  1. That's how I know of him lol! Is he any good?
  2. Fair point, but from what I can see Liebherr and Cortese aren't reckless. Time will tell I guess.
  3. How good would a full house be? Seeing all four corners full would be immense. Anyone know how many fans Exeter are bringing?
  4. Well obviously I don't, but you have to admit the signs are good!
  5. On sale now at ticket office http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10280~1837955,00.html
  6. What, you mean ludicrously sacking managers left, right and centre? Thankfully, we appear to have rich, but not megalomanianic owners...I doubt Man City have got a 5-minute plan, let alone a 5-year plan. Ourselves, on the other hand, have owners who are implementing a carefully devised business plan...let's face it, if they wanted to make money fast they wouldn't have touched a League One club with a bargepole.
  7. Not quite as good as Exodus Geohagan...
  8. I doubt they'll quibble over a few quid. We're rich now!
  9. It's the Echo, so they don't know. They're just looking for a story and by getting it in a week before so they can claim exclusivity, since it's not beyond the realms of possibility that it could be postponed.
  10. Cortese seems to think a sell-out is possible...would be bloody amazing to see SMS full again. We ought to win it comfortably, then can move on to Colchester in good spirits to get back to winning ways on the road again. By the time 'uddersfield come to SMS we might have another couple of players on our books. Good times!
  11. If he's unattached, we wouldn't need to wait for the transfer window would we? That being the case, I think if he aint here now, he aint ever going to be.
  12. I'd love Beckford, but I don't think it's realistic tbh. I don't think he's going to leave a team virtually guaranteed promotion to come to one battling for the play-offs. Having said that though, I did read Pardew's comments the other day where he said that Beckford and Lambert would compliment each other so maybe there is hope! http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1908405,00.html
  13. Saw Holt after the game and asked him how his face was...didn't appreciate it much I don't think, just walked off, probably in search of a burger the dirty, fat ****
  14. This should probably be put on a different thread but I couldn't be arsed to sift through and find it... I was at a Christmas do last night where I met the wife of one of Saints' physios who told me that Liebherr has released "sizeable funds" for Pardew to strengthen the playing squad in January. Interesting times ahead methinks!
  15. so complete bull then if it's from the Echo!
  16. I'm sure we'll see a much improved performance and hopefully a clean sheet! Or is that too much to ask from a game against Norwich? BBC website says Murty could be back but I really doubt he'll start, that's disappointing as I don't rate James at RB. Maybe move Thomas there and put Trotters back in CB with Jaidi to put things right from last week, then play James as a DM where I really think he could do a great job.
  17. Great to see Pards not pandering to some players' egos like previous managers have done..."We have certainly addressed the issues that went on in the game on Sunday, and there are some excuses from the players that have surfaced that I will accept to a degree, and others that I won't." We'll put Sunday's game down to a blip, let's not lambast our own team all the time when we lose, let's say fair play to the opposition. Brighton were immense last Sunday IMO and I think on any other day we'd have beaten them even with the performance we put in. I'm convinced we'll see a reaction from the boys today...I just hope that's the case so the boo-boys on here will be silenced!
  18. Are you actually for real? I can't believe you are even considering that we "might be ****e again". It's impossible for any team to win every game and to suggest that we could be a crap team after one poor performance and result is just ludicrous.
  19. On first reaction, I was concerned that if Coppell did take over at Brighton then our 'new manager' jinx would kick in again, especially given the fact that he's an awesome manager. Then, I thought of our recent jinx record: 1) Sky Live jinx: outcome - draw with Millwall. 2) New manager jinx: outcome - draw with Colchester. So...our 3rd attempt will end in a victory, even if it is Coppell who ends up taking over! COYR!
  20. Worried that Preston won't let Trotman play. Suggests they'll want him back in Jan. Not good news for us. Time for Liebherr to flash the cash again methinks, offer Preston a deal they can't refuse and sign him permanently!
  21. To all those demanding 4-4-2 from the start, it may be worth remembering that Connolly's only just coming back from a long-term injury so probably isn't fit enough to start games just yet, especially given that he's now in his 30s. Also, I'm not sure how effective Antonio would be if he started games, he seems to do really well as an impact sub when the opposition defenders are getting knackered. Might be worth trialling that in the cup next week (if he's still with us then of course)
  22. James at RB = disaster IMO. I thought he had a decent game today (certainly did as much as anyone else) and I think he and Hammond can do really well for us in the middle. As for the final third...let's hope Papa Waigo can do the business pace and creativity-wise!
  23. Proves that his said desire to leave for the sake of his international career is b*llox. He can **** off!
  24. Wow, Pardew's really touching all bases with the new scouting system he's put in place!
  25. now read the rest of my post... "he's got heart and he's up for the battle and while those are good qualities, you also need a bit of skill and I really don't think he's got what it takes. I totally disagree with those who think he was our best player last season (behind kelvin) because every time I saw him (so, every home game), I thought he was lightweight and gave the ball away virtually every time it was in his possession." an opinion, backed up by evidence, instead of the usual doom and gloom crap that gets written on here by far too many about relegation, whether Pardew's the right man for the job etc. etc.
