That's Russia handled then. This could seriously backfire on the cun#, but amazingly, I don't think it will. I don't whether to laugh or cry anymore......

Agreed. This season's performances and achievement, for me, isn't quite enough to let him go. If we were to strengthen (and hopefully retain key players), I want to see what he can do, fresh, without 'European squad rotation' into the equation. (If of course, there is substance to the gossip and he's having 'issues', then that's a different matter)

Yeah, I quite liked watching it over here in the US. It's on TV a lot and is obviously popular hence the reason the Americans wanted to steal it. Agree though, that it lost it's appeal and turned to crap after the switch. Don't blame Ed for leaving at all. Death threats? LOL...

At least we will know where we stand with Pence and the 'This Country is a Laughing Stock' DEFCON level can be pegged back to 2.

Shakespeare's in Henderson (Las Vegas). Big screen, big sound, decent beer, breakfast and probably too many fake Mancs.

Unless you were an uberfan of any of the departed then no, I don't see celeb deaths spoiling people's year. The two that I felt sad about were Bowie and Rickman eleven months ago. Only because I was a fan of them and they had more to give and I'll miss witnessing them do it. Didn't spoil my year. Since the sixties, the notion of the celebrity exploded in music, TV and film. Massive pool of household names now, available to us on demand. Naturally then, more and more are going to pop their clogs every year and it appears that the Grim Reaper is having a grand old time. 2017 will probably be told to 'fck off' as well...

You're probably going to tell me that people die and bad things happen every year aren't you.... It's been an arse of a year.

Can everyone just stay indoors now, wrapped up, pop aspirin and stay away from sharp objects now for the next six days.... Anus horribilis 2016

Started a few years ago doing all grain brewing after a few Mr Beer kit tries. Not looked back and now using an all electric setup in mate's garage with counterflow wort chiller and kegging option. Like a lot of hobbies that involve patience and willingness to learn, adapt and improve - you'll either jump in or give up quite quickly! It can get pricey (depending on your urge to keep upgrading the equipment) but you can achieve decent results with a couple of large pots, a burner, an icebox, pump, copper tubing and some discipline. The majority of what we make (and we alternate all the time - IPAs, porters, wheat with fruit, brown ales, goses, milds, etc) is pretty decent stuff now. Won a few local medals. Biggest issue recently has been a few over carbonation issues, rather than 'off' flavours in the old days due mostly to slower post boil chill time. We also have a local home brewing club close by with monthly meet/pissups at a local craft beer pub. Other than getting drunk, it's a great way to taste what everyone else is doing and getting new brew ideas.

(very popular) Right wing weirdo media with links to Alt Right. Coupled with the statement that thin skinned Trump gave a few months ago that he intends to go after and sue media outlets he doesn't like if he deems them 'unfair'. Usually when a new administration is preparing for government they seek to come across as trying to unite a very divided nation, granted it's only been a few days since the result, but it's looking very unsettling.

Yeah, it's quite an eye opening mix of sorts hes inviting into his new house....

He was totally out of his depth again. Thought it was cool when he called Mexicans "bad hombres" though.

Trickledown economics is ******** in my opinion, but I'm sure there are economists out there who think it still works, sure. I was aware that it had risen in several major cities as the report shows and is titled, but I'm pretty sure it is down overall, nationally, as has been the trend in previous years. That said, my city, Las Vegas, it's up, and yes, it is worrying and is a problem. I'd say the ISIS movement started and gathered momentum amid the chaos that was Iraq after the second war. How has it been handled since? Could it have been better? Probably. Is the answer joining Putin in bombing the **** out of the Syrians? Trump says it is. Oh, she's not the right person, give me Bernie any day. Yep, he's a ****. We can agree on that.

A few points. He mentions the post recession sluggish economy - fair enough, it is pretty crap but fails to mention sustained growth for 7 years in a row and decent job growth. (The author's champion said unemployment was at 40% at one point last year). He declares that Trump's tax cuts will let the economy prosper with trickle down economics..hmmm. Racial tension is leading to riots...um yes. How is Trump going to handle that little nugget? Violent crime is up sharply? No, it's actually down. The destabilisation in the middle east and ISIS had much to do with the vacuum left in Iraq, again, did not come about due to the last administration's actions. He says how Trump will restore international relations. How? With Russia perhaps. It reads as a cherry picked Trump manifesto and a lot of non-truths thrown in for good measure. I'm not suggesting Obama has been terrific in the last 8 years and that Hillary will somehow make things wonderful but this blind assertion that Trump is the answer is ludicrous.

He may be educated but there's an awful lot of ******** in that article. It's at least, a bit more coherent than post 305 for example.

Hmmmm, changed my mind overnight about this. Today's growing list of GOP people jumping ship seems to indicate that they're saving face, throwing in the towel and will direct funding towards Senate seats instead. I think he's toast. Can't wait for the debate tomorrow.

Nah...nothing to see here. His supporters love this sort of thing. Shows he's a man's man and all that. He's done and said worse to jeopardise the female vote, but there are still women out there who would like him as president.

USA fans - Europa and League Cup
LVSaint replied to LVSaint's topic in Overseas Saints / Supporters Groups
Our Capital One Cup game against Palace seems to have disappeared from FSP schedule, oh well. I just got a one month free trial of FSP through Directv, although I'm not so sure there will be any more Saints games within the month...and I'm not paying any money for their non-HD service. Pity that the UEFA channels have gone from Directv's lineup... -
Fox Soccer Plus 2pm PST Thurs. delayed - Saints vs Sparta And also week after, they are showing the Palace/Saints cup game. Am hoping that Directv Europa channels 480-489 come through again for some Saints games later on.
-
Yeah I missed that, wanted to watch it. Switched off HBO for the time being until Westworld starts in the autumn...

Go and binge watch Stranger Things on Netflix. It's really good. 80's style scifi/horror/mystery. Think The Goonies/ET/x Files rolled into one.
