Whilst I sympathise with Hartson's situation, I wont be singing his name. He has nothing to do with Southampton football club, and therefore it isnt warented IMO.

I'd rather he brought in his own men than retain the likes of Svensson. No room for sentiment in my opinion, just get the backroom staff he's happy to work with, and can help him and the squad for the difficult season ahead.

The game turned when the bibs lost a man. We went a few up, and people lost interest. Perhaps at this point we should have given the trailing side the extra player. The game did go on for a long time after that though.

Really poor all round performance IMO. Created practically nothing going forward. How we scored twice I do not know. You couldnt tell from looking that we were the League 1 club. We need to bring in some experienced heads soon, or next season will be a real worry.

Really frustrating performance from Hampshire. Great start from the openers, who both hit 70's. But after that nobody looked liked getting a score. Wickets fell regularly, boundaries dried up completely, and we really wasted the last power play. 271 is a good score, but it should have been much more given our early position and on such a flat pitch.
