  1. Great to see WHU goal difference being eroded. Come on Saints, lets go on and win this.
  2. Get in!!!!! Come on Saints!!! Get back to the winning habit
  3. Come on Saints, nice early 2nd half equaliser please and a 3-1 result to put us back on top!!!!
  4. Two away defeats on the trot, needs to addressed, get it right and the players pumped up for the next away match.... Hopefully this will mean 3 points away at Pompey!
  5. If this is our wobble and failing to take any points from our last two aways sandwiched by a win at home, I'd take this now and work to get it right now rather than the end of season when it's too late to do anything about it. Hopefully we can address our away form now and move into the second part of the season learning from it.
  6. Going off to try one of these lucky ciggy things, hope we're at least level when I come back!
  7. Come on Saints, two late goals please!
  8. Get in burnley, now come Saints let's turn this game around!
  9. **** it, ****ed off now.
  10. Tide definitely turning back now, Burnley pull 2 back to level with Hull!
  11. Was just thinking the same, hope we can hit them with some late pressure and they crumble
  12. Blackpool equalise against boro
  13. This is a forum to discuss views, I've posted my view... where does it require bullet points?
  14. As long as the person in the seat is there to support Saints does it really matter how often they attend games, which games they choose to see? Isn't the idea of home support exactly that? It doesn't matter if they manage to see one game a Season or every game. Whether it comes down to finance, locality, employment, free time, or the opposition, does it really matter as long as they are supporting the Saints along with everyone else? I've been a Season Ticket holder on and off for the last 25 years, some years I can afford it, other years I can't, it's all dependant on what sacrifices I have to make for my family and myself, whether because of my job, an improvement to my home, a luxury purchase or a long awaited holiday. Do the years between when not having a Season Ticket and picking the games I want to go to whether glamorous or not mean that I'm a "Plastic" fan during those times? No it doesn't, because I'm there to support Southampton, my home team, my club, my choice. There have also been times when as a Season Ticket holder I have other friends who aren't. On more than several occasions I have had to hand my Season Ticket into the Box Office and be given a zero value matchday ticket in exchange as we could not get seats together where I usually sit, afterwards I am able to reclaim my Season Ticket and return to my usual seat for the next game. Something the Season Ticket wavers maybe should consider when there maybe others who they don't see in "their block" every week that may have/had a Season Ticket longer and/or supported the Saints longer than they've been alive? I really don't know where all this "I'm a better fan than you" crap has suddenly come from and I find it quite pathetic, as long as the fans that turn up in numbers week in and week out are there to support the Saints I don't see what the issue is. If these so called "Super Fans" are so upset now about irregular attending Saints fans turning up to support us when we're not selling out each week, I can't wait to see how they'll react when we get back to the Premier League and opposition fans start jumping up and down in the home stands when they score as they've done in the past in sold out games... how different will our own Saints Supporting, Non Season Ticket holders be viewed then that are currently being mocked because they don't go to every game. For those of you mocking them now... Each and every one of them will be supporting Southampton FC and taking up a seat that isn't taken up by a Man Utd, City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal fan when we do hopefully get promoted back to the Premier League. It's about time this Season Ticket/Uber fan/Super fan/Cock waving crap stopped, some Saints fans cannot attend every week, some have to work, some live far away, some can't afford to, some pick a game to hopefully see a bigger side humbled. Who cares and what does it matter as long as we're all supporting Southampton FC?
  15. Another great win today, despite being pegged back to 2-2 before winning 2-4, I always had the feeling that with our current squad we would still find the goals to go on and win. Thankfully we did and we have the confidence within the team to go on and get the result. By no means is this a critisism, but I hope we can learn to keep a clean sheet or stay ahead when on top whether Home or Away as this does seem to be a weakness we still have when we look to have a game sewn up. Frustrating that we can do it when playing against the likes of West Ham and Middlesborough when ahead where I would maybe expect us to concede and don't, but it's the games where we don't expect it that it mostly happens. I appreciate that it only so far is happening mainly away from Home but if we can address this when away too then I'll really start to believe that we could be promoted this Season, as long as keeping clean sheets doesn't come at the expense of our ability to continue scoring goals from all over the park too! I think if we need to strengthen anywhere come January then our defence should be the priority given our current ability to score goals both home and away.
  16. Certainly a good read, great to see the stats on this site too... http://weekendfootball.co.uk/analysis/form.asp?l=2&season=12&formtype=home&gamescount=16 When looking at the stats over the last 16, 18, and 20 games for Home/Away and both Saints continue to remain in the top three, one more away win and losses for Middlesboro and Brighton and we'll top all three stats! Haven't enjoyed being a Saints supporter so much since the early/mid eighties as I do now despite not being in the top tier!
  17. Peterborough win 3-2 against Derby
  18. Saw the posts here first and wasn't sure if the steve thing wad a **** take or a goal, finally saw it's actually a goal!
  19. Get in there, now come Saints get another!
  20. For ****s sake, come on Saints!!!!
  21. Your contribution to Saints scoring is astounding, keep it up Ohio!
  22. Get in there!!!
  23. Dalek... Seeing as you've now posted a number of times that you consider we're on target or will finish 17th, can you maybe share your thoughts on this prediction? EG, Can you share the number of points your 17th place prediction is based on? From those points can you also share your thoughts on which games you had us down as Wins, Draws, and losses to total the points that would have us in 17th place? Can you offer where your predicted results compare against our actual results and where that leaves your predictions for the rest of the season? I'm asking a genuine question as despite the number of posts I see regarding your prediction and the belief you have that this is where we will finish.... you have yet to say why and how you came to this conclusion. It's not like you've just reckoned where we may finish as others have done, you have been very adamant about it. Therefore you must have calculated what you'd thought would be our results over the course of the season and compared them against previous Championship campaigns to come to your conclusion. Banter aside, you've taken the critics of your prediction well and still continued to persist with it... you should now be in the position to at least share from our results to date where your prediction is still on track?
  24. The posh have put 2 in goal??
  25. Fair play to you Dalek, despite the stick you've got on here it's good to see you can take it without offence to come up with a post like this.
