It's true, I'm afraid; I heard Ken Clarke being interviewed yesterday evening about his proposals for amending our legal aid process and he said that under the new rules they wouldn't be entitled to claim it, but under existing rules there wasn't anything to stop them.
-
Yep. Loving the way that those three ex Labour MPs accused of fiddling their expenses, who having failed to hide behind parliamentary privilege and who now face a criminal court are actually receiving legal aid !!!

We visited my missus' Great Uncle's wargrave on the Somme a couple of years ago. He had been killed in one of the latter stages of that battle. He was only 21. It was in one of the smaller Somme cemetaries; off the beaten track and amongst some woodland. It was amazingly still and peaceful. We laid some flowers and it made me truly think that I could never have done when these young men did.

No, it's not EU wide. Individual countries implemented their own legislation effecting a ban. Hence Ireland were, I think, at least a couple of years before us. And, no, I don't see any possibility of "smoking areas" being introduced. The next measures to be implemented are a ban on tobacco products being displayed in places like newsagents and an outlawing of ciggie vending machines.

I went there a few years ago; I'm afraid that I don't have the words to describe it without appearing cliched, but would thoroughly recommend a visit to anyone who finds themselves in the area. It remains in exactly the state it was on the day the Germans marched out in 1944. It also features as the opening sequence in the first episode of the classic 70's series "The World at War."

Should we be afraid ? Is it something catching ?
-
Yep. I find it all a bit surreal, but very funny nonetheless. I wonder what the featured restaurants think when they see the final, broadcast version; they are proper, pukka restaurants after all.

What he said ! I think that the Iraq War was wrong and I marched in protest against it at the time. That doesn't stop me wearing a poppy each year. As R&W91 says, it's about Remembrance.

They won't mic the refs unless there was a time delay so that they could bleep out all the expletives ! I loathe the style of play that Stoke adopt, but how that tunc Neville stayed on the pitch when they played Man Poo recently is totally beyond me.

The scariest place in the World that I've ever been to is Armthorpe. FACT.

Any top tips on how to use Grape Scissors ? My in laws use them when serving these fruits with the cheese course and I find it mildly disconcerting.

Robin Friday from when my Dad took me to see Reading when I was a wee small lad. Overall, Le Tiss is/was the best by a country mile. (No bias there of course.) -
Yes, MYFC; the classic example of how fans CANNOT run a football club !!!

Glenn ****erill.

I think that Drew Surman's experience at Wolves might make Adam a little less hasty to leave.

Bad luck for all you that missed it; the 15 min test was the equivalent of dropping acid.

Just over two hours to go........ I haven't been this excited since Wembley back in March.

Count me in. TSW is the only thing that gets me through a dull, working day.

Are you sure, DP, that NC and AP read this ?? I think we flatter ourselves that they would be interested with the majority of the drivel that turns up on here !!!

How sad. Yet another thread spoiled by trolling............. sigh..............

I can't stop the theme music from "Crown Court" from going round my mind.

The goalkeeping shirt has got R.I.P printed on the back.

Yeah, the main bored is Troll Central at the moment.
