Far worse.

Good player, but can expect a bit of off field trouble.
-
On the subject on strikers, I heard a rumour last night from someone close to Charlie Austin's parents, he is unsettled at Burnley and could move in Janaury, apparently "two Premier League clubs and a Championship club doing really well at the moment" are interested, hope they are not talking about us.

All sinners should be allowed to repent. Plus, if we do sign him and he progresses to the first team its something else to wind the blue few up about.
-
If they start putting every man behind the ball to avoid defeat I'm sure we can think of something along the lines of "park the bus Gus".

Anyone else couldn't get there due to the trains

My friend ended up going from Maryleborne and just made it, met us in the ground five minutes before kick off after changing at Lymington and jumping in a taxi at Coventry station. -
I've heard he doesn't travel very fast.

My ex girlfriend's parents were good friends with him and his wife, met him after Saints played a friendly at Reading in 2003 I think, really nice bloke. He is worshipped by the Reading fans as it was clear last night, so can't begrude him for going along with them when they went 1-0 up.

Biggest Flop Signing & Low Expectation That Came Good
Saint Samuel replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
Wasn't too sure about Lee Barnard when he first joined, initially thought he was a poor signing, but started to impress towards the end of the 2009/2010 season and he really come along well in the last year. -
We looked like going down all season, think it was the defeat to Sheffield Wednesday a few days before we got the points deduction that confirmed it for me. I'm sure a few on here will agree with me that we were destined for relegation the moment Lowe got rid of Pearson in favour for the cheaper and less equiped Poortvliet and Wotte.

Havent given it too much thought, but off the top of my head: Davis Baird----------Fonte---------------Andrew Davies------------Bale Chamberlain----------Schneiderlin--------- Viafara------------Lallana Walcott-----------Lambert

I would love us to go on a pre season tour of Ireland (and unlike Wolves actually play a few games), I was in Dublin when Villa were there last season, Temple Bar would be perfect for pre match drinks.
-
I like the Saints extract, might have to use the same technique next time I'm forced to use some nasty festival toilets.
-
For him even to be linked with Fulham shows what a good job is doing. I've told my scouse mates that he will one day be Liverpool manager, would like to think that is the only club he would leave us for.
-
I had onethe season we got relegated from the Championship, with about 10 games left I dreamt we drew our last two games of the season to stay up. Not very realistic or accurate.
-
Mid table, above Pompey, I'll take that.
-
We invited him to Bedfords for our pre match pint through Facebook Chat a couple of months ago, but unfortunately he was back in Norway.
-
I was at a Q and A with MLT at Solent a while ago and someone asked him which player today he would compare himself to and he said Rickie, I can see it, they are both specialists at free kicks/penalties, can be accused of being lazy at times, but have that ability to produce something special. Of course Rickie will never fill the great man's boots, but there is definitely a similarity there.
-
Will be pleased if they move our opening game to the Friday night for TV coverage, gives me something to do on my birthday. Have to check when the Pompey games are as soon as the fixtures are released.
-
Now that would be living the dream, but I would be satisfied with being the team that beats them to get them relegated.
-
I say support the place that feels most at home to you. I was born in Reading, but have no connection to the place at all, whereas I think of Southampton as my home.
-
I would imagine so, they did a DVD of the year we got relegated from the Premier League, so surely they will do one of a much more successful season.

It would be funny to have Holloway back at St Marys and sing "Premiership you're having a laugh" to him again, after his post match interview in January he has it coming to him. I've never been to West Ham, so that would be a top priority away day, got to tick Upton Park off the list before they move. after And wouldn't mind going to Wolves again, I remember they had a really good cider there. I don't usually have a drink at half time, but last time there we were 3-0 down after 20 minutes, so had to get on it, also enjoyed teasing the ball boy in front of us, we nicknamed him "naughty" as he was sitting on what looked like a naughty step, good memories of an otherwise depressing away day.

It worked pretty well in 2008 when we stayed up on the last day against Sheffield United. A minute before the game I remember hearing the tannoy annoucement "THERE WILL BE NO PITCH INVASION TODAY", seconds later thousands of us were on there. The players had a ring of stewards around them as they went around the pitch, seemed all ok to me.
