This news ceratinly makes up for there being no game today. Makes me feel optimistic about the future that a player getting regular first team football is still willing to drop down a division to play for us. Even if money does talk it still goes to show that Pardew and Cortese have their sights set and Liebherr is willing to back them financially. I've been told by my Millwall mate (he's not a complete nutter!) that the police protection for away fans is pretty tight, apparently they wait at Bermondsey station and escort groups of fans to the New Den, a bit like when Millwall fans were escorted by police to St Marys in August. I know plenty of football fans that are intimidated by Millwall away and wouldn't go, the whole West Ham/Millwall league cup incident hasn't helped, but I don't think its a problem, just wouldn't fancy getting lost in that particular area of London on my own wearing Saints colours!

I think thats a practice used by every newspaper owned by Newsquest, I know the Bradford T & A do the same.
