's topic in Overseas Saints / Supporters Groups
I'd stick with DAZN/ESPN+, it's tried and tested. Saintsplayer (other than being expensive as fuck), has all the ingredients for it to not work very well/at all, especially if Rasmus was involved in it. -
Yeah I'll give you a shout next time I'm over. I was glad to see belenenses get back into the second tier after the AFC Wimbledon style ride they've had in the last few years. I also got to see Benfica vs Burnley at Estadio do Restelo in a friendly and would have got to another had it not been for the pesky Pope stealing police away from their duties at games and forcing them to be closed door matches.
-
Do you support Estoril or see their games? I was at Estoril vs Belenenses (my Portuguese team) in the cup two weeks ago. Cute little stadium in town, fun evening out.

Any streams with sound out there?

Thanks Rut. I'll try to catch the game on some kind of stream on Friday, I'm not in the US (or England) at the moment. -

Cheers Rut. I know you've subscribed to espn for some time. What's your experience of espn uploading games for replay? If so, are they quite quick at doing so, say within two hours like Peacock does, for lazy fuckers like me? -
With the defence and central midfield plundered, we look to be going into the new season where our existing attacking force from last season is our strongest facet. Cool.

USA Saints - No more NBC Gold
LVSaint replied to Dark Munster's topic in Overseas Saints / Supporters Groups
ESPN+ is the way to go probably. You can bundle it with Disney and Hulu for a decent price. Not that I give a shit about Disney (apart from when Andor comes on), but Hulu we get anyway. ESPN gives us all FA cup games as well. Wooooo. We've been spoilt rotten with Saints coverage for the last ten years. It's shit but hopefully this season will be the only time we have to worry about this, although I suspect it's not... -
Can we keep sulemana?
-
If he's shit it will be, just as Jones' bible bashing was, because he was shit. I don't care who or what he believes in, providing he can get us winning again.

USA Saints - No more NBC Gold
LVSaint replied to Dark Munster's topic in Overseas Saints / Supporters Groups
Directly through the Saints website I'd imagine as currently most championship club games can be watched. £25 a month though....hmmmm, no thanks. ESPN+ carry several championship games a week. I seem to remember we were on almost every other week last time around. -
I think the only one we'll be getting rid of there is JWP
-
The only thing missing from this season is the customary 9-0. Arsenal need the goals.

The level of hand wringing in the NBC studio between Rebecca Lowe, Robbie Earle and Tim Howard is so cringey. (Instant sacking, will never officiate again, if it were a fan, they'd be jailed, etc.) Not once discussing the cuntworthiness of Robertson.

If we lose...there is this

I follow the sport casually, my son is a Packers fan, which makes me one too. (I should now be a Raiders fan since they've *relocated to Las Vegas) Aaron Rogers finally leaving is good for both parties after several years of awkwardness between the team/fans and himself. I couldn't stand the sport for several years when I first arrived but have grown to appreciate it. *Relocating sports teams to cities hundreds/thousands of miles away is batshit crazy...

Be nice if he created a bidding war but I expect something like 15 million to Burnley will be the outcome. I just see the owners seeing 15 million dangled in front of them from Burnley and they'll hungrily bite their hand off. They're not very smart after all.
