Thanks Saint Garrett and 100%Red&White for the travel info, at least I know I'll be able to get there once I've sorted a ticket out.
-
Trying all sorts to try and get to this game, I've little left till end of month, and without car on Saturday, trying to get some additional funds for ticket tomorrow to ensure I'm covered for rest of the month then just to sort out how to get there in less than 12 hours after I get ticket. Hoping to get something sorted!!

The ticker tape also said that Pompey keep their Play Off hopes alive with win against Palace! WTF?? Congratulations to Reading, gave us a good run in the race for promotion, now please lose your last two.
-
Get the **** in there!!!!!!
-
Chuck 3 players that are most unlikely to score against us into that Bet and probably will get 60,000/1 as that does always bloody happen to us!
-
Can we not leave Play Off threads until after the unthinkable may happen? It's not good for my health!!! ;-)

Not forgetting Marc Vivien Foe, I think there has been another one or two since but not quite so high profile as he was. Sure someone on here would know the other more recent ones but I couldn't remember.

I really wasn't sure about him as a pundit to start with but found he has got much better now he has settled into it, his analysis of the game is spot on and balanced even with games involving Man Utd. Certainly been better than some of his predecessors so far and gives some good honest opinions and insight that doesn't favour just the top or favoured teams. TBH I find him to be far more balanced in his views than many pundits before him on Sky which makes a change.

Which pages on Ceefax/Teletext did you used to visit the most?
Gigersaint replied to jawillwill's topic in The Lounge
Bloodyhell, since getting the Internet for the first time in 1996 I couldn't even remember the last time I used teletext for football scores let alone the page number it was on! The only thing I can remember is during away games in late 80's, early 90's when I would sometimes be in Southampton with the Mrs and i'd often stop outside the TV rentals shop between BHS and McDonalds to stand and wait in their shop window to watch the pages flick over until the latest Saints score would appear. This would usually involve several visits to keep check on the scores and pretty much the only times I'd use the teletext service, think Dixons on the corner used to do the same and always have teletext on football scores for the displays in store, so could always keep track of scores when out in town away from the radio for Away games. -
Top 5 reasons not to give a f*ck if we go up or not
Gigersaint replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
More than anything else, the one thing I've found so much better (other than winning more often) is not seeing Away fans in the home ends week in an week out as they used to be when we were in the Premier League. At least when we've been at Championship level and League 1 its been pretty much been nothing less than home support. In the Premier League there's nothing worse than jumping up when we score than to find yourself surrounded by away fans as happened to me at The Dell against Leeds in the upper west stand in the mid 90's and got lumped for it. It's rare for that many away fans to be our end of course as it was on that occasion but every week there would always be a few away fans around in the Home ends from supporters of any Club in the top 10, never shy to let themselves known when they scored. Not something I can say I've really seen since we've been down from it. So should we remain in the Championship I'm happy that we'll continue to have Home support in our own stands. -
I always tend to come straight here, if I'm not on here already. I find that reading through other peoples post match opinions often helps the overall perspective of the game and not just my own thoughts of how I saw the game. The majority of the time when I read through the post match reactions I more often than not feel so much better that I'm not the only supporter that feels thoroughly ****ed off when we lose. Once the post count rises on all different threads about different aspects post match I've usually read enough to see the positives for the next game and feel a touch happier despite a few of my own nagging doubts. Overall, I think getting a wider opinion of a game after a loss is much healthier than stewing in your own thoughts of how bad it was when a little more perspective can open your own view of it on reflection... However there are the odd few times when it was as bad as you originally thought but thankfully these days they are very few and far between!

Well that was the worst weekend of results in a long while, looking forward to Tuesday night now, hopefully after that things will all start look a bit better again!

FFS why are Brighton so **** today!

Hearing rumours in the queue that the computer system for tickets has gone down, can anyone confirm this or if it is back up and running again?

Queue at St Marys stretching around the back of Kingsland at moment.

Really hope that the frustration of not beating Reading tonight results in us slaughtering Peterborough to keep us on the heels of them. If we can do that again at Middlesboro then the final game of the Season could be immense if Reading win their next two at home, but think its too much now for us to win the League, but as long as it's possible and we can now match Reading to the last game then I still have a hope we can win the title on GD!
-
I'm ****ed off to say the least, in 40 years of supporting Saints I'd hoped that at least once in my lifetime I'd see us win a title. From the position we were in before tonight I thought it was a possibility, can't see it now. Wanted to see us bury Reading and get one step further to it, can't see it happening now, and ****ed off about tonight's result is an understatement. Better ****ing win next week at Peterborough.

FFS!!! Come on!!!
-
**** OFF, **** off Reading you ****s!
-
****ing keeper! Come on Saints!!!
-
Nope, 3 points off of Reading please on Friday. Just for once in my 40+ years other than 76 I'd love to see Saints not be runners up. Want to see us beat Reading then go on to win the Championship.

F'kinhell what a game this is, worn out watching it!
