  1. There is The Enigma Tavern by the Bletchley Bus Station, about a 20 minute walk from the stadium, so it's about the same distance as from The New Bridge Inn to St Marys. Also a little further afield is the Caldecotte Arms, about 30-35 minute walk away.
  2. Quite agree, and even more so after an exhaustive 26 month investigation, I wouldn't think for a minute they would waste their time collecting evidence over this period of time just to see their man walk away with a 'Not Guilty' verdict... surely?
  3. :D:D to all three of these
  4. Getting it very wrong because it's a 3 year deal not an 18 month one?
  5. Is it possible that the PL are waiting to announce bad news regarding Pompey tomorrow so they can conclude their own findings as well as avoid potential trouble from their fans during their FA Cup game at Coventry tonight?
  6. 7th January, my birthday... With lots of us having birthdays soon, one of us is going to have a little extra to smile about.
  7. Just prepared my sprouts for tomorrow before being cooked in butter and chicken stock and sprinked with bacon bits... yum.
  8. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all on Saints Web.
  9. I only looked at this thread to join in the positive comments about Nicolas' message to the fans over the holidays, seems I'm mistaken and it's yet another thread that is supposed to be about our football club and was posted with good intention but has turned into an off topic argument about something else again? Anyway... Great to hear such positive comments from Nicola continuing to outline the ambition he and Markus share to take us forward and thanking all the fans for our support too. His message certainly reflects the new mutual respect between club and fans alike as we head towards the 2nd half of the season.
  10. Except this lady wasn't lovely and had a very deep voice. I agree though that Mr Luker knows best. As I've always understood, and why I can't understand why Ticket Staff seemed to have added an additional 1500 tickets sold today.
  11. It is odd how staff in the ticket office can come up with different figures, I went to get one for my Son this lunchtime and asked if the seat next to mine was free as it usually is. His reply was that I'd be lucky as they've sold well over 28,000. Do some ticket staff include Away Ticket sales and other don't? Got ticket next to me anyway so happy that I didn't have to leave ST behind again to pick up on a later day for a change.
  12. What a day of up and downs! Annoyed that I was in London for work today and didn't get a ticket cos thought I wouldn't be back in time, again annoyed when back in Southampton at 6.00 and could have gone after all. Happy when we went 1-0 up, annoyed at Norwich equalising, P*ssed off that they went ahead. Downcast in the 93rd minute when I thought we were going out. Went nuts when we equalised... P*ssed off when we missed first pen. Went nuts when norwich missed thiers and Bialkowski saved! Went nuts again when norwich missed and Bialkowski saved again in sudden death. P*ssed off when Antonio missed to clinch it and thought it could be over. Went nuts yet again with Bialkowskis 3rd save. Went absolutley mental when Thomas scored the winner!!!!! I'm worn out, now annoyed again that I wasn't there to see it, but ecstatic that we're through to the Area Final against the MK Dons. COYR!!!!!!!
  13. Get in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!1
  14. Get in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Excellent, thanks for posting this S-Clarke.
  16. Diane Lane, still looking hot at 45. Great in the movie 'Unfaithful' too.
  17. Completely agree with all posts above, I'm sure we'll see the players pick themselves up after a disappointing defeat against what was a very lively Brighton side and let Norwich take the backlash next Saturday.
  18. Todays result hurts... I hope it hurts the Players as much if not more too.
  19. The 76 Final is one of my earliest memories of becoming a Saints fan when I was six years old. My Mum put it on to watch while doing the ironing, we only had an old B&W TV, didn't have a colour one back then. :-( Being quite young and my first time watching a football match I didn't quite realise the enormity of the game when cheering Bobby Stokes goal. It was my Mum along with my Nan that also took me to the streets after to see the players parade the cup on the open top bus, I think that is when I realised how fantastic it all was, I had never seen so many people out as I did that day.
  20. Could be 3 points closer to Colchester and Mk Dons if we secure a win tomorrow as it stands.
  21. No probs Badger, going to be ordering from the main menu... seared scallops on a black pudding mash looking great for a starter! The Mrs doesn't know I'm taking her out for lunch yet either (Even the smallest treats can be nice surprises), so if I don't mention the bangers she can't be disappointed.
  22. Getting p**sed off with the fat, ugly, b***h of a neighbour I have who in recent weeks has got herself a new boyfriend. They've been f**king most nights now, every night for the last month making enough noise to let the whole neighbourhood know. Can't wait until he's fed up with her and p**ses off like the last few seem to have done in the last year. Unfortunately with the effort the latest one is putting in he may be around longer than his predecessors. Would be nice to watch TV in peace again without the neighbourly back ground noise.
  23. After seeing this thread and looking at the link I am taking the Mrs there for a lunch on Monday as we have the day off together. Thanks Hamster for a recommendation of what looks another good place to eat to add to my list.
  24. Only been in a Subway twice in two different locations but my experience of each of them was the same. Some dis-interested teenager behind the counter who seemed annoyed that a customer was interrupting his conversation, and carried on with while not listening to what I actually wanted in my sub, slopped all the ingredients in the roll unevenly, and killed it off when the end of the sauce bottle squirted too fast to make it horrrible and soggy, with a wrapping screwed around too loose to even hold the filling in. All this followed by a grunt for the money by another hapless teenager who couldn't give a **** without even being able to say Please or Thank you. Being in a work lunchtime didn't have time to complain on either occasion but I don't think I'll ever bother trying a third one.
